Generally, camellia flowers symbolize love, affection, and admiration. Red camellias symbolize love, passion, and deep desire.
══✿══╡°˖✧✿✧˖°╞══✿══
A knock on the door of your office disrupted your concentrated state. You looked away from the bright computer screen to the wooden doors. Sighing, you pinched the bridge of your nose before acknowledging whoever was outside waiting for your response.
“Come on in, please!” you ordered. The person behind you opened the heavy doors struggling. The figure of your assistant greeted you, he was carrying a box that he left in the free space of your desk.
“Hello, Felix. What is this?” you asked, clearly intrigued by the mysterious thing that was hiding inside the box. Your assistant shrugged, walking back to close the doors and then making his way back to you to explain what it was.
“The mailman said this was for you, and I was told to bring it to you as soon as possible. Are you going to open it now, boss?” he said, biting his lip and guarding his hands in his pockets. He was a curious cat, just like you, so with a smile, you stood up and brought the box closer to where you were.
Felix paid close attention to the way you opened the box, ripping the tape and unfolding it. You peaked inside to see what it was, letting a small gasp escape your lips when you saw the content.
Carefully, you slid your hand and took it, placing it in the middle of your desk. Felix's eyes examined the object while you revised the box for anything else, and at the bottom, you found a sealed letter.
“These are the prettiest flowers I’ve seen in awhile” the wondered boy let out. You smiled, letting your finger caress one delicate petal. It felt so soft, it reminded you of his lips against you the first time he kissed you so gently.
“Who are these from?” your assistant asked, bringing you back to reality.
“Changbin. He included a letter, even” you showed him the proof, the white envelope in your hand suddenly seeming so bright from the sunlight that managed to touch it. It was almost like it was glowing, you thought.
Felix sat in the chair in front of your desk, and you could swear that you could hear his thoughts wondering about what Changbin wanted to tell you for it to be this special, and you rolled your eyes.
“Thank you for bringing this to me, Lix. You can continue with whatever it was you were doing before this.” The sudden sound of your voice scared him, making him jump in his seat. The man stood up, gave you an apologetic smile and exited your office. Knowing Binnie, being alone to read what he wrote for your eyes only was the best thing to do.
You opened the envelope carefully and unfolded the letter that was inside. Changbin’s handwriting filled almost all of it, you felt your heart swell with love before starting to read it.
To my beloved princess,
I had a lovely conversation with your boss and he told me that you could leave early today, you’re welcome, baby.
You may wonder why I asked for you to be free today since it’s not our anniversary or something like that, I just wanted to do something nice for you, for the woman I love so much. Just go home and wait for me, beautiful. I’ll be back at 6 from work, you can go to a spa and treat yourself for the day before you see me, I left my card on your nightstand, make good use of it. There’s also a pretty gift waiting just for you to open it. I know it’ll fit you just perfectly. I want you to wear it when I take you to a nice restaurant, and when we get home you can thank me however you like.
See you at home, darling.
Love, Changbin.
Nothing special, he said. His only request was to be ready when he got home, so you decided that you would put a lot of effort into giving him what he wanted.
You made your way home, opening the front door and stepping inside. Everything seemed to be just like it was when you left, with a few exceptions of things placed differently. The house looked clean, so you went to the main bedroom to look for the present Changbin mentioned in his letter.
In the middle of the bed was a box large enough to content clothing. When your eyes laid on it, you already knew what to expect. Occasionally, your boyfriend liked to surprise you like this, he said it kept the spark and even after many reassuring from you telling him you loved him as much as you did the first time, he argued with you that he did it to treat you like the queen you are, shutting you with a kiss and a wink, making you giggle and tug his shirt to kiss him again.
Opening the box, you found a sexy set of lingerie, discreet enough to be able to wear it with a tight dress, so putting it on you started to get ready for him; it was fairly early still, so you would have enough time to make yourself as pretty as you wanted, redoing your hair and playing music to pass the time more relaxed.
