Hi! I don't know if your request are open, but I'd like to know if you could write a rodrick x reader where the reader is Rowley's sister and discovers her talking on the phone with a friend saying she's in love with Rodrick and tells Greg and he tells her that Rodrick has been in love with her for a long time and they try to put them together?
cw: none it’s pure fluff
word count: 1.8k
“I know! And he didn’t even apologize!” Greg ranted into the receiver.
“I’m sorry, Greg,” Rowley frowned, sympathetic nature as present as always. “Anyways, mom says dinner is ready, see you tonight?” Rowley’s tone lifted at the end of his sentence, excitement brewing as he thought about the sleepover he was meant to have with Greg later that evening.
You slid into the kitchen on your socks, just as Rowley was concluding his conversation with Greg.
Rowley sat anxiously through dinner, quickly consuming everything on his plate, including the vegetables. You observed him from across the table, cocking your head as your younger brother inhaled his peas like he hadn’t eaten in days.
He took his last bite before exclaiming, “I’m going to pack my stuff for Greg’s!”
Not without clearing his dishes first, of course.
You rolled your eyes at his charisma and headed into the living room. You slumped over on the couch, limbs splayed every which way as you called your friend, Marissa. You had been needing to gush to somebody about your newest crush, Rodrick Heffley.
You had only interacted with the messy haired boy in passing: family dinners, picking up Greg, dropping off Rowley, etc.
“I don’t know what it is, he’s just so- so- captivating. God, Mar, I swear I could watch him play drums for hours on end!”
Unbeknownst to you, Rowley had entered the room and was about to speak. You were too caught up in drooling over Rodrick to notice. “Hey, y/n-” He cut himself off quickly, curiosity getting the best of him.
“And did you see what he was wearing at Matt’s party? Those jeans? And that eyeliner? God I could just tear them-”
Rowley cleared his throat, unwilling to hear the rest. “Y/n can you take me to Greg’s, please?” He stood awkwardly with his lips pursed.
Your head whipped around faster than the speed of light. “Marissa, I gotta go.”
“Rowley, how much of that did you hear?”
He lied, something he wasn’t really good at, “Not much! I promise!”
“Rowley Jefferson you had better keep your mouth shut, or I swear I’ll-”
You stopped yourself, closing your eyes and drawing in a deep breath. “Just get in the car.” You breathed out in a scarily calm tone. Your red headed sibling nodded frantically out of fear and darted to the garage.
Usually, you would make him walk, but ever since your infatuation with Rodrick began, you were more eager to give him rides over there. The mere prospect of getting the slightest glance sending excitement throughout your entire being.
When you pulled up to the Heffley home, you gave him a final glare. “Say nothing.” He gave you the same shaky nod he gave you only moments ago. With that, he was bounding towards the front door. You made sure he got inside safely and drove off.
“Rowley? Everything okay?” Greg asked his friend, concerned with his behavior. Rowley couldn’t handle keeping secrets. His hands grew clammy and a slight sweat broke out on his forehead. Rowley had an uncomfortably fake smile plastered on his face as he tried to assure Greg that everything was just peachy.
All it took was one knowing look from Greg and Rowley broke.
“Alright, fine! I heard my sister talking to her friend about how hot Rodrick is and how she wants to-”
“Okay, okay! I get the picture!”
Greg took a moment to proceed, his brows furrowed as he brought a contemplative fist up to support his chin.
“Lemme get this straight. Your sister likes my brother?”
Rowley nodded slowly.
“Y/n likes Rodrick?”
Rowley nodded again, confirming Greg’s exclamations.
“But y/n is smart a-and hot!”
“Greg! Don’t say that!” Rowley groaned, rolling his head back in disgust. Greg threw both of his hands up in defense, “I’m just stating facts.”
“Wait, I have an idea.” A pit of dread grew in Rowley’s stomach, Greg’s ideas never turned out well.
“What if we set up y/n with Rodrick? Just hear me out, this could be good for him.”
