I feel like Eugene regresses to a young kid but doesn't really understand what it is so he fights it off as much as he can because it scares him and also he doesn't like feeling vulnerable (but when his memory was wiped he didn't have much reason to fight it, especially with 3 people calling him their son, so he just kinda went with it). When he gets his memory back, at first he doesn't like them treating him like a kid because it feels good and makes his slip which freaks him out a little. I have a few ideas for how they could figure it out:

- Rosé regresses, prompting an explanation from Jancy, and after thinking about it for a while Eugene decides that's what's been happening to him and tells the gang about it

- Rosé regresses when Jancy isn't around and starts taking care of Eugene like he's a little kid, he freaks out a little, the gang catches on and explains it all to him

- Eugene slips while Jancy is around and she notices immediately, gently explains to him what's going on, and helps him get used to it

Once he's all integrated into the group, I think he'd really like being taken care of, and they'd all delight in it as well (especially Rosé when she's regressed), and he'd fit right into their dynamic perfectly.

Kind of half regressed Gene in season 2 my beloved. Eugene the kinda guy to be like "I don't know what that is and I don't have time to unpack it right now" shoving his very valid Trauma based regression into the back of his mind.

What I'd love the most is after Eugene realizes what's going on he wants to try it at home in a controlled environment first, so he's trying to explain to Felix what he's locking himself in his room for and Felix is like "Oh, it's kitten time?"

"What?"

"You know when you become a kitten? Or, what's the human version? Baby? You become baby? That's what you're doing right?"

I like the idea of Felix, again, knowing everything the entire time, but thinking the other person not knowing was part of the game, so he doesn't question it. It's a very funny part of Felix's character that he just assumes everyone around him already knows everything he knows, and is unaware he's actually crazy observant and ahead of everyone for most things. (that's mostly headcanon tho canon Felix is kinda a dumb-dumb but that's okay he's a cat <3)

Also Jancy being the one to catch Eugene slipping and inform him is very funny because I feel like when Rosé explained it to her it was a very personal description of regression and not at all backed up with research or other community notes, because Rosé is very independent like that.

So that means Jancy listened to Rosé and decided to so her own research on the topic (she does this with everything they talk to her about, it's the 'tism), which is just very funny to me to think about Jancy finding herself on Agere Tumblr squinting at a pastel pink on cloud pink text post of someone's DNI. The visual is getting to me. She doesn't know what half these words mean.
