honestly getting so annoyed with people going "oh you're gonna turn 18 soon and move out you'll be out of there and be having a better life in no time!!" no i'm gonna be bare ass broke and have to work three jobs just to live while trying to go to college fucking losing my mind with no support system no community and i'm most likely just gonna fall to addiction since no one can stop me. I don't want to be an adult I want to fucking die

#there is a reason young adulthood is considered the worst and most dangerous period for borderlines #I haven't even made enough to pay for a week's worth of payments in the last two months I've been here #nothing's feasible if I was on my own #I can't get any college benefits because fucking whites made sure I can never claim my heritage #my mother had to sit and explain to me why we will never be recognized as native or part of the tribe by the government #because of how tedious it is and we don't even have the money for it and that it would ruin relationships between family #I just have to deal with being the byproduct of cultural genocide and there's nothing I can do about it #I have to choose to latch onto a native identity that's been attempted to be killed out of us for centuries #or just finally accept a white identity like my grandparents did and receive all it's privileges #it's so conflicting and upsetting
