Playing a Nate-specific Raine run because it's stupidly faster than code-diving (Jenkins, why did you code so much useless variation omfg???) and, while I understand that the LI's are hardwired to like you regardless and I'm not doing a lot with actual canon in the rewrite, it at least gives me a framework to bounce off of. However, I didn't anticipate two things that will be very funny for the rewrite:

Raine "I'm not flirting, I'm just being friendly" Callaghan seeing Nate blush in response to a flirt for the first time is immediately a little smitten about it. Hellbent to make it happen again, because gods if Nate isn't attractive and what's a little harmless flirting anyway, especially when Nate is obviously receptive to it. And

Adam, across the room, watching his best friend, a man he's still holding a candle for, hit it off swimmingly with a man Adam has been tempted to smack on occasion if it weren't for the fact that hitting your handler's son is incredibly frowned upon.
