Look. We know Johnny doesn't make a lot of sense most of the time and he's got a weird obsession with that stripper -it gets on our nerves too- but the dude has had a shit show of a life. Just the absolute worst. Look it up if you want. It would drive anyone crazy. Just bare with us and him. We'll do what we can to fill you in when he goes off the rails. -Ed

I love how the editors get sick of Johnny's shit every once in a while. Like Zampanò will say something and Johnny will cut in to basically say

"Yeah I have no idea what he's talking about and I'm not going to try to figure it out. Anyway, let me wax poetically about this girl I hooked up with..."

And then the editors show up after two or three pages of Johnny rambling and are like. "This is what Zampanò was referring to and here's the translation. John is just being a dick. Sorry about that. -Ed"

¹This is a humourous riff on the lyrics to the song "Our House" by the English ska-pop band, Madness. "Our House" is considered a working class anthem, which contrasts the bourgeoisie lifestyle of the Navidson family.²

²Alright, while the music stuff is factually correct it's still a huge stretch to connect the song and the family this way. Sometimes a corny joke is just a corny joke.
