IN 1999 He got commissioned as LIEUTENANT in Indian Army and sent to the 5th Battalion of Madras Regiment. After few years of service he got chance to work with RR and was a part of OPERATION RAKSHA in which he led his team to eliminate the terrorists attacked on Parliament. For his Excellent leadership and Bravery he got CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF COMMENDATION LETTER from Chief of Army Staff. There he met lots of special forces personnels and in 2002 he gave his first attempt but due to some health issues he got disqualified but again in 2003 he gave 2nd attempt and Cleared the provision AND JOINED 1st UNIT OF PARACHUTE REGIMENT. Her mother was so angry on him because he joined the most dangerous unit but luckly his first posting was in Punjab. In Punjab he met Captain Reshma Sharin, they both felt in love and ON 19th December, 2004 They both married. Every thing was good but then he got call from Kashmir where there were a plan to operate an UNDERCOVER OPERATION in which any one have to cross border go to HIZBUL and eliminate two top rated terrorists ABU TORARA AND ABU SABJAR. Major Sharma nominated himself for this task(again a great reflection of Bravery, courage and Patriotism) He started growing his beard and hairs so that he could look like a terrorist. But in at 20th March 2009 he got intel that there are some terrorist hidden in the jungle of Kupwada, Kashmir.
