My second comeback as an atiny and my first time getting to vote for a title track! 💕
I'm just gonna go over some of the things in deja vu I noticed off the bat. I'll scour over the mv with a fine tooth comb later but yeosang and seonghwa put me in chokehold this go around (in the mv no less! It's usually stages that murder me) plus it's 6 am and not only have I not slept but I have class later so I'm not at top form. Some things in no particular order:
I tried going through the lyrics first after getting obliterated by visuals the first go around just watching normally and we have some pretty obvious lyrical parallels like inception (dream in a dream) and desire (I'm thirsted by desire). There's probably a lot more subtle ones but I'm not done with my lyric translation and too sleepy to notice.
Wooyoung and the black dahlias. Leave it to wooyoung to literally have the flower that symbolizes betrayal lmao.
Speaking of wooyoung, whatever THAT move was with San was very reminiscent of something tm. I just can't quite put my finger on what. I thought it was their fake love cover at first but no that bit of choreo is achingly familiar.
And speaking of San, my poor boy can't catch a break can he 😭 he's just always trying his best tm and keeps getting shit happen to him. He already got shot by mingi in thanxx and now he has wooyoung doing whatever exactly that was to him. Side note: San always has the save me lines as well
The grouping of yeosang and seonghwa again! It showed up especially prominently in thanxx before this point
Yeosang if San has all the save me lines you always have the remember ones I swear. Given the incident with the chromer at the end I'm inclined to believe that yeosang got here before hala!honjoong did but when he arrived his chromer broke so he's been trapped with school!ateez. Given yeosang's persistent imagery of being trapped it wouldn't be that much of a stretch to say he was trapped in this dimension too.
That hand at the end with yeosang. It's pretty obviously the school!ateez uniform and while seonghwa, hongjoong, or yunho could all be possible contenders given my understanding of the plot, the line yunho says in inception of "You didn't know me. After I bumped into you" can point towards that hand belonging to him. (Tbh I initially thought that line was talking about jongho given yunho saved him from quote "giving up everything" so we already have an established history of yunho offering people hands)
The tvs with yeosang and seonghwa remind me a lot of the tvs in the diary film as well as the tvs from inception.
The blue butterfly from answer returns! What that means story wise I'm not quite sure. Yeosang has it and given the end bit it might be relevant but 🤷‍♀️. I place answer at the end of my timeline so I'm more concerned with the how did we get there thing over what answer means.
The cars tm. Not gonna lie I'm absolutely one of those atiny that went WAIT THE CARS FROM THANXX MEANT SOMETHING??? Given the little fancy transition we got from jongho going ahhh to hongjoong facing his hala self, we we the cars as well as some other important symbolism in the form of the chromer and butterfly I saw so we can guess they're more than just prop decorations.
Speaking of hala!hongjoong, something I couldn't help but notice is we only really see hala!hongjoong in our fever series. Nobody else. In the treasure series we pretty consistently saw hala!jongho which makes me wonder: are we going to get a series for each member and their hala self controlling a certain dimension? Are the dreams technically classified as dimensions? We got told the fever series is the prequel to treasure so we start with hala!hongjoong which makes the most sense considering he's the one that stole the chromer. But yeosang still had one. I'm not sure if he had the one that hala!hongjoong gave his normal self or if this yeosang is a new contender from elsewhere. We might potentially get confirmation from the diary version of the album whenever my copy decides to arrive.
Oh yea I'm still horrible for choreo that's Casper's expertise so I'll enlist his help trying to figure that out whenever he gets done trying to red string txt's storyline together.

Tips on how to make an Avengers movie in 11 steps
Tumblr media
Avengers: Endgame, the fourth instalment in Marvel's superhero crossover franchise, made an unprecedented $1.2bn on the field workplace final weekend. It is the most important three-day haul in film historical past; and a testomony to the power of Marvel's serialised method to story-telling. Administrators Joe and Anthony Russo mentioned they had been "definitely surprised" by the movie's "runaway success" - but additionally introduced they had been taking a break from the superhero style, after making two Captain America and two Avengers movies within the area of seven years. "One of the most important things we learned is that when you're shooting two of the largest movies ever made, and you're shooting them back to back... is don't shoot 'em back to back," Anthony informed BBC Information, confirming the duo's departure. Joss Whedon skilled related feelings after writing and directing the sequence' first two instalments. "Why on Earth would I make another Avengers movie? They're really hard," he mused on the DVD commentary for Age of Ultron. "It was ill advised. I see that now." However Marvel's Cinematic Universe will proceed - with new instalments of Spider-Man and Guardians of the Galaxy already confirmed; and a brand new configuration of The Avengers nearly a certainty. When you someway find yourself within the administrators' chair, how must you put together? Listed below are 11 key classes from the individuals who made the originals. This text doesn't include spoilers for Avengers: Endgame, however will focus on plot particulars from the previous movies.
