wanted to share some notes from my fic-plotting

which has consumed any energy for creation and honestly LORD knows if I'll ever release it upon the public BUT

i really wanted it to have a polyam lams and hamliza and thus the relationship chart has stuff like J<--> A: messiest relationship preservation. which. fair. one’s bisexual and polyamorous and blindingly aware of the monogamous society he's in without the full scope of words with which to defend himself. the other is the most repressed self-denying homosexual this side of the Atlantic in the 1700s. they make it work. almost didn’t. but they make it work. addition:

gee laurens how come you’re living with the hamiltons? “gas leak” “frances needs a ma, and no i don't want to remarry” “rats” “he’s like family” “new york is fucking expensive and i got cut off” A<--> E: almost insta-love the way they fell hard for each other. but no, they were upfront about the practical matters of marriage. alex managed to send multiple letters that were to the tune of “im originally a poor Caribbean bitch. are you sure you wanna marry me?” and had to be pressed into confessing about john. it fucked up eliza for a while, but lupe (OC, my darling) offered some good advice. E<-->J: john kinda hated her for a whileeee

bitter ass bitch, had to be put in his place by eliza. would have self-sabotaged it but God and Samson (main oc, he goes through So Much) didn’t let himself fall onto a sword.

ever since i discovered that john laurens was a petty ass bitch I've been wanting to see John and Eliza be incredibly fucking snippy with each other but that would have been impossible with the Way Things Were re: genteel manners, the disregard towards women's opinions, john laurens' most likely inbuilt sexism (that ham also had, he's not getting off the hook on this) Penelope and Samson did not expect themselves to be dealing with such a dynamic and had to work overtime to make sure they didn't implde. unfortunately sam always sees that laughing 5 year old redhead when he looks at his cousin (alex) and Penelope knows that beyond all the points where these people annoy her, they are actually pretty decent for their time. she's mostly doing it so her sanity and her husband's peace of mind is preserved (god she does so much emotional labour)

What are you thinking? hums the voice of his deity, reverberating against the walls of his skull, the walls of the temple, the sliver of night sky he can see through the open window. A mourning dove cries somewhere far beyond the confines of the praying room. With only a moment’s thought he knows that it is She who spoke to him.

“Greatest and most beloved. Is He there too?” Alexander asks. 

Yes, hum their voices. Yes, he is; yes, I am, in perfect unison, their words overlapping like waves on the shore. He hears them perfectly, of course. Since he came to them he always has. 

Good evening, says He, as She remains silent. Answer her question, little thing, if you wish it.

He has been here only half an hour; every time he visits it takes less time for them to notice him, and the other monks are so very jealous. By the rules of the outside world, having drawn their attentions allows him to make the law, to interpret the will of the Two Beyond; although he is certain he has never erred in his judgment, he thinks perhaps this respect is the only thing he has ever received unfairly. It is not the other monks’ fault they are not so clever, or so interesting, or so pretty.

“I am thinking,” he says to the Gods Beyond Name, the greatest and most beloved, the shapers of fire and water, the Makers of All Law, the Dying and the Rising, the Sharpened and the Softened, the Bloodied and the Gracious, the only two things in the world, “that I would kiss you both on your raw red mouth, if you had one.” 

A crack forms in the stone beneath him, the closest thing they have to a smile.

Giving my take on ships

Hamliza: 10/10. Historically accurate. Cute. Except for ham cheating but she forgave him so

Lams: 8/10. Decently historically accurate. (At least from the letters). I would give it a nine but I’ve read some fics that left me legit horrified.

Marliza: 6/10. I don’t really look into this ship.

Whamilton: 1/10. I assume this is Washington and Hamilton?? Not a fan. That’s a father and a son right there.

Kingbury: 10/10. I love this ship with my heart and soul. Mostly as a crackship, but also for the angst.

George^2: 8/10. The crackship possibilities are endless. Funny as hell.

Jeffmads: 8/10. I personally see them more as little shit best friends but to each their own.

Pheaker: 2/10. Literally how did this become a ship. That’s his murderer that he didn’t even really know before then.

Hamburr: 9/10. (Bonus points if from that one historical Hamburr artist.) I love Hamburr for the doomed yaoi.

Leebury: 7/10. I am a die-hard kingbury stan… but Seabury has two hands…

Jamilton: 8/10. I am a firm believer in the eroticism of a rivalry.

Jeffmadsburr: 6/10. I have no idea if this is a real ship but it’s giving heathers so I have to respect it.

Day 3: Wrongfully Arrested — Jesus Christ Superstar · Jesus/Mary/Judas — Jesus rushes to save Judas from being punished in a way he doesn't deserve.

Day 4: Hallucinations + Motion Sickness (Alt. Prompt) — Hamilton — Alexander and Washington find themselves in the clutches of a cruel soldier. His experiments leave the two in quite a predicament.

Day 5: Heatstroke — Hamilton — The heat of battle is only made worse by the oppressive summer sun. Aaron Burr finds himself faltering. 

Day 6: Not Realizing They're Injured — Jesus Christ Superstar— After a violent riot breaks out, not everyone is as unscathed as it seems.

Day 7: "It's Us Or Them." — 9-1-1 — Buck ends up in the hospital after making a choice.

Day 8: Sleep Deprivation — Hamilton · Hamburr — As Alexander and Aaron push through a high-stakes murder case that bring up bad memories for the both of them, the lack of sleep causes something else to brew between them.

Day 9: Obsession — Hamilton · Hamburr · Modern — Aaron runs into trouble when a mysterious man takes an interest in him.

Day 26: Nightmares + Breakfast Table — Hamilton · Modern — Aaron's daughter is always hanging around that Hamilton kid. He doesn't mind it as much as he pretends to— Philip is a sweet boy, after all, and it gives Aaron the excuse he needs to see his former friend despite bridges being burned to a crisp. But when Aaron get's a phone call one stormy night, everything changes.

Day 27: Voiceless + Communication Barrier ( Alt. Prompt) — Jesus Christ Superstar — Judas had only wanted them to warn Jesus off. He hadn't expected... this.

Day 28: Exposure + Secrets Revealed (Alt. Prompt)— Jesus Christ Superstar — As tensions rise amongst two of the apostles while on a mission, some secrets comes to the surface.

Day 29: Burnout + Shivering (Alt. Prompt) — Hamilton— Everything is coming to a breaking point. Words don't look like words anymore. Alexander doesn't feel like Alexander anymore.

Day 30: Recovery + Hospital Bed + "What Have I Done?" — Hamilton · Jamilton—  After an attempt brought on by something Thomas said, he's left to pick up the pieces of a broken Hamilton.

Day 31: Asking For Help + Therapy — 9-1-1 — No one can understand why Buck is so averse to therapy.

Friendly Fire + Survivor's Guilt— John hadn't meant to hit him. He truly didn't. But Alexander was still on the ground.

Time Loop— Jesus and Mary don't abandon Judas once the three days have come and gone. Their love perseveres. And they would have followed him anywhere.

Venom— The snakes of the desert were the furthest thing from Jesus' mind. Maybe they shouldn't have been.