Rowley mulled the idea over in his head, thinking that maybe dating you could make Rodrick more… agreeable? Maybe you could be a good influence on the intimidating teenager. A happier Rodrick would make sleepovers at Greg’s a lot more pleasant.
“I think that could work,” Rowley said apprehensively. “But how do we do it?”
Greg shrugged, “Simple, we just tell Rodrick there’s a really hot Girl interested in him.”
The boys proceeded to draw up a plan.
Phase one: The approach. Greg and Rowley nervously ascended the wooden steps that led to Rodrick’s room. Rodrick was laying on his back, spinning a drumstick between his nimble fingers.
He shot up immediately when he noticed the boys’ presence. “What are your dweebs doing up here?”
Phase two: Delivery. “Calm down Rodrick, we have some information you might wanna know,” Greg reasoned cooly, easing Rodrick’s anger from a roaring ten to a mild six.
Greg nodded over at Rowley, signaling him to start talking.
“W-well,” Rowley stuttered, “I uhm- heard my sister talking about you and she- she likes you and she was talking about your jeans?”
Rodrick blinked in confusion, processing this intel.
“Your sister likes me? Are you sure she meant me?”
“That’s what I said!” Greg exclaimed and Rodrick shot him a terrifying glare, silently telling Greg to can it.
Rodrick was honestly shocked. He always observed you from afar, deciding himself that a chick as cool as you would never go for him. This news was absolutely world shattering for the boy, he completely admired you.
Phase three: Action. “We have a plan.” Greg said, a conniving grin creeping onto his face. “Rowley calls y/n, tells her that he’s feeling sick and blames it on Mom’s pot roast or something. Then when she rushes over all worried, you greet her at the door. And then you work your Rodrick magic!” Greg smiled, abundant pride for his plan evident in his stature.
“It’s a go.” Rodrick declared, scrambling around his room to put on deodorant, a new t-shirt, and cologne before pointing at Rowley. “Make the call.”
“Hey, y/n,” Rowley groaned into the phone, sounding as sick as he possibly could. “I- I think I ate something bad and I really need you ro come get me.”
You sighed, telling him you’d be there in ten minutes and to have his things ready to go. You departed for the Heffley house for the second time that night.
When Rowley didn’t come out to your car, you trudged up to the red door to go retrieve the sickly boy.
You gave the door three lazy knocks, expecting Rowley’s face to be the one behind it when it swung open. “Hey kid, are you feeling okay?” You asked, not yet making eye contact with the figure leering in the doorframe.
Your eyes widened as you came to realize who it was.
“Funny seeing you here,” Rodrick drawled out, a smirk tugging at his lips. Your cheeks burned with the heat of one thousand suns, you were not expecting this tonight.
“Y-yeah,” you smiled awkwardly, staring at your feet. “Rowley called, he uhm, he’s not feeling well. So if you could just get him for me I can leave. Immediately.” You cursed yourself for your blubbering idiocy as you twiddled your fingers.
“Actually, Rowley is feeling much, much better.” Suspicion grew as you studied Rodrick’s devious expression. “What’s going on?” You asked, genuinely puzzled as nothing was making any sense.
“I don’t know, y/n. Why don’t you come in and tell me?” Rodrick was surprisingly smooth in this situation, despite his nerves being at an all time high.
“Rowley is just up here,” Rodrick said while guiding you up the stairs to his room. In the meantime, Greg and Rowley peered out from the hallway, watching you follow Rodrick upstairs and giggling to themselves.
The overhead lights in Rodrick’s room were turned on, the glow from his string lights illuminating the area instead. “Mood lighting,” as he had called it. Rodrick had already instructed the boys to stay far away once you had arrived.
You were still lost, Rowley nowhere in sight. “So? Where is he?” You asked expectantly.
“Here’s the thing y/n. You know Rowley can’t keep secrets, right? I mean you have to know that, he is your brother”
Shit.
“That little shit stain! I’ll get him, I swear to god!” You turned to bound down the stairs, ready to tear the entire house apart in hunting for him. Rodrick grabbed your wrist before your foot could even reach the first step.
