I’m back from #RDC6, my very first (all) Hannibal con and also my very first trip to London! IT WAS AMAZING! ❤️ The Fannibals, the guests, the con, the city! What a whirlwind weekend, I wish it would never end. ❤️ Here are some of the highlights!
The guests were wonderful! Mads was so gorgeous, coy and funny! Caroline is just radiant, Tao is so sweet! Jeremy was a kindly chatterbox and Tom was so very shy and sweet. Julian was a total hoot! They were all so wonderfully fun, charming, and gracious! ❤️
You all have seen plenty of other fannibals’ amazing photos I’m sure, so I’ll just throw in a handful of mine to add to the pile! These are all from the panels and the ceremonies. Sorry for the quality, I kept trying to zoom in and it made things fuzzy. I have like a trillion Mads shots and Tom (you’re welcome, Eryn 😘) so if you guys want more of them lemme know! 😇
(I’ve posted a whole bunch more over on my twitter - @/beanyzilla!)
idk how controversial this is but I’m actually such a big fan of s3a. it’s the exact kind of phantasmagorical bullshit that makes me kick my feet and grin like a fool. the whole show goes haywire and completely abandons the generic structure of the police procedural, and it totally gets away with it because at this point the narrative has unravelled so much that the show can safely let go of whatever conformity it was barely hanging onto in s2b. and on a metafictional level the shift in external genre strangely parallels the progression of the two main characters: just as will and hannibal have changed each other, the show too has revealed its true nature
So this weekend at DC-Slash Con, I'll be moderating a panel about fan cons and I'd love to have some input from people. It isn't a long form, I'm not collecting names or emails. This isn't being published, I just want to have some data to reference. I am specifically doing this to find out why people go or don't go to fan cons at the level that they did in the past. Please answer and reblog. Thanks!
This weekend is the 2024 Fan Expo Boston convention at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston from Fri. June 14 to Sun. June 16. Here at Green’s Party, I’m covering the convention!
On a night that was rainy and Game 4 of NBA Finals with the Celtics, there was quite a turnout, especially among cosplayers. One of the biggest fanbases was for Hannibal stars Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy. I caught a fun conversation they had in the main theater as well.

Personally I'm more excited about Mikkelsen's performance as Galen Erso in Rogue One! I never got into the TV version of Hannibal Lecter, but a few years ago I did rank my Top 5 Hannibal Lecter Movies.

There were some cool selfie stations and I even got in on it too. That's me in the Harley Quinn jack-in-the-box!

I caught the panel on MA Film Production which was good too!
My first Hannibal x Sandman crossover! XD Jorassicworld was talking about Dragongram at some point and I was like HUU HUU THAT SOUNDS LIKE A CEREAL and she was like HUU HUU I WANT A COMMISSION and thus, Hannibal attends the Corinthian's Cereal Convention to show off his cool new brand!
(For the uninitiated, Dragongram is Dolarhyde x Will, but OOPS! ALL CEREAL now)
I spent so long lovingly, painstakingly, placing each dumb cereal piece XD
One day of attendee tech checks down! We still have tech checks available tomorrow (Thursday) at 11:00, 16:00, and 21:00 EDT so folks can be sure they know what they need to be able to do for Zoom, Discird, and Kosmi. Then Friday! The first day of DC-Slash Con 2023.
If you haven't registered yet, bit.ly/DC-Slash_Reg. If you can't remember you can check the list of attendees at the site as well.