1) Begin out on a TV present
All three administrators of The Avengers made their names in TV. Joss Whedon created Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Firefly; whereas the Russo brothers labored on cult comedies Neighborhood and Arrested Improvement. These experiences had been invaluable when it got here to wrangling a forged of greater than 20 characters, "because they are all ensemble shows," says Joe Russo. "Those were shows that had to be executed in 21 minutes, they had to be funny, and they had to have a plot. And sometimes, like in an episode of Community, you'd have 30 speaking parts - so that's an exercise that certainly trained you in trying to contain as many characters as we do in two hours." "We're drawn to multiple points of view and group dynamics, because we grew up in a very large Italian-American family," provides Anthony, "so we've always loved working with ensembles."
2) Know the characters inside-out
The enjoyment of the Avengers is seeing how these disparate characters, and the actors who play them, work together. "There is a natural competition when the leads from two different franchises get together and it plays right into the competition of two heroes getting together - so it is delightful," noticed Infinity Battle script-writer Chris Markus final yr. "A very compelling element of crossovers is who has primacy. They're all leaders, they're all used to leading their own worlds, and once you put them into the same room, who gets to call the shots? That is a notion we revisit several times." Nonetheless, it is a problem to offer 23 separate characters a definite voice within the confines of a three-hour movie. Fortunately, there's an outdated screenwriting tip that turns out to be useful: In case your characters are well-written, it is best to know the way every of then would react in the event that they by chance fall right into a swimming pool. "Thor from Infinity War would mess that pool up," says Anthony. "Whereas Rocket - he's not exceedingly self-deprecating, so I think I could see him gag and spit. He'd be a little irritated."
3) Take a number of rest room breaks
Scott Derrickson just lately tweeted how he "ran into Joe Russo outside the men's room," whereas he was enhancing the Physician Unusual movie in 2015. "He pitched me the basic story for both Infinity War and Endgame I told him that if he could make the first movie work, the second movie would be incredible." Which begs the query: How lengthy did Joe maintain his colleague ready for the john? "I think it was like a 10-minute pitch," he laughs. "However the funniest factor is that individuals are like, 'Do you guys get collectively at Marvel on a regular basis and have conferences in regards to the storylines?' "And the reply is, 'No, all of it occurs on the way in which to the lavatory'. That is the place everybody runs into each other and begins exchanging data." In different phrases, do not maintain it in.
4) Maintain the story easy
For the entire acclaim heaped on Infinity Battle, the plot could be boiled down to 3 phrases: "Thanos desires stones". "We've so many characters within the film that we knew if the plot was difficult, it will take too to elucidate and that might take away from the characters and the motion," mentioned screenwriter Chris Markus on the DVD commentary. Even the variety of Infinity Stones brought about a headache, mentioned co-writer Steve McFeely. "Had we invented the concept of Infinity Stones in a vacuum, I am certain we'd not have determined there have been six of them. Six MacGuffins is loads for one film." To maintain issues shifting, the Russos dictated that each scene "needed to do a couple of factor". So the opening sequence - by which Thanos crushes the Hulk, kills Thor's brother Loki and steals one of many Infinity Stones - conveys three plot factors in two minutes. "It establishes Hulk's journey - he is been defeated and would not notably wish to assist Banner over the course of the film," defined Anthony Russo. "It establishes a vengeance story for Thor by taking out his brother, and it establishes the plot for stone assortment."
5) The percentages ought to appear insurmountable
"I needed to make a film the place being a superhero wasn't a free go," mentioned Joss Whedon, about scripting the primary Avengers movie in 2012. "The place issues had been robust sufficient that you'd be as sturdy as you can probably be and nonetheless not be sufficient to take care of what was occurring. "The stakes," he added, "are at all times the identical. "The stakes are: You can die."
