What’s Aedes' sleep schedule like?

Aedes is nocturnal by nature- It's easiest to prey on humans among other things in the dark/while they're sleeping. Sunlight tends to make him feel open and exposed, where as darkness acts almost as a security blanket for him. Though his sleeping habits are notably impacted by the presence of June...

What does June absolutely need to have to fall asleep?

As hinted at in the first chapter of Bite Me, June sleeps with an open window- she needs a room cold and preferably having fresh air.

Does Sal have any hobbies?

ABSOLUTELY - That lil gremlin is always looking for new things to do/try. He loves working with his hands, crafting tools, wood working, even sewing (specifically accessories for his 8 legged ladies). A lot of his hobbies are born out of necessity for his life style (foraging, climbing, hunting, etc..) but if we're talking specifically for fun/to pass time he loves to take things apart. Lil man loves to figure out how things work and will disassemble and attempt to reassemble things he's interested in. Do not leave him unattended with valuables.

What’s Betty's favorite food?

Betty is SPOILED! She particularly likes crickets as they're more fun to hunt, but taste wise she has a bit of a sweet tooth fang and and Sal absolutely spoils her with strawberries from time to time. You know those videos of pet owners putting together those very extra meals for their pets? That is 100% Sal with Betty. He insists she prefers Rosey Maple Moths, and will pair it with a nectar source to make it "extra special/pretty" for his precious girl. He's even taken to cooking isopods/potato bugs for her as an occasional treat.

What’s something dumb Mark's embarrassed about?

Ironically enough- his height. Mark is around 5ft3 is fairly self conscious about it.

What gestures does Bram really appreciate? How do you get on their good side?

Value wise Bram deeply respects courage, specifically being able to make sacrifices for others. He's not fond of people pleasing niceties and much prefers direct and blunt communication.

Tangible gestures?

He likes food.

Feed him and it goes straight to his heart (Homeboy craves to be nurtured).

How well can Dawn bake?

Dawn is quite the baker, and cook in general. She's close with a few Mennonites (who also happen to run a local bakery) and learned a lot of her baking techniques though them. She doesn't bake sweets too often, usually making them for Holidays/special occasions, though she does make her own bread!

What’s something Tamius will never understand?

Women

Tamius doesn't see the appeal of sports, more specifically high intensity/contact sports. He understands the joys of competition, as well as being physically active, and being able to defend oneself is important- yet the thought of doing it for some self imposed sense of duty? Fun? Not out of preparation/ self preservation, but to put your body through undue strain and harm for what? the amusement of others? Baffling.

Rose is a plant hoarder. Her entire home is just filled with greenery (Which Tamius quite appreciated in terms of quick/easy hiding spots).

Follow up to my questioning redesigning post

I don't think I'm gonna redesign most of them but there's a couple I think need a bit of something aus being the main one I like his design but I don't think it really gets the point across properly

He was supposed to look like both a male and female Chinese moon moth which is why they have the pink and yellow body but the green wings but I don't think it really worked how I was hoping it was because everyone on discord just thinks he's a rosey maple crossed with a lunar moth so I think making it bilateral gynandromorphism would probably make more sense

Also I just think the cloths are ugly

They aren't flamboyant enough he needs to be flashy

So I guess expext an aus redesign soon and maybe one for lucy I don't like how young he looks

Okay! I have elaborated on some of my thoughts but not all of em so heres a long post of all my deranged nonsense ideas. These are mainly species headcanons but if i get too insaine i might elaborate a bit too far on my derangity

• Anathra: Android! He was made a bit too intelligent so they had to make him the visor so he couldn’t see past the veil of this reality and into the one beyond. Avid probably couldn’t clone him as he has no genetic material but Avid could reprogram him if he wanted, and I think thats scarier. Anathra’s weird ice and snow stuff thats been going on is really weird because his manual says that being this cold is supposed to damage his wires, joints, and fluid measures, but it hasn’t, so who knows whats up with that! Everytume he breaths it comes out like it would if you were breathing in cold air. Also a somewhat related fact: I think skulk could probably damage his outer and inner workings. It could make stuff *really* bad for him.

