I wanted to draw fakemon, and it’s been a while since I have, so I decided to do the design prompter that @erinscoolart made. I went into this expecting to do a simple one or two evolution line to help me get back into designing fakemon- I immediately rolled a sixteen on the first step. Which meant it was time to design starter pokemon. 9 of them. I went to roll for the secondary types; ghost, poison and dark. Very emo honestly.

And so I got to work on these guys. They did end up sort of emo. I’ll admit that I’m not entirely happy with these guys but I think they’re pretty neat. I don’t actually have names for any of the evolutions because shrublet is probably the best I can do in terms of names.

The Starter trio in Pheorn. Ursomno, a sleepy moss-covered black bear cub, Banbatii, a Big ear bat whose fluff is filled with gunpowder, and Fawndine, a White-tailed, tail-less deer with water in it's place instead

Howlwhip: The Steel Whip Pokemon

Grass Steel type

Abilities: Overgrow (Long Reach)

From its wrist sprouts a long, dexterous whip. This whip is as durable as steel and will not break. They are highly sneaky and secretive, preferring to stay in the shadows, only showing itself when it needs to. They dislike extreme heat, so they tend to stay in the cold forests of the North.

Arachnosis: The Dream Weaver Pokemon

Fire Psychic type

Abilities: Blaze (Insomnia)

Arachnosis gets distracted very easily. When it is focused however, its ability to manipulate sleep and dreams of its opponents... Or itself. It has no real protection against its own power, so they wear masks spun from a burning silk to protect themselves.

Tsudonami: The Lake Monster Pokemon

Water Normal type

Abilities: Torrent (Scrappy)

It lives in the middle of vast bodies of fresh water. Their scales and fur are completely waterproof and insulated, allowing it to stay underwater even in freezing temperatures. It is almost always mistaken as the highly dangerous and powerful Pokemon, Gargantic. Because of this misinterpretation, Tsudonami prefers to stay away from people.

Tanootlet - Leaf Mask Pokemon - Grass Type

Etymology: Tanuki + raccoon + nutlet (a small nut or seed)

Dex: Long ago, these pokemon were considered pests and driven away into hiding. Because of their rarity today, some say coming across a Tanootlet brings good luck. Tanootlets are too curious for their own good, sometimes getting into trouble.

Sparkid - Goat Pokemon - Fire Type

Etymology: Spark or spar + kid (baby goat)

Dex: Sparkid’s hooves and horns often light up red hot, casting fiery sparks in the air when climbing cliffs or headbutting trees. It loves play fighting with others of its kind, the clashing of their horns can make a beautiful light show of flames.

Skipalisk - Bubble Lizard Pokemon - Water Type

Etymology: Skip or skipper + pal + basilisk 

Dex: Skipalisk is determined and focused when it comes to running and leaping, yet it is cautious when it comes to its safety, forming a goggle-like water bubble to protect its eyes. It runs through the water of ponds and shallow beaches to strengthen its little legs.

I thought this would be a quick and easy thing but designing them took like.. a few weeks.. (turns into a roach and skuttles away)

Here are the mid-evolutions for my Fakemon starters! (link to the actual starters) These ones are called Truncoco, Coburn, and Hippour. I'm pretty proud of how these turned out considering I'm not the best at drawing Pokemon designs that aren't small and cute, and mid-evos are also something I've struggled with in the past.

Also for fun, you guys can try and guess what secondary types they'll get when fully evolved, because all three of them do become dual typed.
