Vote for who you please honestly i'd be lying if I said I don't think ineffable husbands deserves the win or that i'd be mad if they won. However; I simply cannot let this slander stand. Was Miles absent during Phoenix's seven years of disbarment? No, absolutely not. Evidence to the contrary: In Apollo Justice Phoenix explains that he went to Europe many times during those seven years to help Miles research legal systems. Given Phoenix's financial state it's most likely that Miles paid for these trips himself or at the very least hosted Phoenix and possibly Trucy during those times.

In Turnabout For Tomorrow, it's explained that Miles and Phoenix went to one of Trucy's magic show's together

Phoenix doesn't seem to be shocked to see him at all (and Miles is simply embarrassed to have been caught) so I doubt this was the first visit either.

Here Phoenix is in the same outfit as the one he has in the comic with Trucy who is around 9, and he references playing the piano, proving that this interaction happened during the 7yr gap.

It's important to note that we have very little information as to what was going on during the 7 year gap, even when it comes to Phoenix himself. So any lack of information in regards to Miles does not imply his absence. Especially since all the evidence we do have suggests the opposite.
