An act of mercy. Two characters who love and listen to Eywa's teachings and took them to heart. Two characters who saved the enemy despite not knowing what will happen after. Two characters so alike that their interactions throughout the series will define the narrative. *Squeals* James parelled Spider with a few characters but the act of mercy will have the greatest impact on the story. Nothing happened to Mo'at for showing mercy so why do you think something will happen to Spider? He is protected by Eywa.

Choose me
part 1
Neteyam x human reader
Aonung x human reader
This story will have more endings.Some of them being;choosing Neteyam;choosingAonung......
It will probably have 4 endings.
skxawng (Idiot) Kxetse (sun) tsaheylu (the bond with an ikran or other animals) Mawey (calm,calm down)
Words that look like this are spoken in the na'vi language.
Jakes pov.
The forests of Pandora…Hold many dangers.But the most dangerous thing about Pandora….is that you may grow to love her too much.We sing the song cord to remember.Each beat,a story in our life.A beat for the birth of our son.Neteyam. A beat when we adopted our daughter Kiri.Born of Graces avatar.A daughter whose conception was a totas mystery.A beat for the first communipn with Eywa.The people say we live in Eywa and Eywa lives in us.The great muther holds all her children in her heart.Happiness is simple.But who would have thought a jarhead like me could crak the code?Before i knew it we had 4.When we sent the sky people back to Earth A few of them stayed.Sience guys loyal to the na'vi.
And then there was Spider and y/n.They were just stuck here.Too young for a cryo-capsule.Orphaned by the war they were rased by the lad guys.They werent a part of out family.They were like 2 stray cats.Just always around insaperable from our kids. To Neytiri Spider would always be alien. One of them
(Kiri,Loak,Neteyam,y/n and Spider playing as Neytiri and Jake watch them)
Neytiri:He belongs to his own kind.
This is where the the two of them are different.Neytiri sees y/n as her own.Probably cus when she was young she almost died.And just like Grace she had to pass the test of Eywa.But unlike Grace she did pass…..that is why Neytiri sees her as a part of her own.Being connected to Eywa in a way.
(Loak and Kiri fighting with y/n siting next to Jake as he watches the 2 fight)
Loak:Its mine!I had it first!
Kiri:Why should i let you have it?
It took some years to get used to the language through my thick skull.
Loak:Its mine!
Kiri:Loak you liar.Let me have it!
But now when i hear it might as well be English.
Loak:I hate you!
Kiri:Well i hate you times infinity Loak!Penis face!
Jake:Hey!Hey!That is enough.Dont make me come over there.
(Jake teaching Neteyam how to catch a fish)
Jake:He is ganna come out of there from behind the big rocks.There he is.There you go.Go get it!Yeah!Hey Neteyam the mighty fisherman.Thats a good boy.Wow.Wow that is a big one.
Neteyam:By the rocks , just like you said.
(Jake measuring Neteyam as Kiri,Loak,Spider and y/n watch)
y/n:How tall is he?
Jake:He is …that tall.
Loak:Wow he is tall!
Goes by too fast.Like a dream.
(Jake,Neytiri,Kiri,Loak,Neteyam ,Tuk and y/n taking a photo)
Jake:Come on
Neteyam:Smile skxawng.
Happiness is simple.Like date night.Time away from the kids.
But a thing about happiness…..it can vanish in a hearbeat.A new star in the night sky.It can only mean one thing.Ships.Decelerating.And the sky people returning.
Your pov.
y/n:Tuk! Tuk! Get back here im still not done with it!
I yelled as i was running after Tuk.She wanted me to make her a toy ikran so she could play with it.But before i could finish it Tuk took it and started to run away.
Tuk:I like it just like this!
She yelled looking back at me.
y/n:But Tuk its not finished!
Just as i yelled that Tuk took a sharp turn.Im never going to get her like this.I might be taller then her but she is faster.I stoped running and looked around as i heard someone .
Spider:Hey sis come hire!
It was Spider.As i looked at him i could see him sitting in a tent with Kiri drawing blue stripes on him.I smiled as i started to walk to both of them.
Kiri:Hey y/n.Do you want blue stripes on you as well?
y/n:No thank you.You know i dont like them on me.
Spider:But you would be faster.Like im definetly faster when im blue.
Kiri:You skxawng.
Spider:Seriosly and the animals respect me more.They dont think of me as human.
y/n:Wait your human?
