Hare Sri Krishna ॐ
Vishwaroopa ("Universal form", "Omni-form"), also known popularly as Vishvarupa Darshan, Vishwaroopa and Virata rupa, is an iconographical form and manifestation of Shri Vishnu or his avatar Krishna. The direct revelation by the One without a Second, Master-Lord of the Universe. In the climactic war in the Mahabharata, the Pandava prince Arjuna and his brothers fight against their cousins, the Kauravas with Shri Vishnus Avatar Lord Krishna as his charioteer. Faced with moral dilemma that whether or not to fight against and kill his own or for dharma, Shri Krishna discourses him about life and death and reveals his Vishvarupa as a theophany. In Bhagawat Geeta, Krishna reveals himself as the Supreme Being and finally displays his Vishvaroopa to Arjuna. Arjuna experiences the vision of the Vishwaroopa with divine vision.
Lord Vishnu here is depicted in a grand manner as representing a magnification of his essence containing the entire cosmos, in a form known as Vishwaroop (Vishwa - the cosmos; Roop - form or manifestation). This depiction came from the ancient Hindu philosophy which indicated that through the diversities of creation there always is a connecting essence that threads everything into a unified whole. While the Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva represents the Supreme Being's diversified manifestation, the Vishwaroop form of Vishnu represents the spiritual concept of all creation being nothing more than diverse manifestations of a single essence. Since Brahma's function ceases once the process of Creation is completed and Shiva himself represents the cosmos or an extension of the cosmos, it is Shri Vishnu, in whom the Creation sustains and prevails, who requires cosmic magnification as the form of Vishwaroop to drive home the point that the Supreme Being not only contains all creation but also sustains it.
The Vishwaroop depiction shows Shri Vishnu as having innumerable forms eyes faces mouths and ears. All creatures of the universe are part of him. He is the infinite universe, without a beginning or and end. Each of these has its own cosmic function or represents an aspect of the cosmos. The gods depicted include Shiva, Brahma, Ganesha, Hanuman, Indra, Agni, Surya , Chandra, Maruta (Wind God), Kubera (God of wealth), Varuna (God of water) and Yama (Time) and Brahma's three sons. Various sages, asuras , demons, gods and goddesses, while Shri Vishnu retains the central position. Amongst few, Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu together form the Trinity, Ganesh and Hanuman represent faith and divinity. Agni or Fire represents life, energy and vitality. Maruta, the wind-god represents space, while Indra represents rains and cosmic balance. Yama depicts the infinite nature of time while Varuna the ocean God represents water. Kubera represents prosperity and riches. The Sun and Moon represent the cycle of birth, death, decay and finally dissolution. Brahma's three sons represent the entire mankind. Taken together as one entity they constitute the entire cosmos.!!!

Verse 11.16 - Vishwarup Darshan Yoga
अनेकबाहूदरवक्त्रनेत्रं पश्यामि त्वां सर्वतोऽनन्तरूपम् | नान्तं न मध्यं न पुनस्तवादिं पश्यामि विश्वेश्वर विश्वरूप || 16||
I see Your infinite form in every direction, with countless arms, stomachs, faces, and eyes.
O Lord of the universe, whose form is the universe itself, I do not see in You any beginning, middle, or end.
- In this verse, Arjun expresses his awe and wonder at seeing the universal form of Krishna. He sees Krishna's form as infinite and all-pervading, with no limit or boundary to His expansion. He sees Krishna's form as the source and sustainer of all creation, with countless manifestations and attributes.
- Arjun also realizes that Krishna's form is beyond the concepts of time and space, as He has no beginning, middle, or end. He is the eternal and unchanging reality, who transcends the modes of material nature. He is the supreme controller and enjoyer of everything that exists, and nothing can exist without Him.
- Arjun addresses Krishna as viśhweśhwar meaning "the Lord of the universe" and viśhwarūp meaning "the Cosmic Form". He implies that Krishna is not only the creator of the universe, but also the universe itself. He is both the cause and the effect, the whole and the part, the one and the many. He is everything that is seen and unseen, known and unknown.
Similar verses from other Vedic texts that describe the Cosmic Form of God are:
- Śvetāśvatara Upaniṣhad Verse 3.11:
सर्वाणीन्द्रियकर्माणि प्राणकर्माणि चापरे ।
आत्मसंयमयोगाग्नौ जुह्वति ज्ञानदीपिते ॥
They offer all their actions of senses and life-breaths into the fire of self-restraint kindled by knowledge.
- This verse describes the process of Self-Realization by which one can perceive the Cosmic Form of God within oneself. It says that one should restrain one's senses and life-breaths from indulging in worldly pleasures, and instead offer them as oblations into the fire of self-control ignited by spiritual knowledge. By doing so, one can burn away the impurities of ignorance and attachment, and attain the vision of God's form as the indwelling Self of all beings.
- Rig Veda Verse10.90 aka Puruṣha Sūkta which glorifies the Cosmic person or Puruṣha who is identified with God. The first verse says:
सहस्रशीर्षा पुरुषः सहस्राक्षः सहस्रपात् । स भूमिं विश्वतो वृत्वा अत्यतिष्ठद् दशाङ्गुलम् ॥
The Puruṣha has a thousand heads, a thousand eyes, and a thousand feet. He pervades the earth in all directions, and transcends it by ten fingers' length.
- This verse describes the Cosmic Form of God as the Puruṣha, who has unlimited heads, eyes, and feet, representing His omniscience, omnipresence, and omnipotence. He encompasses the entire creation within Himself, and yet He is beyond it by His transcendental nature. He is the supreme source and ruler of everything that exists.
- The Viṣhṇu Purāṇa Verse 1.9.69:
यस्यादिमध्यान्तमनन्तवीर्यं अनन्तबाहुं शशिसूर्यनेत्रम् । पश्यन्ति ये ब्रह्मसुतादयस्तं तं विष्णुमीशं हरिमेकमेव ॥
He whose beginning, middle, and end are infinite, whose power is infinite; whose arms are infinite; whose eyes are the moon and the sun; whom the sons of Brahmā and others see; Him alone do I worship as Viṣhṇu, the Lord, Hari.
- This verse praises the Cosmic Form of God as Viṣhṇu, who is the preserver and protector of the universe. He has no beginning, middle, or end, implying His eternity and immutability. He has infinite power to create, sustain, and destroy the cosmos. He has infinite arms to support and bless all living beings. He has the moon and the sun as His eyes, indicating His illumination and supervision of the world. He is seen by the sages and demigods who have attained His grace. He is the only one worthy of worship as the supreme Lord and benefactor of all.

