Gaho Zen Relationship Headcanons

Confession -

He loves someone who is independent since he’s quite a workaholic and prioritises AKYR's well-being and Club Candy over many things.

When he gets a crush, he becomes unnaturally awkward.

Hokusai and Iori could pick up Zen’s wandering mind right away. He’s always on top of things so to see him spacing out or worrying about whether he’s presentable or not is… odd.

Satsuki starts noticing things were off during their training sessions when Zen is less loud and would look off into the distance more often. (He almost dropped weights on Satsuki. He was that out of it.)

Iori quietly confronts him about it right after a meeting. He busted out LAUGHING when Zen timidly talked about his crush. Imagine a tall man who could rival hulk shyly admits he has a crush (GAP MOEEEEEE-)

Of course, it takes a while before he can even talk to you without being clumsy. He’s tripping over his words, tripping over his shoes, tripping over invisible things- Satsuki and Reo can barely watch the man (they're howling in laughter) as Hokusai smiles in pity at his older brother.

After a while, he’s more comfortable in your presence (although he occasionally jumps if you get too close to him or ask him about his romantic life *cough* non-existent til he met you *cough*)

One day, he decided to man up and ask you out!

He’s stuttering and you can visibly see his cheeks heat up but honestly, his shy personality which contrasts with his physical beauty was endearing (GAP MOOOOOOOOOE-)

After you say yes, his jaw hangs open from shock. It’s kind of funny, this man is like a walking clown without even realising it.

But the bright smile that follows after makes you feel sure you made the right decision.

Beginning -

He’d be a bit awkward, like a single dad, because he has trouble balancing time for work and taking care of the kids.

Satsuki, Reo and Hokusai always reassures him they’re old enough to make their own food and can walk to school by themself but it still makes him worry.

He’s been taking care of the house and the Club Candy for so long, he doesn’t really know what to do other than that.

It’s only when you start taking care of the AKYR house more where it suddenly feels like Zen’s the dad and you’re their other parent while Iori’s out drinking with the clients.

Everyone loves you around the house and Zen receiving help gives him more free time to spend with you.

It might take a while before Zen gets used to sudden romantic gestures but with you leading his hand, there’s nothing you both can’t do.

Getting to Know More About One Another -

He’s always one to prioritise others before himself.

He doesn’t like opening up about the past, he’s content with the present and would love for it to stay that way.

However, occasionally, he’d remember his past and stumble a bit. Though with you, the one who lights up his dark past, clears his path and helps him walk forward.

He’s an amazing listener, and although he’s flamboyant with his advice, his heart is genuine.

It’s his passion to help others, and with you constantly helping, he’s always willing to lend an ear.

Saying “I Love You” -

The occasion was nothing special, it was another one of your dates with Zen.

As you laugh at something in particular, you couldn't hear his response as he was silent.

You look up to see him looking at you with heart-filled eyes, reaching up to hold your face.

He’s strangely quiet as he looks at you with adoration, a small smile on his lips.

“I love you”

It was quiet and sentimental. Every word was said with a clear head.

Alas, this emotional man started crying because he adored you so, so much.

It was natural for him to say it. He truly, genuinely, loves you.
