Overall I often think about Nico's entire self as characterized by being an outsider and it breaks my heart sometimes. Everything about him is "not like everyone around", from his nationality/ethnicity to his queerness and his parentage. And I can't even say that he's looking for acceptance/community (unlike his sister), he just gave up and accepted that he will never belong. I have so many feelings about his premise (not always execution).

#🌞#Sometimes I think about how the only people who directly said 'I love you' to Nico are Bianca and Will. With an interval of multiple years.#I am not considering much stuff past PJO here bc Nico's writing is consistent and non-self-contradictory in the first saga.#The rest... I accept sporadically/episodically.#And with that being said I think Hazel somewhat reflects Nico's issues and they would have been great if Richard cared about Hazel.#But it's a bigger can of worms I think and Hazel's premise is great to go alongside Nico if the author could write. Not about her currently #rrverse #pjo #nico di angelo
