Actually if we're being 100% canon accurate then Hank would probably never approve of SU or letting Bobby watch it. He isn't as strict about gender roles as Cotton, but so far I haven't seen him approve of any of the times Bobby's been GNC. Also he was more disgusted with Bill putting on a dress than him drinking pasta sauce straight from the jar

He stood up for Luanne when Cotton said someone else fixed the car #But he's flawed at the end of the day #I think his justification for not wanting Bobby to appear 'sensitive' is so his son doesn't get bullied #But in the episode where this reasoning was brought up it was also revealed that -#- Hank himself used to be the sort of person who would've bullied Bobby #(This logic was mentioned because of Bobby being a husky model; but still)#Anyway; I'm only on the beginning of season 4. Maybe my opinion will change after finishing the series
