Im always torn on this because like yeah practice your way find things that work for you but there are fundamentals that should be followed or you risk just getting into bullshit land.

I think i explained it better in the tags.

But in summary, we cant learn unless we try to understand magic and so much of our knowledge of magic was lost or burned or whatnot that we really do need people expermienting and pushing the boundrys of what can be done so we can improve on what we know. I think people who practice their own way are important for the growth of magic. Just watch your step because it is easy to fall into bullshit claims that dont actually work and end up believing it off of placebo /cough cough been there done that/

Theres a lot of other mental traps you need to be aware of when practicing so you dont end up building up false information, imo its a lot more about navigating your own headspace and watching the affects of what works and what doesn't to further advance your own magic and the general understanding of it.