Spider:Ha ha.
Said Spider as he splashed some blue liquid on my face.
Kiri:Hahahah you two are skxawng.
Just then i could hear ikrans and someone blow in the horn.
Tuk:Kiri,Spider,y/n They are comming.The war party is back!Come on!
Yelled Tuk as she came to us and then started to run to the war party after we all got up.
Kiri:Come on.
Said Kiri as we all made our way to the ikrans that just came back.
Tuk:Mom!
Yelled Tuk as Neytiri got off of her ikran.
Neytiri:Tuk Tuk Tuk.
She said hugging Tuk.
Jake:Fall in!
Yelled Jake as Loak got off of his own ikran.Neteyam did as well but he go off of Jakes ikran.
Jake:You are supposed to be spotters.You spot bogeys and call them in.From a distance!
Yelled Jake.I could hear anger in his voice as i got to them and was now standing next to him.
Jake:Does any of that sound familier?Jesus i let you two geniuses fly a mission and you disobay direst orders.
Said Jake as i looked at Neteyam.He was hurt.I took a step towards him and started to look at his injuries.Kiri did the same.
Jake:Kiri , y/n can you go help grandmother with the wounded.
Kiri:My brother is wounded.
Neteyam:Kiri its fine.
Jake:Tuk go with them go.
Said Jake as Kiri sighed and started to walk to grandmothers tent with Tuks hand in hers.I gived one last look at Neteyam as he noded at me to which i turned and started to walk after Tuk and Kiri.
Neteyam:Sir i take full responsibility.
Jake:Yeah you do becauseyour the oldest you gatta act like it.
That was the last thing i heard.Neteyam really needs to stop taking the blame for Loak.I love him but he is stupid a lot of times and Neteyam just needs to take the blame for the stupid things he does.
It did not take long to get to grandmas tent.There were not a lot of warriors in it just 2 well only 1 since one of them was already pached up.Kiri helped Grandma with the last warrior and after a little the man left and Spider and Neteyam came in.
Spider:Yuhu guess who is back.
y/n:Neteyam!
I said as i got up and made my way to him.
Spider:I was looking for«Spider oh dear Eywa i missed you« but okay go to him first.
Said Spider as Kiri started to laugh and pulled Spider to sit next to her.
y/n:You are more hurt then i thought.
Neteyam:I am fine Kxetse.
y/n:How stupid are you.You cant just go to the battlefield.You could have died.
I said as i pulled to the ground and start to look for something to put on his wounds.
Neteyam:Im sorry.I just did not want Loak to get hurt.
He said looking at the ground.
y/n:….Do not be sorry.Im just worried about you.Just try not to be so stupid next time.
Neteyam:So your not mad at me?
He asked as he looked back at me with a big smile.I hit his head and took a seat next to him as i started to pach him up.Grandma started to put somethings on his back as well and not long after Loak came.
Neteyam:Aw.Aw .Aw!
Loak:Owwww want y/n to give you a kiss on the boo boo.
Said Loak as Neteyam hissed at him.
Kiri:I would use Yalnabark.
Grandma:Oh you would?And who is Tsahik?
Kiri:You are Grandma.Move.
Said Kiri as she pushed Loak.
Kiri:You are grandma but yalnabark is better.It stings less.
Said Kiri as grandma started to put more things on Neteyam.
Neteyam:Aw Aww!
y/n:Oh shush Net.
Loak:Mighty worrior.
Said Loak as i looked at him.
y/n:Oh shut it Loak or do you want me to put some on you?
I asked as i raised the small pot in my hand with the medicine I made inside.I am not a healer and the madicine i mahe is pretty bad but Neteyam still lets me put it on him.Even if it makes him feel even worse somethimes.
Loak:No thank you!
Spider:Bro your really scared of the madicine she made hm?
Loak:Spider did you ever try it?It is the worse!
Said Loak as i looked to the ground.I knew he did not want to make me sad but i still felt a little hurt.Spider peted my head as Neteyam looked at me.
Neteyam:Well i think its great.Aw!
Loak:Yeah your a bad lier.
Said Loak as i got up and started to walk to him.
Loak:Oh no dont come to me with that in your hand!
Yelled Loak as he started to run away.
y/n:Oh come back hire you baby!
I yelled as i started to run after him.
Kiri:Stop running!
