SA BUILDING A NEW RELIGION, NEW ISLAM, AN INNOVATION (BID’AH), WHICH IS FORBIDDEN ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC LAW...
WHEN KUFR (POLYTHEISM) RISES FROM THE HOME OF THE KA’BAH, WHERE DO BOTH ISLAM AND MUSLIMS GO?
Here some reforms implemented by western educated and trained Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.of Saudi Arabia, that will likely have the biggest impact on the conservative kingdom.
1. Women's driving ban lifted
Saudi Arabia shocked many in the kingdom late September when it was announced a long-standing and controversial ban on women driving in the Saudi Arabia would be lifted in 2018.
2. Saudi's first ever Comic Con
Saudi Arabia's first "Comic Con" event - a US-based pop culture movement - was held in February. The three day festival of anime, pop art, video gaming and film-related events was the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia.
3. Stadiums open to Saudi women
In another landmark move, Saudi Arabia announced its decision to allow women to enter sports stadiums for the first time from next year.
The ultra-conservative kingdom - which has some of the world's tightest restrictions on women - has long barred women from sports arenas by strict rules on segregation.
4. Entertainment city planned
Riyadh announced plans to build an 'entertainment city' outside the capital, Riyadh. The 334 sq km park will include a safari, sports facilities, theme park and other activities.
Saudi Arabia also announced it will build a series of theme parks in the Kingdom with US-based developer Six Flags involved in the projects.
5. Music concerts allowed
A series of concerts by international and Arab artists were hosted in Saudi Arabia in 2017 including the first exclusively female music concert with a performance from Lebanese singer Hiba Tawaji.
Saudis spent billions of dollars annually to see movies, attend concerts and visit amusement parks in neighbouring tourist hubs of Bahrain and Dubai.
6. Cinema ban lifted
For the first time in 35 years, cinemas in Saudi Arabia opened their doors to the public.
7. Tourist Visas
With promises of new entertainment facilities, theme parks, cinemas, concerts and water parks, and the promotion of Saudi Arabia's historical sites, all that was missing was the ever-elusive tourist visa. The government approved a tourist visa program in October.
8. Mixed-gender national day celebrations
The kingdom's national day in September saw women allowed to enter the Riyadh's main stadium to join in with celebrations for the first time.
The presence of women at the King Fahd Stadium marked a departure from previous celebrations in the Gulf kingdom.
Women were allowed to enter the stadium, a previously male-only venue used mostly for football matches. Women and their families were seated separately from single men but it allowed them to watch a musical show and a play on Saudi history.
9. Yoga
Fitness enthusiasts in Saudi Arabia can rejoice - yoga is officially back on the program.
The Saudi ministry of trade and industry has officially approved the teaching of yoga and listed it under their sports activities.
Those wishing to practice or teach yoga can now collect a license from the ministry. Fun times for yogis.
10. Saudi Arabia abolishes flogging
Saudi Arabia has abolished flogging as a punishment, the state human rights commission said Saturday, hailing a “major step forward” in the reform program.
Court-ordered floggings in Saudi Arabia — sometimes extending to hundreds of lashes — have long drawn condemnation from human rights groups.

Trump To Attend Notre Dame Cathedral Reopening In Paris After Its Devastating 2019 Fire

