#I deleted an entire paragraph using AH/RT as another example because that's another can of worms but the fans would get what I mean

I've been watching a lot of muyskerm videos lately and some of the comments on his COD Prop Hunt vids are so fascinating??? Because to me, Bob is pretty obviously not a bigot. But in his video today he mentioned wanting to report offensive usernames in the game (understandable) and there's a bunch of comments on his video COMPLAINING and saying that they might have to stop watching his videos because he said he wants to report racists in COD lobbies?? And it's like.. I don't know what those people are watching his videos for. I don't understand how they can watch his videos and think he'd be cool with racism. (Especially since one of his best friends is literally Markiplier... who's half Korean..)
I guess it's kinda funny how badly bigots want to be accepted, to the point where they get angry when people— not activists, not ~radical leftists,~ just regular people!— make a statement as simple as “I wish I knew how to report the people with racist usernames.”
And the whole "muh muh it's free speech" thing: Call of Duty has behavioral guidelines, and they're not actually poorly written? I can't speak to how well they enforce the guidelines, but here's an excerpt straight from callofduty.com/values:
“We do not tolerate bullying or harassment, including derogatory comments based on race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, culture, faith, mental or physical abilities, or country of origin, or the amplification of any person, agenda, or movement that promotes discrimination or violence based on the above.
All members of our community should be treated with dignity and respect.
Communication with others, whether using text or voice chat, must be free of offensive or harmful language. Hate speech and discriminatory language is offensive and unacceptable, as is harassment and threatening another player.”
So Bob is well within his right as a player to report offensive usernames & report people for using in-game chat for racist shit.
It's also stupid, as a watcher of video game letsplays, to not understand that people having offensive usernames, and people saying slurs in in-game chat, effects a streamer's job. In one of Bob's latest videos, there was an in-game chat that was apparently so offensive it needed to be blurred. Those things can be caught by Twitch or YouTube moderation and then Bob (or any other creator) can get strikes against them for shit that they didn't say, and don't even endorse. It's obviously fucking annoying, when some fucking 15 year old boy's stupidity could get your channel demonetized.
