In Pokémon Crystal, the amount of friendship gained is doubled when levelling up only, whereas in Generation III and Generation V onwards, any friendship gains will be boosted by 1. (X)

There are eight different variants of Pikachu in hats that match Ash/Satoshi’s hats from the different anime seasons. Six of these debuted in Sun and Moon, one of them was introduced in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, and the final World Cap variation was released in Sword and Shield. These Pikachu are all male, cannot breed, cannot evolve, and can remember the move Volt Tackle. All but World Cap form can use the special Z-move 10,000,000 Volt Thunderbolt; there aren’t any Z-moves useable in Sword and Shield.
