And I thought it would be fun to do a fun comic cover homage! My biggest inspiration for this piece was Terry Dodson (my favourite artist for Black Cat)!

Chapter I: The Silver Lining

The moon hung low in the sky, casting a ghostly glow over the city as Felicia Hardy, the infamous Black Cat, slinked across the rooftop of an opulent museum. Her silhouette was barely visible against the dark sky, her every movement a calculated display of grace and agility. Tonight, her target was unlike anything she had stolen before—a rare and mysterious artifact known as the Eye of Orunmila, an ancient relic said to possess untold power.

Felicia had done her research. The Eye of Orunmila was believed to be a conduit for supernatural forces, a gateway between realms, created centuries ago by an African shaman who had harnessed the power of the gods themselves. The artifact had been lost for generations, only to resurface recently in the private collection of an eccentric billionaire. And now, it was about to change hands again, though its new owner would remain blissfully unaware.

The museum's security was top-notch, but Felicia thrived on challenges. She bypassed the alarms and cameras with ease, her expert fingers making quick work of the sophisticated locking mechanisms. Within minutes, she was inside the exhibition hall, her eyes locked on the glass case at the center of the room. The Eye of Orunmila sat on a velvet cushion, its surface shimmering with an otherworldly light.

Felicia approached the artifact, her heart pounding with excitement. She could feel a strange energy emanating from it, a subtle vibration in the air that sent a shiver down her spine. But she was no stranger to danger. If anything, it exhilarated her. With a flick of her wrist, she disabled the glass case's alarm and carefully lifted the Eye of Orunmila from its resting place.

The moment her fingers closed around the artifact, Felicia felt a jolt of electricity shoot through her body, as if she had just grasped a live wire. She gasped, her hand trembling as she struggled to maintain her grip on the relic. The energy was overwhelming, but she was determined not to let it go. She had come too far to back down now.

Another homage to Black Cat in "Spider-Man 2: The Movie - The Game" that I just finished up! Her missions were always super fun!

And she's still my fav version of Felicia to date.

Title: Black Cat's Web of Shadows

Felicia Hardy, better known as Black Cat, moved silently through the labyrinthine streets of New York City, her every step purposeful and calculated. The city that never slept had a darker side—one where shadows thrived, and secrets were traded like currency. Tonight, she was deeply embedded in that world, a pawn in a game that was far more dangerous than any she had played before.

The job had seemed simple at first: serve as the middleman in a high-stakes transaction between two powerful criminal factions. One wanted to offload a rare artifact of immeasurable value, and the other wanted to buy it—at any cost. In the world of underground dealings, Felicia was well-known for her neutrality, for playing both sides just enough to keep herself out of the crosshairs. But this time, something about the deal felt… wrong.

As she approached the abandoned warehouse where the transaction would take place, a chill ran down her spine. The air was heavy with the scent of rain, the clouds overhead swollen and ominous. The warehouse loomed before her, its windows shattered, and its steel doors rusted with age. It was the perfect place for a deal like this—out of sight, out of mind—but something about it unsettled her.

Felicia's instincts had never failed her before, and tonight, they screamed at her to turn back. But she had already committed. She slipped through a side entrance, her black bodysuit blending into the shadows. Her movements were fluid, graceful, every muscle finely tuned to her craft. The interior of the warehouse was dark, lit only by the faint glow of a single overhead lamp that swayed gently in the wind, casting eerie shadows on the concrete floor.

She could hear voices in the distance, muffled but growing clearer as she made her way deeper into the building. Two figures stood in the center of the room—one, a tall man in a finely tailored suit, his features obscured by the shadows. The other was a woman, her face hidden beneath a wide-brimmed hat, her posture tense. They were the buyers, no doubt about it. ✨🐾 Just finished playing Spider-Man 2, and can we talk about how incredible Black Cat is in this game? Felicia Hardy really adds a whole new level of excitement and intrigue! 😍 Her dynamic with Peter is so well-written, making their chemistry electric. 💥💖

From the thrilling chase sequences to their playful banter, Black Cat steals the spotlight every time she’s on screen. I love how the game highlights her duality as both an ally and a rival for Spidey. The balance between their flirtatious rivalry and the tension of her questionable motives keeps you on your toes! 🙌

The visuals and animations for her character are stunning too! Her agile moves remind us why she's one of Peter's most iconic love interests. Can't wait to see more of her as I dive deeper into the game! 🎮✨

I wanted to draw a classic Spider-Man comic cover that paid homage to Spider-Man: Blue (which is one of my all-time favourite Spider-Man stories). But I wanted to paint something with an autumn vibe to it. And showcase Spidey and some of his most famous romantic partners.
