When I was 14 years old, I went to a Junior Dodger's summer camp event with my sister, her friend and her two younger siblings, there I met Fernando Valenzuela — I'll never forget that moment standing on the field and him signing a baseball for me, hugging me, telling me "Never give up, mija. Remember to follow your dreams, si se puede" after I told him I was a really big fan and thanking him for being my hero. I'll never be able to forget the scent of his cologne smelling so wonderful and him being incredibly warm, loving, inspiring and a generous soul. He also said he wanted us to meet some of his friends and took us into the dugout where we met Manny Mota and A.J. Ellis, all three men were wonderful and signed that baseball. My sister and I fangirl(ed) uncontrollably for hours, for days and still to this day.

Fernando, thank you for such a wonderful memory, being the reason why my dad and I bonded so well, for being a God, a hero and a role model to kids and people like me and for all that you did in your life, we're very grateful.

GIF-set is, by my estimation, chock full of stolen content (including five GIFs created by me and used without my consent), so I’d be most obliged if you not engage with it in any way. Obviously *in NO circumstances is harassment to be tolerated*, so please show your condemnation of the theft of creative works simply by not engaging with OP’s post:

If you want to reblog some TLADILA content, there’s plenty of great (original) creations on Tumblr! Please go reblog any of them! But please don’t discourage creators by promoting (reblogging or liking) posts stealing their work (which is what reposting, as opposed to reblogging, is)! It does actually take some time to put these things together. (Just for fun, I made a post of what my stolen GIFs would look like without their edits, which you can check out here, if you like.)

The holes go all the way through, the sides of the book are red, and on some pages the text is colored red just under the holes !

I was so happy when I found it in a little french bookshop specialized in queer texts ❤️
