Minoan Dresses!

So I finished these just last night, and I swear that posting it right after reblogging one of @ironlily-art's Minoan lady designs is purely a coincidence. I've actually been trying to figure out a Minoan dress design on Hero Forge for a couple years now by overlapping two models, one with larger breasts, so they'll clip through the other model's shirt. (I've done it a couple times for lingerie pinup designs.) But I could never find a shirt piece that looked or fit right, nor one that I could effectively kitbash into looking right.

Recently, though, Hero Forge released a frontless top called the Ice Warrior's Undershirt that, despite lacking sleeves, actually works for a Minoan dress! Happily, this also allowed me to split my models back up and design dresses and hairstyles for each of them.

Yuri manwha will be like 'hee hee this delinquent young celebrity has invaded this lonesome 30 year old's home, will her heart be next??' and I will be basically committed to the bit and along for the ride but then it'll be like 'oh no what's this?? The thirty year old's senior from school whom was her first love is back! She has crows feet, an elegant masculine silouette and she wants to woo her and run away together! So I've done it again.

My obsession with this damn comic has completely taken over. So here's my favourite innocent, little, evil creature.

Little sad Hero Forge doesn't yet have broken, almost featherless wings like Mother Spore in the comic. I've been wanting that kind of broken wings for a while. But oh well, this'll do!

All in all, I'm so happy with how this turned out. All the small, detailed tweaking really paid off.

Notes: - First of all, wow it's been a while since I've posted any Hero Forge models but I definitely have a few older ones that I need to post :) - I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, thank goodness that the cold shoulder top exists on Hero Forge cause that's the only good sleeveless option that I could find - I have 4 decal layers just for the shadow under the face lol - I wishhh I could've added more bows, but sadly that's not a side gear option (there is one on his back though) - Fuzzy fey ears as head wingies ftw

Oh and also kitbashing is finally out!! I don't have Hero Forge Pro, so sadly I can't use it, but I'm excited for all of the folk over on r/heroforgeminis who can! :D

I tend to use heroforge for character design, so here I am with a map and a dream. In setting out to create this, I was really split on this idea or one that I called "the sisterhood", which would have a bit about shared bonds and struggles and the fact that I've got some type of DID, but in the end this one was simpler (and Aaliyah didn't care about this little project) so it's what I went with.

I "play" hero forge a lot and love trying new things. I found a pose made by AliceTheChalice and immediately knew which characters I wanted to create.

So here's my exhausted brain's best shot at Hotguy and Cuteguy from the (insanely good) comic Double Hearted by @kitsuneisi and @xmaruu11!

(hotguy's outfit was so damn hard to try replicate. Hero forge only has so many items, I had to get creative haha)