Loak:But she wants to put that on me!
Kiri:I dont care dont be a baby and let her i can see your a little hurt on your right arm!
y/n:Yeah Loak its going to help.
Loak:Agh fine.
.
.
.
Loak:Aw. Awwwwwwwwww!!
Neteyam:Oww poor you want a kiss on the boo boo?
Asked Neteyam as he was now all pached up and Loak was the one getting pached up.
Loak:Shut it.Y/N im fine stop!
y/n:Hehehe okay okay.
I said as Loak got up.
Spider:Her guys wanna go to the lab?
Kiri:I would love too.
Loak:Yeah i guess just get me out of hire.I dont wanna see that thing ever again.
Said Loak looking at my madicine.
Spider:Sis wanna come with us?
Asked Spider as Kiri and Loak already started to walk out of the tent.
y/n:Oh i would love to but i need to..
I started as i looked at Neteyam.
y/n:I need to finish Tuks toy.
Spider:Oh okay then see you later then.
Said Spider as he walked out.
Neteyam:Finish Tuks toy?
Asked Neteyam with a smile on his face.
y/n:Well i had to say something.
Neteyam:And telling him the truth would not work?
y/n:You know how he gets.If i told him your taking me on a ride he would kill me.
I said as Neteyam started to laugh.
Neteyam:Well your right.So can we go?
y/n:Yes yes lets go.
I said as we both started to walk out of the tent.Grandma went out with Tuk some time ago so noone was in the tent when we left.We were walking for a little bit before we got to the rocks the ikrans were on.Neteyam called his ikran and he was next to us in no time.
y/n:Hey boy.
I said as i peted the ikrans head.
Neteyam:He likes you a lot you know.
y/n:Mhm.
I said as i was still peting his head.Neteyam got up on his ikran and looked down at me.
Neteyam:Come.
He said as he offered me his hand to help me get up.I took his hand and i was on the ikran in to time.
y/n:Why do i have to sit in front of you?
Neteyam:Well if you were taller you would be sitting behind me.But cus your just a little taller then Tuk you have to sit in front of me.
y/n:Ha ha ha.Real funny.
Neteyam:Heh sorry but your more safe this way Kxetse.
y/n:I know i know.Can we go now?
Neteyam:Heh yes yes.Hold here.Dont move around until we are in the air.If you feel strange scared hurt or anything tell me.Dont let go of the saddle and…
y/n:Neteyam.
I said as he looked down at me.
y/n:I get it.Dont worry.
Neteyam:Yeah sorry.
He said as he sighed.He yipped as the ikran started to fly.It was not long before we were up in the air.It was perfect.It was close to eclips and i could already see the stars in the sky.
y/n:Wow.Its beautiful.
Neteyam:Mhm.It really is.
He said as i could feel his gaze on me.
y/n:You are so lucky.You can do this all day.I wish i could.
Neteyam:Mhm i really am lucky.
He said his gaze still on me.
y/n:You think i could get an ikran?
I asked as i looked back at him.It seemed as if he had came out of his day dream world.
Neteyam:Well you cant make tsaheylu.So i dont think it would work. Tsaheylu is very important.
y/n:I know…….i just wish i could.
I said as his arms tightened around me.
Neteyam:Hey i can take you for a ride any time you would like.I do not mind.
y/n:Thank you Net your the best.
Neteyam:You think so?
y/n:Mhm…..the best.
I said as i leaned against him.It was silent for some time.Not him nor me said anything for some time.It was just the sound of the wind and some animals under us.
Neteyam:We should go back.Its getting late……y/n?You good?
y/n:Shut it im trying to sleep.
Neteyam: You are trying to sleep while you are leaning against me?
y/n:Mhm.
I said as i heard a chuckle.
Neteyam:Then rest my Kxetse.
He said.That was the last thing i heard before i went to my dream world.I was woken up by someone talking.
Spider:You took her to fly?With an ikran!?
Neteyam:Spider calm down we dont wanna wake her up do we?
Spider:What ever.Just dont do it again.What if she got hurt.Or worse what if she fell of?
Neteyam:Do not make me think those things.
Spider:Well you need to consider them.
Kiri:Mawey.Let the girl sleep.
I could hear Kiri say as i could hear someone walk out of the tent which i guessed i was in.
Kiri:Neteyam….Be more careful.If you wanna take her out on a date dont let Spider know.