Your mind started to think about the possible things Changbin prepared for you, he could surprise you in many ways, by his actions or his words. He had many ways to show you how much he loved you and how much you meant for him, and you could say that you felt the same way about him. It was never stated but you were sure he was probably your soulmate. Whenever you were together you felt like you could face anything in the world, and while there's obviously been discussions you always got over it and continued as if nothing had happened, but minding what had initiated the argument to avoid having it again. The two of you were always mindful of each other, and liked to spoil yourselves constantly, him giving you random gifts like this more often, and you loved to thank him always.
Looking at the clock, you saw that it was almost time for him to get back home. You didn't know how much you spent getting ready and fantasizing about him, but you didn't care. All you wanted now was to be with your love and spend a lovely time with him.
You looked at him coming closer, a smile on your lips as he saw you, returning your smile.
"Ready?" he asked, extending his arms for you to take his hand. You walked closer to him and placed your hand on top of his with a smile.
"I'm always ready when it's with you."

The smell coming from the oven let you know that the cake you had been working on previously seemed to be ready. You looked around the house, appreciating how tidy everything was, your eyes stopping on the table admiring how it was accommodated for you date night with Hyunjin.
Taking out the cake from the oven, you started decorating it. It was your 4 years anniversary; the day started as usual for the two of you. He got up, took a shower and kissed you sweetly on the lips before he went to work. You waited for him to leave before hurrying to the shower and getting ready  to go out and buy everything you needed for today’s dinner.
You went to a certain store to pick up a piece of lingerie that you knew Hyunjin would love, saved it in your bag and then continued to get the groceries for the special dinner, crossing the list of items needed once they were in your cart.
It was inevitable for you to proceed with your day without a smile on your face, but it was just your love for Hyunjin getting the best of you. Every day since you were together he brightened you up, his sole presence making you feel relaxed and glad to have him in your life, even if he was too dramatic or too playful; he was perfect in your eyes, just like he said you were to him. It took you a long time to accept that what he said was true, at the start of your relationship you thought that you weren’t enough for him.
He was mad, obviously, but not at you. He was mad at all the people who made you think that to be with him you would have to be… not you. And since the start, he fell in love with your persona, not your looks. And it took you some time, but once you realized that you were thankful to him. Hyunjin was incredible, always making sure to reassure you that he was in love with you and never failing to enamorate you more and more, as if you could fall even deeper for him.
The sound of the front door opening made you turn to receive your handsome boyfriend with a smile. You got ready for him while the cake was baking, and protected your beautiful dress with an apron to prevent it from any frosting stains falling on you.
Wiping your hands on the apron and taking it off, you made your way to the tall man who left his stuff on the couch and immediately extended one of his arms to pull you towards him and embrace you, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead as well once you were against him.
“Hey, honey, I’m home,” he said, kissing your lips with his plump ones and smiling from ear to ear, still holding you with the only arm that he opened for you, and it was just then when you realized that he was hiding his other arm behind his back suspiciously, but you decided to ignore it with a playful smile on your face.
“Dinner is almost ready, baby. How was work today?” you asked, walking away from him to serve the plates that you prepared since you got home. You left the cake for later and listened to him telling you about everything at work. He didn’t seem to be too tired, and you thanked all the existing heavens for that, you knew he would be needing that extra energy for later when you two get more private.
Hyunjin moved around the house, his beautiful voice resonating everywhere in the house so you could hear him in the kitchen made you smile sweetly, and after 15 minutes of him talking, you finally announced that dinner was ready.
You ate together, remembering your past anniversaries and what special things you did for them, reminiscing about the start of your relationship, happy laughs and bright smiles on your faces while you talked. A few confrontations and discussions about silly things also happened, but just as you said back then that you would laugh about it in the future, you laughed thinking about what happened.
Placing the cake on the table so Hyunjin cut it for you, he was amazed by the pretty decoration and kissed your cheek when he read what was written on it. ‘Happy Anniversary’, in cursive so it seemed more elegant. He playfully smeared some frosting on you, only to lick it clean himself, making you blush.
