Safety incident that occurred during Yibo's performance at 2025 Hunan New Year's Eve Gala /241231/

To briefly summarize the situation: during Yibo's performance one of the hooks that was attached to the wires Yibo was hanging from was unfastened/open which created a very dangerous situation that could have endangered Yibo's health or even life.

Clip hooks of this type are designed in such a way that they should snap shut automatically, and then a safety screw is tightened. The hooks that Yibo used during the rehearsal look solid and were properly mounted, but the one on the performance was unsecured, probably damaged. The staff person from hunan tv staff who was mounting the ropes on Yibo neglected his duties and did not check the correctness of the hook fastening.

As a result, Yibo was hoisted approximately 20 metres high with only one correctly attached hook, which caused him problems with balancing in the air and could have exposed him to a dangerous fall.