6) Acknowledge the ridiculous
When your heroes are up in opposition to a sentient robotic who's ripped a whole metropolis off the face of the planet, it pays to acknowledge that the whole lot's a bit far-fetched. And so, on the climax of Age of Ultron, Hawkeye takes inventory of the state of affairs and says: "We're combating a military of robots and I've a bow and arrow. None of this is sensible." "I discuss with that as 'inoculation,'" Whedon explained. "He says the factor we're all considering, and it performs."
7) Discuss to the animators
The Avengers movies are among the most effects-heavy films in historical past, with 4 main characters - Thanos, Hulk, Rocket and Groot - created by laptop animation. Making them plausible is a vital activity, so each Whedon and the Russos began working with artists earlier than the scripts had been written. "Thanos was troublesome," says Joe Russo. "We knew we had been sunk if Thanos wasn't photo-real, so we spent two years doing analysis and growth on Thanos and ensuring that he would work accurately." For his debut because the Hulk, actor Mark Ruffalo even wrote a letter to the consequences group, stressing that his motion-captured performances had been solely the primary stage of making the character. "We're all enjoying this half," he wrote. "I've taken it so far as I can and also you guys have to make use of what you'll be able to after which overlook about me and change into the Hulk." "It was extremely inspiring to the animators," recalled Whedon, who set aside a day to explain how the movie portrayed two different aspects of the green-skinned monster: "The one Bruce Banner turns into unwittingly and the one he decides to be". "What I discovered later was that almost all of them - the truth is all of them - had not been in a position to see the script, in order that they had been simply animating issues in a vacuum," he said. "So it was extremely productive."
8) At all times put the raccoon on a chair*
Have you ever ever seen that Rocket - the CGI raccoon performed by Bradley Cooper - is nearly at all times standing on a chair? "That is a terrific level," says Anthony. "Whenever you're coping with characters of radically totally different sizes, it presents a number of framing challenges. "You start to learn tricks in blocking to keep everyone in the same relative plane, so you can actually shoot them." (* or on a desk, or positioned within the foreground, or simply movie the whole lot in a large shot.)
9) Ban t-shirts
Finish of Youtube submit by RED Lion Film Shorts Once we first meet Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow in Avengers Assemble, she's tied to a chair, barefoot and in a vest high, apparently being interrogated by shadowy Russian forces. In fact, she breaks free in spectacular trend... however her outfit made it one of many hardest stunt scenes to choreograph. "Whenever you say 'she has no sleeves' to your stunt co-ordinator he cries man tears," Joss Whedon famous afterwards. "It's very difficult to do a lot of these things if you can't pad up the knees and elbows."
10) Embrace the darkness
Making these movies is "incredibly physically demanding," says Joe Russo, and there'll inevitably be darkish days. "When you start out, it's all perfect in your head," Whedon informed BBC Information in 2015, "and while you work with the actors, it will get higher. "Then sooner or later you've got been enhancing for thus lengthy you begin considering. 'Who am I? What's occurring?' and also you overlook why you ever confirmed up, and what you are making an attempt to say. And also you despair. It is a very bleak expertise.
11) Emotion > motion
Including character beats to motion sequences has been Joss Whedon's calling card since Buffy - and he pulls it off completely in Age Of Ultron's climactic battle, the place Hawkeye stops whaling on the unhealthy guys to debate dwelling enhancements. "You know what I need to do? The dining room," he tells Black Widow. "If I knock out that east wall, it'll make a nice work space... What do you think?" "That sequence is, for me, the reason I show up," Whedon mentioned within the commentary. "Where two people in the apocalypse are talking about re-doing the dining room, that says more about their relationship than anything else I could have done." The Infinity Battle group made an analogous choice. Their movie would not finish with a battle however the emotional fallout of Thanos's "snap" - scenes that left some viewers in tears. So what is going to they really feel after they stroll out of Endgame? "Catharsis," says Joe Russo. "We realise how impactful the Infinity War ending was," provides his brother. "We saw how difficult it was for many people and that's something that we really respect. So we were very committed to paying off that kind of a story." SA- A checkup
After Val moves to Rubicon City, Cirrus goes to check on him. His welcome is not warm whatsoever.
“The only good thing about Cross Airlines is that they have free Wi-Fi.” As Vincent left the plane, Aiden followed him. They walked into an airport, where many passengers were waiting.
“True that.” Aiden said. They stepped onto an escalator and traveled up a floor to the baggage claim.