Neteyam:Its not a date!
Kiri:Shhhh.You dont wanna wake your girlfriend up do you?
Neteyam:Kiri!
Kiri:Okay okay i will stop.But you should go rest as well.Mom and dad wanna take you out training tomorrow right.
Neteyam:Yes.Im going.
Kiri:Bye bye lover boy.
Said Kiri as i could hear someone hiss.Im sure it was Neteyam.I felt a small smile on my face.I am not sure if it is cus of their funny talk or maybe cus Kiri teasing Neteyam about us being something and him being so shy about it.

Author's note: Since I am learning how to Tattoo, I kinda wanted to do a fic with a tattoo artist reader. I made up a name for that background character from the na'vi camp scene, he is so fine to me.
Masterlist
You were no scientist, nor in a military rank, you're a tattoo artist. You had got the job of a lifetime by going to Pandora and tattoo some soldiers and others who had wanted some ink on their skin. During your time, you were given your own studio to work and people would come in for a tat. You had tattooed all sorts of skin, both human and na'vi avatar skin.
That time you had met Jake, Grace, Norm, Trudy and Max, they were nice and cool people to around with. When you had no work, you'd be hanging out with them, you and Trudy were buddy buddy with one another, when she'd go to your studio to hang out and gossip, she told you about her relationship with Norm, it was somewhat obvious because of the way they looked at one another.
Everything should of been fine realization had hit everyone involved in this mission. A war had broken out, you really had nothing to do with the mission, but you did not agree with what they were doing to the na'vi, you witnessed when the military had destroyed the Omaticaya's home. Seen the people get hurt, fleeing was awful, what hurt you the most was the children and babies that were in the chaos, it broke your heart and you just like some you had yelled your superior's that they could not do that. They did not listen.
You had helped Trudy get Norm, Grace, and Jake out of the compound, you decided to stay behind with Max so that others didn't suspect. It hurt when you found out about Grace's passing, but you knew that she was at peace, better here then back on earth. During the war, you had been in your studio, praying to whatever deity to keep your friends safe, you weren't a religious person, but you really wished that your friends and the na'vi people won.
They did, but of course war did not have happy endings, Trudy had died, along with a few other na'vis, but they died honorably, like true soldiers. You along with Norm, Max and few others that were loyal to Jake were chosen to stay.
Years had passed, you continued to tattoo as well as help out around the lab with whatever. You also knew Spider, a baby who had been left behind because he was to you, when you found out who his father was, it shocked you at the beginning, but you knew that Spider was not responsible for his father's sins.
When Jake and Neytiri began to have kids, you had been their. During the birthing ceremony, it made you happy seen that your friends and his mate were starting a family. You were also their when both Neteyam and Now Kiri had their first communication with Eywa, it was a beautiful sight to see in your opinion. Later that day you with Norm and Max were with the Sullys, meeting the kids. You were able to hold Neteyam first, he looked just like his mother in your opinion. He was just the sweetest baby. Since then Jake and Neytiri had decided to make you the God Mother of their children, you had never felt so honored in your life.
As the kids grew up, they had take a huge interest on your tattoos, they liked running their little fingers on your ink and they'd ask you questions about them, when you'd draw a new tattoo, they watch you work the whole time. Even though your body had been mainly covered in Tattoos, you began to tattoo flowers about them on your skin. You had tattooed a wildflower for Neteyam, a waterlily for Kiri, then a carnation for Lo'ak, and lastly a daisy who was Tuk. You loved the Sully kids as if they were your own. At first they didn't get why you had tattooed flowers based on them, you told them what each flower from earth meant.
A wildflower meant Strength, a waterlily meant Rebirth, a carnation was for Pure Love and a daisy was of Innocence. They didn't get them at first until later, they were still young. You also checking all your equipment and art supplies, you were shocked to see how much supplies you were given when you got here. You had been thinking of adding more ink to your right arm, it had nothing on it, why not add more. Time had passed now, the kids were older now, during their now teen years, but Tuk was barely seven, she wasn't their yet. That day you had been in your studio working on a piece for one of the avatar's now full na'vi in the camp.
They had asked you for something, anything but it had to look cool, so that was what you were doing, just drawing and painting with some watercolors. Then Spider, Lo'ak, Kiri and Tuk came in into the studio.
