Potentially an unpopular opinion when it comes to J&H (though really, I don't know if enough people even care about Jekyll & Hyde the musical these days for anything to constitute either a popular or an unpopular opinion):

I don't care if you're really doing all of Confrontation in one go – I mean, it's super cool and I prefer it if you do, but maybe there's a good reason you can't – but I do care about the illusion. Deeply. I want it to sound and look exactly like it's all happening live right in front of me. I want to be fooled.

If you can't do that, just don't even bother with it.

#this is what ruins Anthony Warlow's Confrontation for me actually. Jekyll's and Hyde's voices are edited to overlap and I hate it #not to say I don't still listen to it all the time of course – just that it's only 99% perfect for me because of that #also not to get started about all the various styles of awkward Confrontation choreography. but.#across all live productions and bootlegs I've watched I've seen it done in a way I enjoy twice. so it's possible. just extremely rare #I didn't like all of the choreography in the first Finnish J&H #but the way the choreographer had J and H physically fight each other though it's the same guy??#exquisite #Jekyll and Hyde