Hyunjin finished the cake quickly, waiting until you were almost done before taking your hand and taking you to your living room. You looked at him as he nervously paced around the place, one of his hands running through his silky hair and then you locked eyes with him when he cleared his throat.
“Y/N...” he walked to you, taking your hand in his. You looked down to where he was holding you, his thumb caressing the back of your hand sweetly. “It’s been a long way to get here, doll. We had our ups and downs, but we’re still together after all,” he took a breath in, his free hand looking for something in his pocket and once he had a small velvet box and he kneeled in front of you. Your mind realized what was going on, your eyes filled with tears and your other hand flew to your mouth in clear surprise.
After the brief pause, he continued: “You mean the world to me, baby. I've known you for long enough to know that my life wouldn’t be the same for me. You’re the love of my life, and I want to be by your side for as long as life allows me to. Would you marry me,Y/N?” Hyunjin opened the box as he pronounced the last question.
You threw your arms around him, hugging him as you let the salty tears roll down your face. “Yes, Hyunjin! Of course I’ll marry you! Yes, yes, a hundred times!” you cried out, burying your face on the crook of his neck. He corresponded your hug, standing up and spinning you around the free space of your living room just like in all the romantic movies you’d seen together. This was the best moment of your life, without a doubt.
When Hyunjin finally stopped, he placed you on the floor and kissed you sweetly, taking the ring out of the box and placing it on the corresponding finger. You stared at it, it was so beautiful… You hadn’t noticed that Hyunjin had left again, but you didn’t mind it, thinking that probably he had left to get some tissues for you.
He came back holding a tiny bouquet of many purple flowers that he gave to you. You took it in your hands, analyzing all the pretty flowers in it. Hyunjin’s hand wrapped yours, and he centered his eyes on the gift he got you.
“You know, the florist told me what these purple flowers mean, that’s why they’re the most important ones here. Wanna know what they mean?” he asked you. You looked up at him, nodding. “They mean eternal love. And that’s what I feel for you, pumpkin. I’ll love you forever.”
You couldn’t help it, everything about this moment was so perfect, that without noticing you were crying again, a big smile painted on your lips as you looked from the flowers to the beautiful face of your now fiancé.
You stayed like that for a few minutes, until you remembered what you bought and had to surprise him, so you moved away and practically ran to the kitchen.
Quickly, you placed the flowers somewhere they would be safe, and you went back to Hyunjin. Now it was your time to surprise him.
“Baby, I have to show you something. Let’s go to the room so we can play until we’re tired, what do you think?” you asked him, letting your hands travel all over you body, putting on a show for him.
With a smirk on his face, Hyunjin looked up at you, licking his lips before answering your suggestion.
“It’s playtime then, doll. Let's go.”

Bang Chan x Reader.

The carnation means fascination, distinction, and love. Light red carnations symbolize admiration, dark red carnations symbolize love and affection.
══✿══╡°˖✧✿✧˖°╞══✿══
Chan was always a gentleman with you, since the first time he went to pick you up at your house for your first date; you remembered how his dimpled smile gained compliments from your parents and how you rushed to get out of there so you would have a date and not stay at your home just chatting with your progenitors.
He took you to a nice restaurant, placing his hand on your thigh as he drove his car all the way there from your house. He started a small talk with you to pass the time, asking you about your day and what you had for breakfast that morning, and somehow, like it always happens when you’re talking to someone you’re comfortable with, the conversation topics changed often, filling the car with giggles and laughs about the occurrences that slipped out of your lips.
When you arrived at the restaurant, you had a permanent smile on your face.
Chan exited the car first and almost ran to your door to open it for you, giving you his hand to help you get out of it and when you were out, he placed his hand gently on the small of your back to guide you to the entrance. Your eyes scanned the place, it looked like a normal restaurant you’d find at malls, but more exclusive to couples, from what caught your eye. There weren’t any families with kids, but more young adults like yourselves and some other public who seemed to be having casual meetings.
