#Like. One of them literally did missionary work in Africa and was exactly the kind of Weirdo you'd expect about it#She also probably intentionally prevented me from getting gender affirming care for years and stated to my face that 'G-d doesn't#make mistakes' about intersex people#The other one I stopped going to cold turkey after she said Egyptian men simply can't control themselves so that's why hijab exists#In reference to my frustration with cultural expectations#Like no you dimwit. For one thing most Egyptian women don't cover their hair#For another this isn't about men being slobbering animals (b/c they aren't) its about THE CHOICE to punish women if they go 'too far'#And saying that about EGYPTIAN MEN to an EGYPTIAN MAN is about the dumbest thing you can do#Especially because I have covered my hair and dressed modestly and felt comfortable doing so!
