all of these are from muddy roads & foxgloves, since it’s the wip i have the most written for atm!

these have... a weirdly disproportionate amount of Valyan for some reason

“So what’s the plan?” Valyan demanded. “We walk around this big forest until we stumble upon the killer plant?” (episode 1)

Finally, Petra said, “Okay, I know I’m not the best with emotional stuff, but you have to tell me how I can help you because you always do this.”

“I always do what?” Valyan asked, their voice muffled.

“This. Breaking down out of nowhere and then pretending it all never happened.” (episode 2)

Before he could open his mouth, Valyan mumbled, “I’m fine.”

“You almost drowned,” Finneas pointed out, heading back to the kitchen.

“I didn't,” Valyan retorted, picking up the spoon to poke at their soup. “I’m fine.”

“If you say so,” Finneas called back. Noticing a coffee machine sitting on the counter, he added, “Want some coffee, kid?”

“Okay.” (episode 6)

Finneas took a moment to stabilize his breathing before opening his eyes. On the counter, a mess of vines covered the fake marble, wrapped around the handles of the rusty faucet, creating a knotted nest in the sink. (episode 4)

“No, I know what exam stress looks like on you,” Valyan said, “and this is different.”

“You’re bullshitting. I don’t have a distinct ‘exam stress’.”

“Exam Stress Petra over waters her plants.” Valyan pointed to Petra’s plant shelf. “That little guy is looking a little dry.” (episode 0)