“We’ll just hit the road once we grab our bag, and then drop in at RC central. We’ll be there in two hours if we’re lucky.”
“Right.” Aiden smiled at the tiles on the floor, which formed elaborate pictures. “Any news on how Val’s doing?”
“Perfectly well, according to school reports. He’s quite the troublemaker, I’ve heard. Nearly got into a couple of fights. Snaps at the teachers. He’s a handful. But he’s made a couple of friends.” The pair stopped in front of a baggage carousel. “One being the other boy that has been recruited into the Ducklings program.”
“Who, Adamant?”
“Yeah. They hit it off pretty well, actually.” Vincent lifted a plastic suitcase out of the baggage carousel.
“Nice.” Aiden pulled out his suitcase, which was slightly worn. “Come on, let’s go find the car.”
-------
“Where is he?” Miss T growled as she read the e-mail.
“Well, his flight just landed.” Layla took off her headphones. “As far as I can tell, nothing’s coming our way. Related to him, at least.”
“And how long is he staying?”
“He’s booked a hotel room. He should be popping in for only an hour. Also, he wants you to bring Amplify in.”
“I hope he isn’t going to do anything crazy.”
“Oh no, he’s just here to make sure Val’s adjusted.” Layla held her hand out. A series of rectangles appeared in front of her. “I assume he’s already looked at school reports, which don’t look too favorable.”
“Which means?”
“If we compare them to everything before the big move, there’s been no change whatsoever.”
“I still don’t understand why he chose a troublemaker like Valentin. I understand he was targeted by Angel, but that boy has suffered trauma at his hands, and that is no reason-”
“Perhaps not. Anyway, I’m heading down to lunch. Would you like to join us?”
“Can you bring me the usual? I’ll be busy preparing for Cirrus’s visit.”
“Extra tomatoes and mustard? Sure!” Layla scrambled out of Miss T’s office, leaving her alone.
-----------
“So? How was the welcome?” At a fast food restaurant, Aiden chomped down on a burger.
“Interesting.” came the reply. “The architecture’s quite nice, but I was almost used as target practice for some lady throwing razor blades. As well as nearly burnt by a burst of flame. And then stabbed in the shoulder by a needle from some self-identified doctor. Followed by being attacked by a deranged lady in a cat costume. She called herself Calico and dragged me to the branch head’s office.”
“Rough day.”
“Yes, well, it’s not over. I’m still waiting on Amplify. Like I said, I’m going to need your help with him.”
“No prob, Vince.”
“Finish up that Ranch’s taquito with extra jalepenos and get over here. Please.”
“No problem, boss.”
-------------
As soon as Aiden walked through the door, he was greeted with curious stares and familiar faces. A woman in a magician outfit played with a deck of cards while staring at him. Aiden quickly moved on, but suddenly bumped into someone.
“Sorry.” Aiden recognized the face. It was the woman he noticed at the branch meeting six months ago. He stuck his hand out and introduced himself. “Aiden... Aiden Keri. I’m, um... ”
“Phoenix. I know.” The woman shook his hand. “You seem worried. Are you all right, Aiden?”
“I’m fine.”
“Are you waiting on someone?”
“Yeah, my friend... ”
“Oh. Vince, right?”
“Yeah, I think he’s in a meeting... ”
“No problem. I’ll take you to him.”
Aiden followed the woman to a room marked “TRAINING FACILITY #3″. The center was huge, he thought. He also wondered who the woman leading him around was. All he remembered was that she was an English teacher who played softball once. She looked attractive to him- a smooth, mature, and serious face framed with black and blue hair, and a pair of well-manicured hands that meant business. The rest was hidden behind a pair of yoga pants and a T-shirt.
“Um, who are you?” he asked.
“Layla Hauja. Otherwise known as Searchlight.” The woman did not turn around.
“What do you do?”
“I am the branch head’s right hand. I organize and communicate with the other agents here. Occasionally I also work in the field, but I am not well-known by the populace. Frankly, I like it that way.” She laughed. “I’m really more of an office worker than a superhero.”
“All... right.” Aiden blushed. “I, uh, noticed you at the, um, director’s meeting last year. In, uh, Detroit, was it?”
“Where Vince proposed the Ducklings program?”
“Yeah.”
“I remember that meeting.” The woman pointed to the door. “Vince is waiting in there. He asked you to be careful and not to argue with any of them. One’s got quite a sharp tongue, I recall.”
“All right.”
