Ykw I usually see the wh fandom painting Julie as airheaded while Frank is the one who has to rail in her naïveté or w/e but I don’t think that’s right at all. I think they’re both very smart, but that intellectuality manifests in different ways for them — Frank is more inclined to the practical things while Julie is more inclined to the abstract stuff — and I also think they can both act very obliviously in their own ways (see what’s the deal with airline food joke from Barnaby).
