My goodness this one is delightfully evil - how could I possibly choose!? 😱

The moment at the end of E05 when he is handed Crozier's pistol. I'd choose the whole episode if I could, of course, iconic as it all is, but I've narrowed it down to this as it's such a huge watershed moment for his relationship with Crozier. There's great symbolism there, I feel, in the exchanging of that weapon which I've waxed lyrical about before (mainly here if you're interested) But mostly I love it because it really does flip the whole episode on its head. Little is ground down and put upon and thinks that Crozier holds no true regard for or trust in him whatsoever. Yet in one moment - with one action - it suddenly becomes apparent that that's just not true. It becomes apparent that, in his own toxic, backwards, awful way, Crozier has a huge amount of trust in and respect for Little - he wouldn't have handed over the weapon, literally placed his life in Little's hands, if that weren't the case. But here's the thing: SOMEHOW, THAT'S WORSE THAN HAVING NO RESPECT OR TRUST AT ALL.

His first conversation with Crozier at Terror Camp (feat. sneaky Tozer) There's a lot to love about this wee scene and I think to some degree it's slept on a bit. First of all, it shows Little as a perfectly capable lieutenant and leader. He's brought the advanced party ashore, he's overseen the placement and set-up of the camp, and he's specifically praised by Crozier for having done all of that successfully. Secondly, it establishes the improvement that's occurred in his relationship with Crozier in general. They're both surprisingly relaxed for the most part, speaking openly and frankly and more as equals than they've ever been before. Thirdly, it establishes a little of the nature of his working relationship with Tozer as well. They too are fairly relaxed, open, and cordial with one another (to the point where on my first watch, I actually thought Little called Tozer by his first name). But this scene also sets the precedent of Little supporting Tozer's requests and not sufficiently questioning his motivations...! Lastly, dear Nedward just looks really good! Between this and his E06 fluffy boyband hair, it's clear that - improved working relationship notwithstanding - he's at his healthiest inside and out when he's been as separated from Crozier as humanly possible!

Enjoying the fleeting warmth of the sun on his choochy wee face at the end of E06 I've waxed lyrical about this too, as blink-and-you'll-miss-it a moment as it is, but still it delights me. If ever there was an explorer made of hope, it's Nedward, and if you interpret that moment as I do - as him taking the time to feel the warm sunshine on his face while everyone around him can only resent the fleeting nature of it - it's a moment that perfectly exemplifies his deep-seated hope and optimism.

UPDATE CAUSE I DON'T POST 😭😭

Sooooooo lot of updaatteeesss, I've officially had my first kiss (two weeks ago) And at this point I think I get to see my boyfriend every weekend 😃 which would be absolutely amazing. It's been three months and it's just been getting better and better day by day, he's so sweet and kind and nerdy it's adorable. 🥴 I'm supposed to go to sleep but I'm not tired and haven't told y'all much. I'm reading three books (I can't pick one I'm trading between the 3 😭) and I got into honor ELA! I also got an 100 (and exceeds expectations) on my essay! But don't think I'm smart, I'm an English nerd and that's really the only class I truly care about, I try for the other ones but 🤷‍♀️ Life's getting better for me, I'm with someone that actually makes me feel loved, I've got good grades, still a little stressed with some other stuff but it's definitely better. There's your update my friends! 😃
