Ok rl quick some thoughts on things - - The 'races' aren't called Maidens. Rather, the Divinitian institutions are! So the Ritual, Village, and Temple Maidens are internal phrases for the overall 'group', which are the Dawn Maidens! This is due to Divinice strongly believing that all of these demigods are female, without exception (it's. A thing) - Stolisia doesn't ascribe to the same idea, and so doesn't call them Maidens. However, Divinice does, and Divinitian propaganda refers to them as Dusk Maidens and the Stolisia Military as the Warrior Maidens. This is what Seora knows them as, and sometimes people around the world will use the Dawn/dusk dichotomy for ease. - idk what the fuck the actual names of the 'races' are. Cool. Probably ties into Kysro and Ylais. I'll uh. I'll fuck around w it. - the Stolisian military bis substantially smaller than the Divinitian one. The only reasons they beat Divinice are magic and knowledge of terrain. Even removing terrain knowledge would likely cause stolisia to lose. Ie, if they invaded Divinice instead, they'd be fucked. Inna long term war, they would likely lose. Just sorta as a matter of course, yknow - the car that Esther n co use to 'kidnapp' Seora legally belongs to a nice family in Black River. The long ass story is that Esther, using her perfectly legal eastern accounts, sent this family the money to buy a new car. This meant they had three cars. The oldest one was then 'given' to the oldest son in the family, with the idea being that once he got his P plates, it'd be all his. In reality, the Stolisian military take and use it for border crossings. They also repaired it. Whenever anyone raises an eyebrow, the family just says they have 'a rich eastern friend'. Which is technically true! They've even taken the family on a holiday to the east to help sell the story. (It was. Very complicated and difficult to get fully approved. Esther took leave and used a lot of her own money to make the trip work. For any photos, Esther had one of her cousins stand in, so it'd look 'less weird'. Photos of Esther with the family do exist, but they're hidden away. As far as the Divinitian govt is concerned, any pics of Esther are of someone other than the eastern friend') - the cover story behind their use of the car in the kidnapping is that they stole it. They made sure the two parents were out and that the two kids were as far away from Black River as possible. They made sure the parents knew, in rough terms, what was happening. If either if them got confused, they were free to call Esther (under the guise of telling their Eastern friend what had happened) and get clarification (tho they probably shouldn't.) The kids weren't told out of concern they'd tell. Noone did, tjo. The entire village is really indebted to the Stolisian military in a LOT of ways, so none of them dared spill the beans about knowing the car wasn't 'stolen'. - completely unrelated BUT. Ice mages, right. Why are they always so frigid and unmoving and shit. That's. That's not how ice does?? In warmer places in melts and cracks, and even in cold places it shifts under it's weight. It's temporary, it's fragile. I find it more interesting if the ice mage is fluid. All the points of ice, yknow. The dream is basically a beautiful mage who absolutely CANMOT wake in the morning and who gets cranky really easy, but is otherwise chill and goes with the flow. I'm into that. I might find a use for that sort of ice mage (as opposed to the cold unfeeling asshole. Ice feels, dammit) Uh that's all?? More than I thought. Whoopies!!!