“Y/n, relax, relax!” His grip on your flesh made your breath hitch and stomach churn. “It’s okay, I feel the same way.” Rodrick’s cocky facade dissipated into nothing as he revealed his feelings.
You got a glimpse of a more vulnerable side of Rodrick that you were sure he didn’t typically share. “But girls like you don’t usually like stupid guys like me,” Rodrick was staring at the ground now, grasp on your arm softening.
You were too unsure of your words so you opted to move your free hand to hold his bicep, closing a considerable amount of distance between the two of you in the process.
“Rodrick, I’ve never liked anybody as much as I like you. And I don’t mean that in a weird or creepy way it’s just that-”
Now it was time for Rodrick’s own addition to the plan. Phase four: The kiss.
Your rambling was cut short by a pair of warm lips pressing against your own. He kissed you with just enough force to cause you to stumble back a bit, causing you to brace yourself against his torso.
He carded a gentle hand through your hair and tugged back on your soft locks. You moaned at the vibrations tendrilling at your scalp and kissed him with even more ferocity.
Somehow, you ended up on his bed, straddling him. The blankets strewn across his mattress melded against your knees and the fronts of your calves as you stabilized yourself on his lap.
He placed apprehensive hands on your hip bones, unsure of what was okay and what wasn’t. You placed your hand on top of his larger one, assuring him that you were comfortable. You even allowed a small whimper to leave your throat as he tightened his hold on you.
You only pulled away to catch your breath, looking into his eyes for the first time that night. You smiled warmly at him as you cupped his cheek. Suddenly, Rodrick’s signature smirk returned to his face.
“Now tell me what you were saying about my jeans.”

Welcome to Oblivion-Ch. 18
Tumblr media
Chapter 18
           Sonya pulled a jacket out of her closet and held it out to me. “What about this?”
           I stepped out of the bathroom we shared with our suite mates; my hair still wrapped around the curling wand. The jacket was made of short, black leather with a silver buckled belt on the waist. “You don’t think it’s too much?”
           She draped it over the side of my bed. “Nah,” she replied looking over the rest of my outfit. “I’ve got some really nice boots that might look good, too.”
           “Sonya, I’m not…” I caught myself before I said something I would regret. “Are you sure I’m not trying to do too much?”
           “Addy, sweetheart,” she said, taking the curling wand from my hand. She swatted me out of the way as she took over my hair. “I’ve known Dean Ambrose practically as long as I’ve known Roman. Trust me.”
           While she finished curling and styling my hair, I put the finishing touches on my makeup. Things had been easy and natural with Roman. With Dean… I didn’t know how it was going to go. It felt like I was putting way too much effort into it.
           Twenty minutes later, I was standing in front of the mirror in a pair of strategically shredded straight legged jeans, a burgundy tank top, Sonya’s jacket and a pair of white wedged sneakers. My hair was curled and twisted into a high ponytail. My makeup was just dramatic enough o set off my eyes and cheekbones, but not so much that it made me look different.
           “I feel so weird,” I huffed to Sonya one last time. She stuffed my phone, my keys, my ID, and some cash into a wristlet purse and tucked it into my hand.
           She waved me into silence. “You look hot. And Dean is gonna die when he sees you.”
***
           I paced the lounge in the dorm, clutching Sonya’s loaned purse in my fingers. Dean was supposed to pick me up at eight and the clock was ticking fast toward it. I leaned against the wall near where Drew was sitting with Nya Jax, one of the girls who lived on the third floor. He let out a low whistle when he saw me.
           “Roman’s going to have fits,” the Scotsman said when he looked me up and down. “You look good, Addy.”
           “Thanks, Drew, but… um…” I tucked my hair behind my ears nervously. “I’m…”
           Nya chuckled and jerked her head toward the door. “I don’t think she’s dressed like that for Roman.”
           I looked up and caught sight of Dean waiting in the quad. He was in a pair of well-tailored jeans, a fitted black Henley, and a thick, warm looking leather jacket. There was a grey beanie tugged over his auburn hair. There was a grin on his face as I waved goodnight to Drew and Nya.