• Acorn: Acorn is a mink hybrid in a fox mask!!! Starts out with her summer fur but its very quickly turned to her winter coat, and it probably won’t change back. Whenever she picks up a glass of water to take a drink it gets a little frosty? She might be growing antlers um! Thats not supposed to happen?! Shes a bit scared of whatevers happing to her.

• Trog & Clone Trog: Living geometry in the form of a person! They’re literally triangles. As everyone else in the sbkfandom says, triangle pupils for them! They also have a cybernetic arm. However, the fact that they have a physical person body was all Avid needed to clone them! Clone Trog is having a certified bad time due to feeling too human but being unable to fully process what it is that their missing :(. I think if Clone Trog ever figures out how to manifest their geometry though, that they’ll be circles! Clone Trog (Dr.Tube as I like to call them) deserves the world and i love them sm. i do still miss Trog though.

• Ruby & Clone Ruby: Ruby is a mimic, but tends to mimic things they either like or things near to them. If he has nothing nearby to mimic, she’ll mimic an allay! Clone Ruby is not a mimic at all. Avid only thought of Ruby’s general species and not of that, so he tried to make Clone Ruby an Allay, but erm messed up a little. So now xeir a Vex. I think that if Clone Ruby ever gets tired of the expectations that people have for them, they’ll cut xier hair and maybe dye it too (possibly pink?). I just. Cloneby specifically makes me so distraught and i just think that they should get to be transgender squared and also that they should get to litterally shatter everyones ability to look at them and think thats Ruby because i think Cloneby deserves to be able to be happy with themselves and be their own person.

• Vintage (thats you!): Fae! Probably Seelie court, allied with any and all of the spring Fae as well (spring is generally considered part of Seelie as well so. It works). The flowers on your head are Literally growing out of it, maybe on branches that make them look like they’re a headband? Obligatory unicorn horn comment, obligatory fluffy moth wings (rosey maple!) comment, and maybe you do have hooves I’m not quite sure. But you’re a Fae, and that means you’re good with contracts, words, and weaselling your (or other peoples) way out of contracts, which is part of why you became a lawyer anyway (Faefolk lawyer gang handshake).

• Kittrix: Warden hybrid? Got the beeg ole horns and under her jacket you can see the souls glowing! Could also be an Unseelie Fae pretending to be a Warden Hybrid but whomst knows. Her elytra is handpainted to go with her warden bits (kinda skulky vibes there) , and its got a wooden frame but she’s treated it so it looks like bone!

• Milkman & Clone Milkman: Guy that seems too normal, somethings GOTTA be up with him. Could be a shapeshifter, could really just have that many costume changes on hand and just be a normal guy, could be some kind of alien, who knows at this point. Clone Milkman is… Well he knows what he is but what does that really make him? A copy of someone hes not? His own guy? He’s.. not quite sure of it all. But he has a job to do. Deliver a package to a specified location. Protect the citizens of SBK! He has a job that must be completed. He has to fulfil his purpose. It’s the only thing that matters. (To the three of you who get what it is I’m referencing here: thank you <3)

• Marmalade: I think shes probably human? Shes simply a very powerful void witch I think. If anything she Started as a human and is slowly becoming something else? I don’t have that many headcanons for her because I feel the way she acts is very concise and speaks for itself to me in a way. I love when the marmalade when the marm when the yeaugj <3 . I have some ideas about her kingdom hearts au version but i will not elaborate on them rn hvwheheheh. Oh! Also her elytra is void themed.

•Tea: Fruit bat hybrid! Sleeps hanging upside down next to her minecraft bed because she can’t actually sleep in it. If you look away from her for a second she can and probably will eat a bug. Honestly shes probably done so while someone was looking. She doesnt actually need an elytra because of her bat wings so she just uses those instead!

