Okay so the 'borderlands cinematic universe is different from the game universe because they're different mediums'. And yet I remember the comics from years ago that, yes, include Lilith getting her powers from an old woman in robes and Asha the Siren with her animal powers and more Tannis backstory and Roland flashbacks in the Crimson Lance, all of which were not in the games, but somehow the comics keep the main story of BL1- a video game about 4 Vault Hunters finding a Key for a Vault on Pandora with help from a scientist named Tannis- intact without changing important story pieces and destroying that description so that one is now a thief and two are MIA. Weird how keeping a storyline the same between two different kinds of media miraculously works with a comic, yet somehow couldn't be done with a 2 hour movie and a much higher budget. Right. Riiiight. Gotcha.
#Bad excuse#Notice how the changes in the comics were relatively small#The biggest being Asha and maybe the old woman#And yet the main story is pretty damn accurate#Tannis and the Vault focuses more on Tannis but it is still enjoyable to read#Hey remember brick and mordecai? Yeah they're in the comics.#Krieg and Tina aren't because they're not in BL1 whoa big surprise there not ruining a characters entire timeline and story for fan service#It's been a hot minute since I read the comics so I am sorry if I misremembered anything#Am I salty? Yes. Without a doubt yes#borderlands#cruddy rambles#How the hell couldn't they even keep the most basic description the same. Thieves??? The fuc???#Pls tho excuse my salt it's 6am and I've been laying here frothing over this#This is not borderlands this is a `slot-in your IP` script snatched up by people who wanted a quick buck#I wanted to hold off judgment but jfc that tweet by randy really got under my skin#Thief Lilith. Ugh no gtfo. Krieg and Tina shouldn't even BE here