           The wind bit into me as I hurried out the door toward him. His grin got bigger as he crossed toward me with determination in his step. The moment I was within reach, he pulled me against his chest and slipped his fingers around the back of my neck, tilting my head to his liking as he kissed me as if was a perfectly normal thing to do.
           “Hey there, princess,” he said, his voice deep and gruff. Dean stroked his thumb against my jaw. His denim blue eyes searched my face. “Come on, let’s get you somewhere warm.”
           Dean tucked me against his side and walked quickly toward the parking lot beside Felton Hall. He walked straight to a matte grey Chevy and opened the door. I didn’t know anything about cars, but I could tell that it was old and in pretty good condition. Dean smiled nervously as I slid inside, careful not to touch anything.
           He slid into the driver’s side and started the engine. It roared to life as he pulled out of the lot. He drove slowly down the street that circled the outside of the campus, his fingers twitching on the gearshift as if he couldn’t wait to open it up.
           A moment later, he pulled out onto the main street. The engine growled as he hit the gas, tearing off town the mountain road toward town. We drove in silence for a while. I looked down at my clutched hands, thinking that maybe this whole thing was a bad idea. They were wrong about this. It wasn’t what they thought it was.
           Dean pulled his beanie off and ran his hand through his fluffed hair. I watched him from the corner of my eye, wondering what he was thinking. “You look nice tonight,” I said quietly, not sure if he cared.
           His lips tipped upward in a lopsided smile. In the dim light, I could see a faint blush run over his cheeks. “You’re beautiful,” he replied. “All the time.”
           I caught my bottom lip between my teeth and looked away, suddenly shy under his attention. He reached over and took my hand, his fingers warm and calloused against mine. Time ticked by slowly and bought with it a sense of calm and ease.
           “What kind of car is this?” I asked after a while. The sound of the engine purred against my eardrums, soothing me almost into a sleep-like stupor. I snuggled down into the leather seat and turned my head toward him.
           He flexed his hand on the steering wheel. “Camaro. 1967.” The words came out matter of fact, as if that was the end of the conversation.
           I sighed and looked out the windshield. “Where are we going?”
           Dean’s body visibly relaxed. “There’s a pub downtown. Thought you might like something different than a traditional jock style date.”
           I grinned as I turned toward him. “So you think Ro does jock dates?”
           He grinned broadly in response. “Let me guess… burgers on the tailgate at the lookout?” I nodded reluctantly. “Movies and the steakhouse? And… the pizza joint?”
           “Two for three, Ambrose,” I said, shaking my head sadly. “We’ve never been to the steakhouse.”
           “Ro’s slacking, then. That’s clear first date material for a jock.” His words were harsh, but teasing. I’d known him long enough to know that Roman was his best friend. Teasing and ragging on each other was their love language.
           I felt my mouth curve into a smirk. “And what kind are you?”
           We pulled up to a stoplight and he turned fully toward me. His eyes were a dark blue that bordered on gunmetal when he grinned. “The one your momma warned you about.”
           “Then why am I on a date with you?”
           He revved the engine, pulling out the moment the light turned green. “Because you’re the kinda girl who doesn’t listen to her momma.”
***
           The pub was a dimly lit hole in the wall sort of place that you would find somewhere in Europe. A long, well-polished bar stretched down one side, mismatched stools lining up along it. The other side of the room had a row of booths separated by antique looking stained glass dividers. A dart board hung on the back wall in the center of a green foam block to protect the wall from stray throws. There was a pool table in the center of the room beneath an old-fashioned style ceiling lamp. Dean led the way to one of the booths near the back, his hand tight on mine as we went.
           He stood aside and let me slide onto the bench. Then, instead of taking the seat on the opposite side of the table, he plopped into place next to me. I was clearly and desperately aware of how warm he was, how the stubble on his cheek was a mix of auburn and brown and blond, and how his cologne smelled like something spicy and sharp. He tucked an arm around my shoulders and pulled me into his side.