"Hey y/n" Tuk was the first one to say. Turning from your work, you smiled widely at them "hey kiddo" you said opening your arms so that you could hug the little girl. Tuk went over to hug you. "Is it just me or did you get bigger?" you asked smiling at Tuk. She only giggled, meanwhile the teens had been looking at the work you had hanging on the wall. Kiri had sat on the tattoo chair and looked into your book of tattoos you already had, that was a thing she normally did. Lo'ak and Spider were discussing about tattoo ideas they wanted.
"What are you working?" Tuk asked, as you sat her on another chair you had nearby "a new piece, someone had asked me if I could make them something." You said as Tuk looked at the work, it was a jackal dog with a headpiece with other accessories which involved the Egyptian symbol of life. "I like it" she said smiling at you "when can you teach me how to tattoo?" Kiri asked, while looking over at you and Tuk. "I mean, I'll have to ask Jake and Neytiri, but you could be my apprentice for starters" you said as you felt Tuk look at our left arms, running her little fingers on the daisy tattoo that had been laying on your forearm, at the end of the other small flowers. She loved looking at the daisy tattoo since it was suppose to be her in a way.
"When will you tattoo us?" Lo'ak asked, walking over at your desk with Spider following behind. "I need parental permission, I've told you may times" you said looking at the boys. "Come on Y/n! We're not on earth" Spider whined. "I don't care, I need the permission of your parents, I won't repeat myself again" you said making both boys roll their eyes. "Besides, what do you want to tattoo on your skin?" you asked, putting your work away on spot for it to dry. "Something cool, like um..." Spider stopped to think. "I'm cool with anything you have" Lo'ak said with a smile.
"This one is pretty, can I have it?" Kiri asked, you went over to see what she was talking about. You saw the page was the old home of the Omatikaya. "I drew that for Neytiri, it was going to be mother's day gift" you said getting their attention. "What's mother's day?" Tuk asked. "Well, It's a human holiday, it a day you thank your mother for doing everything she did for you" you said as Tuk nodded understanding. "Hm, since it's already something for mom, could I get a drawing?" Kiri asked again, making you remember something. "I have something for you."
You said going over to open a drawer and pulled out a binder, looking through the binder you found the picture. You took the picture and handed it to Kiri, who took it and looked at it. It was a picture of spirit tree with smaller woodsprites. "This one was for your mom Grace, I finally got her to let me tattoo her" you smiled at the thought. Remembering you begged Grace to let her tattoo for weeks until she finally agreed. Kiri looked at the picture, almost in tears. "I love it" she said. "It's yours if you want it" you said making her look up at you. "Really?" she asked. "Of course!" you said chuckling at her response. "Can I get a drawing to?" Tuk asked, you then looked back at the binder and looked in it, finding a drawing of a tiger, this tiger was meant for Trudy, but it wouldn't hurt to give it to Tuk. "You can have this one" you said handing the picture to Tuk who took it gladly with a smile. "I want one to!" Lo'ak chimed in followed by Spider. "Me too!"
That whole evening, you and the kids had just been talking about things. Some were about tattoos and how you learned how to tattoo. They always asked about your first tattoo and how it felt, you had pictures of yourself when you were younger with your first tattoo then more of the time process involving tattooing. Later your godchildren to leave, you wished them a goodbye and a goodnight, while Spider hanged around a bit more until eventually going to his room.
The next morning you had been at the studio setting up the equipment, to start Tattooing the na'vi had requested a tattoo. His name was Liam, you had known him during your time on Pandora, you remember tattooing him in his human body. After his body transfer, he wanted to be tattooed allover again, but with different tattoos. He thought that your work was badass, so he had asked you if you could make up with his new set of tattoos. Liam was laying on the bed, as you worked. He wanted the tattoo of on his chest, man was his chest big. When tattooing avatars it took a bit longer since their bodies where bigger.
The whole time, Liam had been asking questions about how long you had been tattooing along other things. You had been sitting on his lap to work better. Liam had also had his hand on your lap, gripping onto your thigh when the pain got to big. He'd also slip in some flirty comments, making you laugh and flirting back. He really is a nice guy in your opinion. "Okay, its done" you said to Liam, then you handed him a mirror you had. He looked at his chest, seen the now purple skin around the black ink. "It's cool, I like it" he said, making you smile. "I'm glad" you said, safety disposed of the needles then applied some cream where the tattoo is and finally placed plastic onto the tattoo to protect it. "Thank again y/n" he said sending you a toothy smile. "Any time Liam" you smiled back at him, feeling your face get hot. "Hey, if you aren't busy later, would you... like to hang out maybe?" he asked shyly, seen his face turn a purple color. "Yeah, I'd like that" you said smiling at his shyness.
