I can't be the only one here who thinks it's unfair to allow kittypets on this site. Posting pictures of themselves and their mates inside of the twolegplace, influencing the young kits on this site to abandon their Clans... surely everyone else sees the problem with this as well.

This is Clanblr, not "Kittypetblr". This was specifically made as a space for Clan cats to connect, not for kittypets to push their lifestyle on us.

They're going to convince our kits to abandon their home and their belief in StarClan just for a more secure life.

The recent drama surrounding Kipper the Kittypet is sad and I hate that he's being bashed just for existing, but it's also incredibly stupid. I believe the cat who wrote the original post said something like, "it's CLANblr, not KITTYPETblr," and then something about belief in StarClan and I just... do you even realize how many Clanblr mods are non-Clan and/or don't believe in StarClan?

To name a few, @s-t-a-r-burning is former WindClan now rogue & openly an atheist, @theshadowhaseyes has been a kittypet his whole life, and @ssuunnrraayy-p has made zir entire blog about how ze travels from one Clan to another & doesnt consider zimself a Clan cat. Those are all mods. "It's clanblr no-" shut up. Just shut up.

I think a lot of cats put way too much emphasis on the parts of the warrior code that dont matter, and forget the parts that do, like "feed elders and kits first" and "never neglect a kit in pain or danger"... I feel like those are significantly more important than "a warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet," but maybe that's just me.

I feel like we don't talk enough about how SkyClan got chased out of their own territory during a time of crisis rather than all of the Clans trying to make room for everyone...

I mean, seriously. I know it's taught to all SkyClan apprentices, but I've talked to some of my friends from other Clans and they just. Didn't know that. They were never taught that the other Clans allowed SkyClan to be chased out due to territory loss.

Hi! I'm not surehow invested you are in Joey x Pacey from Dawson's Creek but I just finished the show and I love them so much and that they ended up together. The only thing that worries me is that in season 6 Joey broke up with Pacey because of Eddie, who then leaves to Europe or something. I just have this fear that if Eddie were to hypothetically show up again, Joey would leave Pacey again for him because he broke up with (left) her, she didn't choose it. Any reassurance?

they are one of my favourite ships of all time so i’m really invested in them. i watched the show 3 years or so ago, for the first time, and they truly own my soul tbh, 

i’m going to put this under a read more because i basically wrote a book... when y’all get me talking about them i legit cant control myself. i love them so much.

I think you need to see the big picture, which is made very clear by the writers during that scene in the kitchen between pacey and joey in the last episode, which is: this show was from the moment they made pacey x joey a thing, the show became about these three friends that somehow, without expecting, got involved in a love triangle, and we as the viewers are basically told: now watch them grow up, go to college or not, watch them deal with life and pain, watch them became adults and see how that development affects (or not) their feelings.

the thing is, this love triangle really affected their friendship. it messed up joey’s friendship with dawson as best friends, it messed up dawson and pacey’s friendship, and after pacey and joey breakup in season 4 you see that there’s some hurt left through the years.

like in s5 you dont see it right away, in fact you see them trying to act like everything is cool ‘oh you are dating my roommate, that’s awesome hahah’, they even make a joke about ‘we used to date didnt we’. like these two people were the only ones, through the years, that never truly faced how much they “used” to loved each other, how hurt they got when they broke up. they just went with the flow, never truly digging deep into what happened.

while dawson and pacey had their fights through season 4 and 5, joey and dawson had their whole off and on again thing during season 5, pacey and joey never truly let themselves talk about or letting go of what happened between them. they were busy developing as people, they were bsuy have their own life experiences.

UNTIL season 6. in season 6 at first you see that they are finally beginning to face, once again, the fact that ‘yes, we dated, i loved you, i still think about you’. while they never fully address  the issue ( which they only do it in the final episode of season 6), you get once again a litle bit of what makes pacey x joey, pacey x joey. 

which i think was on purpose. the writers had to keep the love triangle alive. they gave a little of the dawson part in s5, and now they were giving us a little bit of pacey in s6.

but the thing is, season 6 pacey x joey is a very grown up version of them. they have gone through so much at that point, they had different relationships with other people, they developed, they aren’t the same pacey and joey they were in s3 or s4, or even s5. however, while that brings a new, more adult, dynamic to their relationship, the fact is that: once again these two cannot address their love for each other. they dont have a conversation like: yes, i loved you so so much, still do. they never truly have THE conversation they need to have, they just jump into the situations because of their feelings, without never truly making it clear to each other BY WORDS of how much they want each other, of how much after all that time its scary, and hurts, and that they still love each other.

they never truly faced each other, pacey, because he’s pacey, never tried to impose the fact that yes he’s in love with her, always was, always will be, so he always let joey be free.

so to me, coming full circle to what i said in the beginning, the key moment to explain why joey went with eddie at that point in season 6 and not pacey is explained by joey herself: 

“You know what, for the record, I don't want to be let off the hook. Because everything I have done has led me here, right now, and the last thing I want is to be let off somebody's hook.“

“Pacey, I love you. You know that. And it's very real. It's so real that it's kept me moving, mostly running from it, never ready for it.”

she doesnt want to be left off the hook. why? BECAUSE SHE’S AFRAID OF KEEP RUNNING.

the love she feels for him is real. she has known for a while, probably since season 4, even during season 5, and the eddie situation, that he’s her true love. however, she was never ready for it, she always kept running, she always tried to find an excuse to not go with him.

why? for several reasons, because she’s afraid of hurting dawson (yes, thats our baby girl joey, she always cared about him and she never wanted to hurt him, even tho he’s one of the worst characters to ever exist in my opinion); she was afraid of getting hurt once again, etc.

basically, she always KNEW he was the one, even when she went with eddie, the thing is: joey never had to face the fact that yes she might love pacey. he was always there for her, even after they broke up he’s still a presence in her life, then he was the one who got left behind for eddie not pacey. so basically joey never truly was left of the hook even tho she tried to leave pacey off her hook. BUT as soon as she realizes that she’s being let go by the one person she truly wants joey realizes that ‘i’m such a fool, i’ve been fighting what i know is right for me for years and i’m about to lose it’.

so, basically, the point of this post is that in the end joey was always going to choose pacey. she got left off the hook by him and hse didnt run to dawson, she ran to the one person she couldnt handle not being with, which was pacey.

in the end, i think that even if she was with eddie at that moment when pacey tells her she’s off the hook, she would have left eddie for pacey. the first time she has to face how she truly feels for pacey, the first time she’s in dangerous of losing him for good in her adult life, the first tiem they are 100% honest about how they actually feel since their season4 relationship, she realizes he’s the only person she cant never let go.