You didn’t hear Chan talking to the waitress, but felt him guiding you to your reserved table in a place that was a bit more hidden, which made sense when you saw all the decorations in front of you. The lightning there was quite dim, but the candles that were already lighted made up for that; the places had a red napkin folded in a flower shape, and in the middle of the table was a vase with a bouquet of flowers with different tones of red.
Unable to hide your surprise, Chan’s giggle brought you back to reality. He removed the hand from where it was to  pull a chair from its place, extending his hand to take the one that hadn’t flown to cover your mouth and indicated you to sit you. You did, successfully, and felt a blush coming to your cheeks when he sat down in front of you. You couldn’t face him yet, your gaze was focused on all the decorations on the table.
“Do you… like it, Y/N?” Chan asked. Just then, you locked eyes with him, a worried expression on his face and you were quick to reassure him that he left you speechless by his intention of impressing you. He clearly succeeded in surprising you.
“I love this! All of it, I wasn’t expecting anything like this to happen, to be honest. This is the first time someone does something this nice just for me. You really got me, Chan. Thank you” your hand reached his one that was resting on the table, giving him a gentle squeeze of reassurance. He sighed, clearly relieved that you genuinely liked this gesture, looking away from you to appreciate how your hand looked on top of his with a pretty smile.
The waitress came back, asking if you were ready to order. You silently looked at your companion who listed the full order and after she wrote everything down and left, you shared a shy look with him. He returned the smile, and continued the previous conversation you were having in the car.
Once the waitress came back carrying the plates, dinner proceeded nicely, sharing beloved memories from your childhood or just talking about anything that came to mind.
Everything was fun, until the two of you finished your plates. You kept talking for what felt like hours, the waitress asked if you would like a dessert and Chan happily accepted her suggestion, asking what they had. He looked at you, saying that since he ordered first for the two of you he would try what you wanted, so you decided on chocolate bread pudding, because you’d been craving chocolate for a while now.
While eating, there was a moment of comfortable silence when you were savouring the dessert you’d chosen. Chan suddenly got all serious, and decided to ask you what had been on his mind for the past hours: “what’d you think of our date, Y/N?”
You smiled at him, your eyes almost closing from how big it was, and wiping your mouth, you answered him.
“It’s been so much fun! I never get tired of talking with you, it’s one of the many reasons why I like you, Chan.” You didn’t know it, but hearing you say those words, and with the gentle tone you used to show how honest you were being made his heart swell. He was proud of himself for doing all of this for you, deciding that the next time he would take you on a date he’d remember to surprise you like this, to see how you reacted.
“I’m glad you’re having fun, Y/N,” he smiles back at you, looking down to his empty plate. You were almost done too, just a few more bites and that delicious pastry would be gone.
When he was done, he decided to change the topic, taking the bouquet of flowers from the vase and looking at the pretty plants on his hands. “I chose this arrangement for you, you can take it home if you’d like,” he said, looking at you while his hands kept turning the flowers.
“Wow, you chose it? I took you more for a roses guy” you joked, smiling when he laughed too.
“Roses are too cliché. These are carnations. Wanna know what they symbolize?” he asked, raising a brow at you. You nodded and he smirked before answering you. “They represent three things; fascination, distinction, and love. I chose them because I’m finding it very easy to fall in love with you. You fascinate me so much, you have no idea” you looked at him, wide eyes and hot cheeks. You’d been going on together for a while, but this was the first time he said something like that, leaving you once again surprised.
“I could say… that I feel the same about you, Chan. You’re very interesting, funny and caring, sometimes I wonder if you’re even real” you admitted. He looked at you, his ears and face turning an adorable shade of red.
“Let’s make our relationship official, then. What do you say?” His words surprised you, the tone in which he had said that being serious. But he was right, everyone knew how interested you were with each other, so why turn down that offer? None of you had anything to lose, so with a smile on your lips and feeling like your pupils were heart shaped, you brought a hand to your chin and acted as if you were thinking of your answer, his giggles making you smile playfully.
“I say... That I know that you’re going to be a fantastic boyfriend, so yes. Of course, Bang Chan, I want to be your girlfriend.”