           “So… what’s your poison, princess?” he queried, pulling a menu in front of him. He flipped straight to the drink list. “They don’t have many of those fruity cocktail things here.”
           I let my eyes walk down the list. Alcohol had never really been my thing. My parents never really had a ban against it, and I’m sure they wouldn’t have gotten upset if I had gotten smashed at home, but I’d never had more than a mixed drink before. A margarita at best. A daiquiri or two.
           I tried to convince myself to try something. It seemed like the thing to do. Dean had brought me here for a reason. I’d known almost as long as I’d known him that Dean was one of those guys who drank every now and then. And it shouldn’t have surprised me that he’d get a drink on our date. But I couldn’t quite bring myself to order anything—truth be told, I wasn’t much inclined to it.
           A waitress stopped at our table. She looked vaguely familiar with long blonde hair died pink at the ends. I tried desperately to figure out where I knew her from. “Can I get y’all something to drink?”
           Dean looked at me first. I licked my lips and took a breath. “Coke… or Pepsi. Whichever you have.”
           He raised a brow and smirked. “You want anything in that?”
           I looked him in his teasing blue eyes, feeling the knot of nervousness release in my chest. “Ice. And a cherry.”
           The laugh that dropped out of him made me feel bright on the inside. His eyes crinkled as his smirk turned into a grin and then a smile. “I’ll have the same,” he said, not looking away from me. “But put some Jack in mine.”
           The waitress nodded her understanding and bobbed off to the bar. Dean nudged me gently with his forehead. “You’re one of those straight edge types, aren’t you? Like Seth.” My expression must have let him know I wasn’t familiar with the categorization. “You know, no alcohol, no drugs, that sort of thing.”
           I nodded in understanding. “Well, definitely on the no drugs side. But I’m not against alcohol. I just don’t drink it much. And definitely not on a first date, Dean Ambrose.”
***
           Dean grinned easily. It was something that I’d noticed about him early on. And when he smiled—actually smiled—it was breathtaking. He was easy to be around. But he was intense in a way that made me think thoughts that made my heart race.
           “Like this, look,” he said as we stood six or seven feet from the dart board. Dean stood behind me, holding a bundle of darts in one fist and settling the fingers of his other hand on my wrist. He pulled my hand up in near alignment with my eye line. “You’ve got to line it up. And don’t let go so late. They’re gonna make me pay for the gouges in the floor.”
           He’d convinced me to play darts and, when he’d quickly realized I had no idea what to do, had resolved to teach me. We’d been at it for half an hour, but I was no closer to hitting the bullseye than I had been at the beginning. But he seemed to like teaching. Or maybe he liked the fact that he was pressed up against me, his chest slotting firmly against my back.
           “I’m done,” I said breathily, slapping my free hand on his forearm. “I’m tapping out. If you’re so good at it, then you do it.”
           He smirked in a devilish sort of way. “What’s in it for me?”
           “What do you want?” The words were out before I could stop myself. The twinkle in his eyes was a clear indication that I’d made a very bad decision.
           Dean leaned close to my ear and dropped a teasing, lingering kiss on the side of my throat. “Five minutes of making out for every bullseye.”
           I watched him carefully for a moment, deciding whether I was willing to take that bet. He’d thrown a few shots earlier and had hit the target, but nowhere near the center. His last drink had been over an hour ago, so I couldn’t count on alcohol messing with his aim. And honestly, as much as I tried to convince myself that I was taking the bet because I was sure he’d lose it… I desperately wanted him to win it.
           “Done.”
           His brows lifted toward his hairline, clearly surprised that I’d taken the bait. “All right then.”
           He wriggled his shoulders, warming up exactly as I’d seen him do in the cage. He took a deep breath and let it out then, one by one, threw the darts in his fist.
           And one by one… two, three, four, five, six… they lodged in the bullseye. The first two shots fell out when the third landed, to which he was quick to shout, “Those still count!”

