Been playing FFXIV recently desperately searching for my cunty lil man :)
I love my tiny little friend who insists I come with him for all of his political negotiations where I just sit and nod and occasionally smack a dude senseless

The actual scales are keratin, and don’t convey much sensation through them, so in that sense, no, they aren’t sensitive. However, touch along the scales can carry through to where they attach to the skin beneath, similar to how a human’s nails don’t really feel much directly, but you can pick up on pressure against the nail in the skin under and around it, and when they catch on something and pull it can be quite intense. How that feeling gets interpreted varies by the individual. Personally, after so much fighting, I’m pretty numb to direct scale contact, but touches along the skin around them can be… nice. Horns are a different matter. We hear via our horns, and the sensation of having them touched can be difficult to convey to other peoples. I’d say gentle strokes and brushes are the most pleasant, and for non au ra I’d liken it to something between how fingers running through your hair feels on your scalp, and ASMR sound therapy. However, it is very easy to press too hard and produce a grating scape — nails on a chalkboard should be a similar thing for the rest of you. Tails are similar to the rest of our scales, in that it’s more about pressure being conveyed to the skin under the scales. However, in the case of our tails, the proximity to a lot of already very sensitive areas, among a few more complex factors, makes all those reactions even more intense. Please regard touching the underside of an au ra’s tail, particularly near the base, to be as intimate as touching someone’s inner thigh.
Au Ra WoLs - are their scales sensitive? Do they like having their horns touched? What about their tails? GIVE US YOUR AU RA LORE PLS

The Dancer's "Zelotupia" is said to be a physical manifestation of a mage's determination. In ages past, mages of eld would detach their more dangerous sentiments, like envy, and give them crystalized form.

Commission for @flarenwrath ! :3
Urianger is transfem in this, having found herself while living with the fae folk in Il Mheg. Thancred is finding himself flustered about it, but begrudgingly agrees to let Urianger help clean up his scruffy, disastrous self anyway 💕

I've felt disappointed with several contest hairs that've made it into the game over the years.
This one in particular? The best way I can describe the difference I see is that the artwork has curls, while the in-game model has waves.
hello! i am here asking you to please consider supporting this forum thread regarding the new to-be-added 7.1 hairstyle, which is most likely from a specific winning entry of the 2023 hairstyle contest where the winner's entry CLEARLY intended for this to be a textured/non-white style that squeenix botched pretty badly. pictures in the first post compare the submitted, winning entry to the in-game screenshots provided in the 7.1 preliminary patch notes, and other posters have pointed out how past hairstyles have proven the intended texturing for this winning entry are completely within squeenix's ability.

In regards to the new hairstyle from the contest being implemented in the game... If Guild Wars 2, a game which launched a year before 2.0 and has not had a single graphics update in that time, can come out with THESE in 2017:

Then I don't think FFXIV has an excuse with what it did with the contest winner. Pulling what I said on the forum post:
Screenshots don't give you the full impact, but in 3D view and inspecting them in game, they DO use the same flat texture method that a lot of hairstyles in FFXIV use, but stacked, rotated and layered on top of one another (note: literally what is done with several shrubs and bushes within FFXIV). Not only that, but on the more styled hairs seen there, the textures are actually different to appear more velvet-esc in regards on how light bounces across the hair (unlike the more defined highlights which can be seen typically in caucasian hair). Literally it's been shown that velvet textures can now be done in game, as shown on several of our new glamours (SCH AF gear for one, having a LOT of velveteen fabric).
So suffice it to say, I am so disappointed.

Valena is openly poly (and lesbian for that matter), but it took her some time to get there. She spent most of A Realm Reborn, and parts of Heavensward, with her interest drifting between multiple attractions and feeling guilty over her "fickleness". The worst was when she found herself falling for Ysayle while still hoping to reunite with Minfilia, then focusing on finding Minfilia while not letting herself properly grieve Ysayle, then feeling like she failed them both on multiple levels.
She wasn't in the head space for relationships during Stormblood, but she grew closer to Lyse and Naago than she was ready to admit, and spending time around the M tribe with Naago definitely planted seeds — the way the Seekers arranged their relationships started her towards accepting that a love divided isn't necessarily a love lessened, that it was okay for her to love more than one person, and she could make that her normal.
She wouldn't be ready to actually take that step until after the First, where she was able to properly let go of Minfilia and forgive herself, but once she got back... well, Ranaa Mihgo actually got her first, and remains on the periphery of her polycule (as does Mikoto Jinba), but her primary partners have been Lyse and Naago ever since.
Lyse and Naago are aware of and accepting of her relationships with Mikoto and Ranaa (and Naago, at least, kinda wants a share of the other two girls sometime); and Mikoto and Ranaa are both okay with not being Val's only partners (Mikoto is comfortable with being a less-active member of a poly relationship, while Ranaa seems to see herself and Val as more of an open FWB situation), though neither is as familiar with who her other partners are as Naago and Lyse. She's also had a handful of encounters with Fordola Lupis, which she has not disclosed to her other partners, and is kind of hoping that just never comes up.
During her time in Tural, she's been a relentless flirt with Yaana, but she's promised herself this time she'll discuss things with her girls before going any further.
Is your WoL polyamorous or strictly monogamous? Or are they simply uninterested in the whole thing?

When Sidurgu Orl was young, his parents bundled him into a cart with meager possessions in order to flee the Garlean Empire. Like many of their race, the Xaela were drawn to the plains of Coerthas and had hoped to adopt the nomadic ways of their people.

You look lonely. I can fix that.
Did I quickly retake this shot because @/naelwynn_xiv told me about a cool trick? Yes. I love you and thank you!