This weekend, 47th President-elect Donald Trump will travel abroad for the first time since the election to attend the reopening celebration of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.
After more than five years of reconstruction following a devastating fire in 2019 that almost destroyed the towering Paris landmark, the cathedral is scheduled to reopen on Saturday. About 50 heads of state and government are anticipated to attend the high-security events on Saturday and Sunday.
“It is an honor to announce that I will be traveling to Paris, France, on Saturday to attend the re-opening of the Magnificent and Historic Notre Dame Cathedral, which has been fully restored after a devastating fire five years ago,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “President Emmanuel Macron has done a wonderful job ensuring that Notre Dame has been restored to its full level of glory, and even more so. It will be a very special day for all!”
A huge fire that overtook Paris’ Notre Dame in 2019 while Trump was president caused its spire to collapse and almost destroyed what is considered to be one of the greatest architectural monuments in the world, renowned for its captivating stained glass.
So horrible to watch the massive fire at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. Perhaps flying water tankers could be used to put it out. Must act quickly!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 15, 2019
Despite Trump and the French president having a complicated past, Emmanuel Macon still congratulated Trump on his 2024 presidential election win on November 6th.
“Congratulations, President @realDonaldTrump,” Macron posted on X on November 6th. “Ready to work together as we did for four years. With your convictions and mine. With respect and ambition. For more peace and prosperity.”
Macron previously criticized Trump for questioning the need for NATO and “raising doubts about America’s commitment to the mutual-defense pact,” AP reported.
“Nobody needs NATO more than France… the U.S. benefits the least,” Trump said in 2019.
Starting on Saturday, there will be a lavish, multi-day celebration to mark Notre Dame’s reopening. According to the cathedral’s website, Paris Archbishop Laurent Ulrich will lead a reopening liturgy that afternoon and he will allow Notre Dame’s locked doors to reopen with help from his staff.
The booming grand organ of Notre Dame will also be symbolically reactivated by the archbishop. The massive instrument was covered in poisonous dust from the fire that melted the lead roofing of the church. Its 8,000 pipes have undergone meticulous disassembly, cleaning, and adjustment.
Macron will be present and will reportedly “speak to the VIP guests.”
The show’s broadcaster, France Télévisions, has announced that following the service, a concert will be held on Saturday evening featuring performances by opera singers Pretty Yende from South Africa and Julie Fuchs from France, Chinese pianist Lang Lang, cellist Yo-Yo Ma from Paris, singer Angelique Kidjo from Benin, Lebanese singer Hiba Tawaji, among others.
The new altar’s consecration and inaugural Mass will be presided over by the Paris archbishop on Sunday morning.
Priests from all 106 parishes in the Paris diocese will participate in the celebration, as will over 170 bishops from France and other nations. After the Mass, there will be a “fraternal buffet” for those in need.
During the activities, tourists will not be allowed to enter the Ile de la Cité, where the cathedral is located in the center of the Seine. There will be a 40,000-seat public viewing facility erected along the southern bank of the Seine.

Now I know, who chooses.
Written and drawn in the faraway sky.
Now I know, I’m not that girl,
Now that I’m grown and have become the only one to choose
Now I know, who chooses.
Drawn and written in the faraway sky.
Now I know, I’m not that girl anymore, now that I’m grown and have become the only one to choose..
You can’t lock the bird in a cage made of metal, the sky is filled with fields of clouds to take her away.
You can’t lock the bird in a cage made of metal, the sky is filled with fields of clouds to take her away.
I want to fly, no one can take away my wings.
The sound of the songbird , sing a dream in my songs.
No one can erase me, the power within me will protect me.
You’re my biggest faith, my new promise and love.
I want to fly, no one can take away my wings.
The sound of the songbird , sing a dream in my songs.
No one can erase me, the power within me will protect me.
You’re my biggest faith, my new promise and love.
Even if they make me lost, I’ll walk the path.
With eyes and hands that will gravitate you towards the future.
If they try me, or torture me..
Locking my freedom with their power, stealing it.. that won’t stop me from following my own path.
Now I know, who chooses.
Written and drawn in the faraway sky.
Now I know, I’m not that girl anymore, now that I’m grown and have become the only one to choose…
I won’t stop following my own path.

Been listening to a playlist of Julia Boutros (with some Hiba Tawaji) for a couple of hours now and gods, ya rab, her voice makes me FEEL. Like, all the feels. I only understand half the lyrics and only when I really focus, because Lebanese Arabic is not my strongest Arabic dialect (still, better than Egyptian), but even without the meaning, I get it. I get it.
And maybe it's because I've finally taken a decision, I have finally decided that going home to stay with my father up there in our mountains, for as long as it takes me to start feeling like myself again, to stop feeling like I'm constantly breaking at the seams, is not an admission of weakness but rather an acceptance of the healing and the step back I need to take for my own sake, but these past few months, hearing Arabic (and Tamazight) always leaves my heart feeling extra raw.
And when it's Arabic in music, with extremely gorgeous voices like Julia Boutros, Dana Salah, Amal Murkus, Elyanna, Shireen, Samira Said... Music truly is magic.
#rapha rambles#i want to go home#please let me just go home before i actually break#i'm giving myself until july and then i'll just grab all my stuff and go home#i'm tired i'm really tired i'm dragging myself around like i'm my own corpse i can't go on like this#don't mind the ramblings just go listen to the music alright#SoundCloud