Unexpected: Isla's 1st Xmas Event | Future AU|| Day 6: Fake Date
"Are you sure you can't come?" Isla whined as she FaceTimed her girlfriend, pouting her lip out.
"Babe, it's late, you're getting on my nerves and I'm already in England with the headache, the heartache, and the bitches... it's bad enough Elliot brought his stray pet-"
"Persephone~" a small voice whined from behind the ginger.
"If you actually say anything else, yeah, ima fucking kick you!" She yelled behind her.
"Persephone... please, I just.. can't you just get on a flight? Steal your dad's card and go?..." Isla pleaded.
"No.. they locked up our stuff. I'm talking to you on Bryony's laptop, such an angel that woman," she rambled, "I told her I wanted to make sure you didn't want anything from over here that I could bring with me after holiday, that isn't my mother's head on a spit."
"Where's she?" Isla asked as she wiped her tears
"Nandos I'm sure, or Wagamama or someplace with my dad cooling off...we couldn't even get her to come to Bath once we got to Manchester to see Dan's parents," the girl sighed, rubbing her forehead and temples.
"Sorry baby...I..I think I'm just nervous that he's bringing me to this party that you've always told me about-"
"Isla, sweetie..I'm telling you it's better that Reiner is taking you-"
"But I'm your girl.."
"And you're Reiner's girl. At least for tonight...I've already told you those people usually don't like the drama that we bring..at least with Reiner..you can hide.." Persi explained, a small tear falling down her face.
"I didn't wanna fucking hide! Persi, listen, what is it you're trying to prove to me?"
Persi was extremely quiet while she wiped her eyes and pushed her hands through her hair. The girl knew that she had to say it, "You gotta see why I hated being there...or.. knowing you..you might like it. Forcing myself to be normal when all I craved was chaos...personally it's fun from what I remember..but have a that little taste of normality..see if it fits you..."
Isla started to wipe her own eyes as she heard Persi's words. She made sure her moments weren't going to be ruined anymore. The girl's heart swelled as she chuckled a little, "What if I get bored?"
"Reiner will make sure nothing happens to you. We already planned an alternative date just in case...”
“Will you be there?”
“No, just..go on a date with your boyfriend, god!” Persi snapped playfully.
~~~
“Does it fit you?” Reiner asked, watching Isla looking at herself in the mirror and she kept tugging at the dress.
“I don’t really feel like..wearing a dress...” Isla said as she smoothed the fabric for the tenth time, really not understanding where her distaste for this dress came from. She was so excited before the boy picked him up and suggested they get dressed at his house with his family just for a taste. So far, she was very surprised at how small Rosanna was and how alike Mark and Reiner looked. She wasn’t one to fuck someone’s dad, but if Mark is anything like Reiner, it’s not happening. She had never seen a couple so excited for their eldest son to be dating and it was making Isla slightly uncomfortable.
Apparently, this was the house where the party was going to be held, and she was excused from setting up. However, she got to sample all of the sweets and watch Ro record for her video- something she was used to, but it was the fact that the house was full of dogs and family and noise. The fact that they had to remain upstairs and wait until they were nearly done downstairs- Reiner even leaving their makeout session to help his father with adding onto the already excessive Christmas decorations. Her parents tried to give her great experiences around the holidays, but slowly but surely Isla was understanding why Persephone allowed her to come with just Reiner.
“She’s not allowed in the main part of the house, you know,” Reiner commented as he attentively fixed his sweater and his collared shirt underneath.
“She didn’t tell me that,” Isla said as she finished putting together her makeup look. She had almost cried when the kids and Rosanna had offered if she needed help with her makeup. This was becoming a tad much. They hadn’t even eaten yet.
“Yeah..let’s just say..it was for the best and it took..many..many tries. She used to be a very impulsive and aggressive kid. That’s why it surprised me when I started to fall for her because I started sneaking her into my room so she had someone to talk to or sober up with-”
“She’d drink when she was here?”
