Here's some art I made to be coverart for one of the Buso Renkin manglings I've been working on. XD You've probably seen some pieces of character art and expression doodles on that note if you've been poking around here the past two weeks. This story in particular is chronologically before the events of the main series and focuses on the reworking's story of what happened to the Hayasaka twins. It has some elements that are the same as canon (including that just... jarringly dark, dark backstory for a random mediocre shonen manga, with the child abuse and kidnapping) but most of it is wildly different. It is titled "Rethink Gemini" because sometimes cool-sounding cryptic-ish titles are actually thoughtful and aren't pulled out the butt at the last minute. XD *side-eyes Squeenix* It's been a cool opportunity to research real life alchemy symbols and have some versions in-universe of their use (that isn't "mix horse dung and sulphur and boil it until it turns white to create elixirs!" because... uh... that's literal horse apples XD). That symbol in the middle which contains the Homunculus insignia is what I'm using as the Creation Alchemist/Earth Alchemist faction in my reworking. 100% Ink because ink is cool and moody.