Inside, Vince watched the three Ducklings perform a strange stunt- Amplify sitting on Thunder Witch’s shoulders, who was in turn sitting on Adamant’s shoulders.
“You guys are children.”Kat growled, struggling to maintain her balance on Jake’s shoulders while balancing Val on hers.
“Hey, this is fun.” Val laughed. “We just need a trench coat and we can save money at the movies.”
“How’d that happen?” Aiden asked.
Vince explained. “While you were waiting, Booster-”
“It’s Val to you, old fart!” Val shouted.
“Sorry, Val, decided to hop on Jake’s shoulders. Their rationale being that Val was weightless and Jake had super strength. I told them that in such a scenario, they would only need one of their powers. So they brought Kat in.”
“Oh. So, what did you need?”
“I want you to help me monitor them. Tell me what you notice. I’ll get a training bot out for them.”
As he spoke, a hole opened in the wall and
“All right... ” He turned to the kids. “Who’s first? Val? Jake?”
Kat cracked her knuckles and stepped forward.
“Kat. All right.”
Kat smiled. She grabbed the ends of her gloves and tugged. They exploded into a mass of cloth, transforming Kat into a superhero wearing a short black and golden cape with a hood and golden mask.
“Give it all you’ve got.” Vince reminded.
Kat made no motion of acknowledgement. She jumped forward, her hand crackling with electricity. The robot dodged her first attack and aimed a punch at Kat. Kat hopped on her hands and launched into an electric spin.
“Okay. Now Val, I want you to join in. Reminder that the robot is stronger than you.”
Val nodded and threw himself into the fight. He tugged on his scarf. It exploded into a gray suit and mask. He twirled a trident in his arms. He jumped high into the air and landed a forceful kick on the robot, knocking it back. Kat’s next kick landed on the ground. She glared at Val before continuing to fight.
“Turning up the difficulty level.” Vincent said. “Jake, you’re in.”
“Now?”
“Yes, now!”
Jake jumped into the middle of the fight. Val noticed and repositioned his feet. Jake held his hands out and caught Val’s feet. He launched him back at the robot. Val jabbed the head of the robot as he flew into its head. The robot fell over. Kat growled and sunk her fist into the robot’s circuits. One zap, and it was toast.
“There. We took it down.” she said. “What’s next?”
“Your analysis is complete.” Vince said. “Aiden, tell me what you picked up.”
“Val and Jake have very good sync. Without even uttering a word, you managed to land the final blow on the bot together.”
“Thank you, sir.” Jake beamed.
“Kat was out of touch with both of you, however.” he said. “While I have no doubt Kat could have taken the bot on her own, she was unable to compromise with you. When it’s a singular target like this, all allies need to focus their fire- and be able to work with their teammates.”
“That’s their thing.” Kat pointed to the boys. “Not mine.”
“Therein lies the problem.” Vince said. “Someday, all three of you might face a foe as powerful and intelligent as Angel. You will not win alone against him, Kat. Especially since your powers are best only at short range.”
“So are his!” Kat pointed to Val.
“We’re training all of you how to shoot in the coming weeks.” Vince continued. “Until then, I want you three to keep practicing. And Kat, if you could spend some time with them to learn how to compromise your skills and moments of attack, it would be great.”
Kat rolled her eyes.
------
“Do you want to be my first test subject?”
A pair of red glowing eyes floated above the young woman’s body.
“Stay away from me, you monster!” The woman pushed against the approaching man.
“That tickles!” The man laughed as the woman pushed his face away, then pinned her hands down.
“Monster!”
“This won’t hurt a bit, my dear.”
A brighter flash of red light.
“The Dark Angel. Aren’t his wings beautiful?” The man’s voice grew soft and sultry.
“Yes... ” the woman whispered back.
“Perhaps you would like to be embraced by them?”
“Of course... ” The woman moved into Angel’s arms. She sighed with pleasure as his wings curled around her.
“You are such a lovely woman.” Angel whispered. “Would you do something for me?”
“Anything... ”
“Feed my power. Take this.” Angel worked a knife into her hands. “Sink it deep into your chest. Let the blood spill all over me.”
“Of course... ”
Angel watched as the woman shoved the knife into her chest. Blood splattered all over their clothes. She pulled the knife out and grabbed him before dying in his arms.
“Good night, my dear.” Angel laid the woman on the ground and folded up her dress and arms. “There we go. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.”
