I love Emma tpn so much for so many reasons but not least of which because she is perhaps the only female shonen protagonist to never ever be sexualized or used for fanservice. at all. and we can all have opinions on anime/manga and its use of fanservice in general but the fact that it is 100% absent from tpn, which was pretty significant and popular when it started (and might have become even moreso if the rest of its story had actually gotten adapted) is still so groundbreaking and insane to me, ESPECIALLY because it was a series in the shonen genre that chose to have a female protagonist. and it still never caved. holding it in my heart forever and ever