• Doovid: Waow, this monkey can be so Literal Physical Embodiment Of The Void! Mans is always hungry, someone get him some snacks man. Normally i dont really talk about my gender hc’s for characters because I feel kinda weird about but his minecraft skin does look like hes wearing a binder and that means I can and will point at him and go “monkey transgender” which i kind of already have. Hgwhwhejek

• Fool: Human but somethings Wrong with him? Not human but the most convincing human facade? Everyone seems too focused to really process that hes not really human other than his gold plaiting and yellow eyes. His elytra is…. More golden Spines than an actual glider, and they seem to just slip out when no ones paying attention. No ones quite certain as to how he flies with them as for all anyone can tell, theres nothing there to catch the air at all.

• Leon: Penguin or penguin hybrid! Hes developing erm. More and more enderman traits though, thanks to eating soooooooo much chorus fruit. The rain burns him! So do his own tears. This guys going through it. For a water bird hybrid, to suddenly and gradually lose access to what is an essential part of your species probably sucks really bad D:

• jOsh !: Cyborg mans nods nods. I need to watch more of his episodes as well

• Mig: Despite all his rage hes just a Phantom in a cage. Phantom hybrid miiiiiig!!! Doesnt need elytra just uses his phantom wings lol. Silly guy beast with so many problems. Probably chews on some of the bamboo when no ones looking. Mans teeth are scary sharp

• Kale: space piiiiiiiig !!!!! Has to stop Mig from eating bamboo.

• Fixxit: …. Beetle hybrid? Looks like just a normal guy but he actually has beetle wings! Their the kind that fold into a shell nods nods. He doesn’t need an elytra so he just uses his natural wings!

• Avid: MONKEY BOOOOOY! When hes near to people hes close to his tail will sometimes flick near by them or brush past them, kinda like a cats but not really. Finds it very amusing to hang upside down in his base so that people can ask him what the weathers like up (or down because hes hanging) there.

• Viking: Catboy Wednesday? Catboy Wednesday. I do also think his elytra… well. He has one but he also… doesnt? He swears up and down that his elytra just looks like that but it really seems that he just.. has Phantom wings he can use sometimes. Huh.

• Elffe: He uh. Well, he used to be human! The mushroom spores had uh… Other plans, though, so now hes one of them! Still has the same personality as he did before even though his body is um. Kind of decaying and being piloted fully by the mushroom roots. Except hes the mushroom roots now, so its still technically him. A mushroom is growing out of his left eye socket! He would say ow or ew but he cant actually really feel his senses that well anymore. His elytra is purple mycelium tendrils.

• Artemis: …. Mooshrom? She has to be a mooshroom, right? She has bovine features like the little cow ears, horns, hooves, and tail, but shes covered in mushrooms, so she has to be a mooshroom hybrid- right? But something about that just feels…. Off. Mooshrooms don’t look like their actively decaying despite their fungal growth, but one of Artemis’s ears kind of does. And no ones ever seen a nether mooshroom before. Tiny nether mushrooms are around her eyes, nether wart tendrils for an elytra. Those same tendrils spill out from under her shirt and are tightened around her arms and legs. She smiles- her teeth don’t look like that of an herbivores. “Don’t you want to join? Become like us?”

i need rosey canoon lore and info and discription ..... no reason just love giving you chances to info dump and smile :D

Rosy goes by any type of pronouns cause they don't really understand that sorta stuff. They believe that anyone should be allowed to go by anything that they want.

So, you can call them anything and they'd answer to it! For this, I will be calling them a he/him.

Rosy has a special ability, just like the other moth boys have, and he has a powder on his wings that if you breathe in, you will start to feel a strong attraction to him, and not want to hurt him. It lasts for an hour at most and a minute at least.

He is the shortest of the moth boys, and all characters, at only 3 foot tall! Something that he doesn't mind at all.

He's also the fluffiest and his fluff is very soft. He's very proud of it as well and it's one of the best ways to compliment him. He takes very good care of his fluff.

Because of how small he is, he isn't really that strong and he normally hides with the other moth boys or inside of things. His favorite to hide with is Leopard cause of the size difference and because Leopard is so strong/able to fight well.

He's unlike most Rosy Maple Moths cause he needs to be near people and needs attention, and he finds humans really interesting! He likes to watch them from where he hides in trees and the such.

He is the one that normally keeps watch while the others catch food, since Rosy isn't the fastest at flying or hunting.
