man, i feel like most of us 'older' shippers either got into ynkk through one of those two or became a loyal fan immediately after,, sundaytimes writes my all time fave characterisation of the boys and the president, well, there's a reason we call her that lol i hope shell eventually continue rogue because an abo fic from her is all i ever wanted in my life !

I remember one of my first YoonKook fics that I read was from one of the more popular authors, and this was at a time when I was going in to fanfic reading for YoonKook with a switch mindset, and I enjoyed the storyline, but didn’t like YoonKook’s relationship which was the whole reason I was there in the first place lmao 

Then I read my first smut, which was top Yoongi, and absolutely hated it. Then I read more top Yoongi fics (because at the time that was all that there was), and figured the YoonKook fandom was not for me and was going to give up reading fanfics entirely (I had tried JiHope, then Namjin, and hated all the fics I found for those pairings so I gave up on them and YoonKook was about to follow xD), but then I came across my first bottom Yoongi fic. 

It wasn’t sundaytimes or wickedqriosity, but I hadnt seen anything bottom Yoongi at all so I had to give it a try. I ended up loving it. It was soft and sweet, and I felt there was more emphasis on them being in love and I just enjoyed everything about it. (this fic is no longer around unfortunately :{ It’s been deleted.)

Sundaytimes was one of the first bottom Yoongi - YoonKook authors I came across that posted frequently, and is still active to this day. (the other authors were Thetrash and Sugashark, but one hasn’t been active in a very long time and the other is on hiatus for personal reasons)

I’m extremely grateful to all the authors I try to rec because without them, I wouldn’t even be in the YoonKook fandom anymore. I would just be shipping them privately without interacting with a fandom. I would have missed out on a lot, and missed out on meeting some of the friends I now have :}

blue flame special, junghope : i love this fic with my whole heart?? i started to read for junghope, but the side ships made me love it even more. it’s kind of sad, really funny, and makes me think a lot about shit i’ve never been in… so. please give this a read! it’s ongoing, and the endgame is iffy tbh– but the author makes the inevitable worth it more and more every update.

skool luv affair, vhope : if me and tae have anything in common, it’s our soft spot for kids! i love kid!fic so much, but it’s hard finding good ones. >

아침은 다시 올 거야, vhope : obviously my all time favorite fics have korean titles? let me just say I LOVE THIS STORY and if the above didnt already seed it’s way into my heart, this would have done it 10x over. it hurt a little bit at times but. fuck… like blue flame special, it just became more and more worth it. amazing series. :)