“When the legal age to drink in England is 18, yeah..She knew her way around a drink from a very young age. It kept her from breaking things...” he replied, looking straight at himself in the mirror with regret and nostalgia.
“How many-”
“8 years. Her hormones made her worse and so she started to get worse and so that’s when my parents had pulled her parents to the side and told her that they couldn’t have her here for the sake and safety of them and everyone else’s kids...She had realized it that year that there was something wrong and there wasn’t much anyone could do, but she promised and told me she just wanted to be better. She doesn’t hate the holidays, just what they’ve always meant for her,” Renier explained as he watched his girlfriend lose her thought and her body become still.
Isla had been so lost. She knew that Persi had issues, and Reiner got tired of this, but this was just too much. This overwhelming sense of family. The consistent teamwork and overbearing support. She needed someone to yell in aggression. A curse word. Hell, some straight hard liquor. There is no neglect, no abuse, no lack of love. It’s all love. The girl was no longer excited. She now feared for her life. A gentle hand on her back and a slight kiss on her cheek made her body heat up and she quickly turned to see Reiner and herself in the mirror. Her makeup was stunning. Her dress was beautiful. His sweater was warm, and his cologne was intoxicating. Her body automatically turned and kissed his lips. “I need Persephone-” she gasped, looking frantically, shaking her head, “I-I can’t do this!~”
“Yes you can,” Reiner said, “You deserve this-”
“No! It’s too perfect! I can’t...I can’t breathe...! I told you I don’t like this dress! I-...where’s Persi...?”
“She’s in England, babe-”
“THEN TAKE ME TO ENGLAND! Take me out of this house with all these decorations and these smells, a-and the fucking SOBRIETY!..This energy is too much, it’s unfair...how can you do this?!” she looks up at him, pulling her carefully done up hair out of its style and trying to keep her voice hush.
“First of all, take a few breaths while I get you some water. Sit down and take the makeup and the dress off. I’ll get you some clothes that’ll fit you-”
“I can’t do clothes right now...” she said as she simply shook her head and hypenventilated.
“That’s fine...” He said as he walked into his bathroom and she immediately nearly ripped the dress off.
“I’m sorry~..I-I just...I just can’t...” she said, curling herself up on the bed, “I need Persi...Is she safe?”
“Yes...Yea, Mom..She got some really bad cramps and just started throwing up...Uhhh, she’s feeling better, but she’s gonna need to rest up...Yea she’s got medication...It’s probably endo..I can still come down to the party, if you need extra han- Oh thanks...I-...just send Sylvan to bring the food..I don’t think she’s eaten since this morning..Alright, enjoy your party...Yea I guess so...Alright, Mom, bye,” Reiner said as he got off the phone with his mother.
“I actually do have endometriosis, babe” Isla said, watching him strip out of his clothes.
“Well, lucky guess. I just didn’t want them running up here from the party in the basement or calling an ambulance-”
“Reiner~~ when did you get so bad- lying to your parents like that?” Isla smirked, biting her lip, propping herself up on her elbows, her anxiety beginning to subside. She was baffled, but she would think about it later. Maybe there was something to her ruining experiences for herself even though there wasn’t anything that ruined it before there to do so. Not even her mother.
“Look, Persephone didn’t always be out of commission for the rest of the party, and was perfectly fine to go back down- the party is in the basement by the way- well, the grotto...I dunno what they call it anymore. Anyway, that’s how we started hanging out, almost any time she came over before she stopped,” Reiner said, crawling into his bed with Isla, laying on his folded arms, “She told me that this might happen, so that’s why I’m not upset- 1. Because she does this all the time..and 2. You did this before I kissed you. So-”
“Is this the alternative date she told me about?” Isla asked, cutting him off.
“Yeah, it’s alternative because this was hers...And now it’s yours too..This is the most..even relationship, I’ve ever been in- given all the parallels,” Reiner giggled before getting a forehead kiss from her, “Thanks.”
“Did you start doing this to look for a reason to look for you to not go to these parties anymore?” she asked, giggling as she snuggled up to him as she kisses him a little.
“Totally..”