Shri Vamshivadana Thakura appearance day Shri Vansivadananda Thakura appeared on the full moon day of the month of Caitra. Within Kuliya exist the villages, Teghari. Beciyava, Bedrapara and Cinedanga. The sons of Srikar Chattopadhyay moved from Bilvagram (Patuli) to Beciyanagram. Shri Shri Yudhisthir Chattopadhyay had three sons: Madhava das (Chakari Chattopadhyoy), Shri Hari dasa (Tin Kari) and Shri Krishna Sampati (Dui Kari). When Mahaprabhu came from Puri to have darshan of his mother and the river Ganges he stayed for seven days in the house of Madhava dasa at Kulia. At this time he excused Devananda Pandit along with all of the offenses of everyone else. Therefore the place came to be known as ‘Aparadh Banjan Pat.’ Shri Vamsi Thakura appeared in the home of Shri Madhava dasa. His mother’s name was Shrimati Candrakala Devi. Vansivadananda is the incarnation of Shri Krishna’s flute. On the day of his birth Mahaprabhu was present in the house of Shri Madhava das, along with Shri Advaita Acharya. Madhava was very devoted to Mahaprabhu and Prabhu was also very affectionate to him and his son Vansi. Vansi das was present at Navadwipa when Acharya Prabhu came there. Vamsi was engaged in the service of Visnupriya and was the receptacle of her unlimited mercy. One time Visnupriya devi and Vansi Thakura decided to give up taking food and water, there not being any point in maintaining their bodies which were so racked with the pain of separation from Mahaprabhu. Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, however, didn’t approve of this and manifested Himself before them. Then He requested them not to behave so rashly, and then instructed them both to worship His Deity form in order to mitigate their feelings of separation. https://www.instagram.com/p/CqsJyFgoAhg/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hindu texts, such as the Bhavishya Purana, glorify Utpanna Ekadashi (Utpanna Ekadashi 2023) as a conversation between Lord Krishna and King Yudhishthira. The significance of Utpanna Ekadashi is similar to that of taking a holy bath at Hindu pilgrimage sites or making donations on auspicious days. A person observing fast on Utpanna Ekadashi gets rid of his sins and ultimately attains salvation or moksha.

Verse 11.9 - Vishwarup Darshan Yoga
सञ्जय उवाच |
एवमुक्त्वा ततो राजन्महायोगेश्वरो हरि: |
दर्शयामास पार्थाय परमं रूपमैश्वरम् || 9||
Sanjay said:
Having spoken thus, O King, the great Lord of Yoga, Hari,
Displayed to Arjun his Divine and opulent Form.
Sanjay, the narrator of the Bhagavad Gita, informs Dhritarashtra, the blind king of the Kuru dynasty, that after instructing Arjun on the principles of yoga and devotion, Krishna, revealed his Cosmic Form to his devotee. The Cosmic Form is a manifestation of the Lord's unlimited power and glory, which encompasses all creation and transcends the material realm. It is a rare and special vision that is granted only to those who have attained a high level of devotion and surrender to Krishna.
The purpose of Krishna showing his Cosmic Form to Arjun was to confirm his identity as the source of everything and to remove any doubts or misconceptions that Arjun might have had about him. Arjun had previously seen Krishna as his friend and relative, but now he would see him as the supreme controller of all beings and worlds.
The Cosmic Form also served as a demonstration of Krishna's supreme will and plan for the Cosmic order. Arjun was reluctant to fight in the Kurukshetra war, thinking that it would cause unnecessary violence and suffering. But Krishna showed him that the war was inevitable and that he had already decided the outcome. He showed him that all the warriors on both sides were already devoured by his blazing mouths and that he was merely using Arjun as an instrument for his divine purpose. Thus, Arjun was encouraged to perform his duty as a warrior and a devotee, knowing that he was acting in harmony with Krishna's will.
- Rig Veda 10.90.1:
"A thousand heads hath Purusha, a thousand eyes, a thousand feet. On every side pervading earth he fills a space ten fingers wide."
- Svetasvatara Upanishad 3.11:
"He is the one God, hidden in all beings, all-pervading, the Self within all beings, watching over all works, dwelling in all beings, the witness, the perceiver, the only one, free from qualities."
- Vishnu Purana 1.9.69:
"He whose nature is unknown even by the hosts of gods and demons manifested his own form to Brahma when he had finished a hundred years of penance."