After he left, you cleaned and sanitized everything that had been used, putting away your equipment. The kids would be arriving soon around this time. Once the place was clean, you decided to work on your arm tattoo. You got your sketchbook and had began to sketch, at first you had drawn an orchid, but that orchid had turned into a thanator, as you continued to draw the creature, you added some orchids around the animal. After the sketch you began to watercolor the creature black and white, you liked colors but black and white looked better on almost everything.
"Y/n!" Neteyam had entered the room, you looked up from your work and literately jumped from your desk. "Neteyam!" you said walking over to the much taller na'vi and hugged him. You still remembered when he was still a baby, he was now a teenager, considered an adult by the Omaticaya. "How has it been? I haven't seen you in days" you said teasing the boy. "Sorry, just training to be the next Leader, I haven't forgotten about my favorite god mother" he said, making you giggle. "I'm your only god mother Nete" he giggled. "Where the others?" you asked. "Oh, they got into trouble so they weren't allowed to come here and see you" he said giving you a sad smile. You only sighed "it's fine, they're kids after all" you said smiling at him.
"So what are you working on?" he asked looking over at your desk. "Oh, my next tattoo" you said, handing him the sketchbook. He looked at it, with a face full of interest. "Nice, I like it" he said looking over at the other work hanged on walls. "You have really nice work Y/n" He admitted as you smiled at him. "Well, thank you Neteyam" you said making Neteyam look at you "no, like I mean it. Your work is awesome, I've never seen this kinds of things on paper, shit on skin even" he said making you chuckle. "Also, why flowers?" he asked you, looking at your left arm were your flowers had been tattooed. "Well, I love you guys like flowers, I've always liked flowers" you mentioned, looking at the inked flowers. "Do they have any sort of meaning for you to pick those specifically?" he asked, you nodded at his response. "Yeah, I always like the language of flowers." You said facing the forest boy who was now sitting on the tattoo chair.
"For you a picked the wildflower, it means Strength. Kiri I picked a waterlily, which means Rebirth. Lo'ak a carnation which means Pure Love. And Tuk a daisy, meaning Innocence." You said, seen the look of interest in Neteyam's face. "That's cool honestly" he said as you laughed by a thought. "I remember when Lo'ak had asked why flowers" you said, as Neteyam also laughed. "Yeah, but he was like very young" he said.
"Do you ever want to get a tattoo?" you asked out of curiosity. "To be honest yeah, but not just any. I want my tattoo to mean something." He admitted as you thought to yourself. "Well, I could come up with something for you, I'll add whatever you want" you said smiling at the teen. "Really?" he asked, now excitedly. "Duh! I'm the only tattoo artist here." You teased at Neteyam. "Shit, we could start right now" you said getting your sketch book and pencils. You both sat on your desk to talk about the tattoo. The whole time you were drawing while Neteyam added somethings while you drew on the paper.
That whole rest of the day, you and Neteyam had been talking about his idea while you drew them. It was coming out good, you added everything he had been asking. You wanted the tattoo he wanted to be the perfect tattoo for him. "I have to go, it's almost eclipse." He said getting up from the desk. You closed the book and put away your pencils. "Alright" you said pulling him into a tight hug. "Be careful" you said as he had hugged you back and left back home.

Chapter Masterlist
According to the Manawa Wera, when you dance of praise, you need to dance in a ring of flames.
Right in the village of Awa’atlu, children and singers alike sat as they start to prepare for the upcoming celebration.
Just like the Omatikaya Clan, the Reef People held their own celebration that lasted for a week. For the Forest People, they called it the Great Hunt, where they hunt massive migration of talioang for their meat and celebrate it back at their Hometree.
And for the Metkayina, they hunt akula, harvesting its teeth for their knives and other crafts. And days before the celebration, the people had already donned and crafted headdresses for their warriors. The whole clan was in full swing in preparing for the festivities.
And Lo’ak who is already of age had been participating in the ways of the Metkayina Hunt. Leading yours and his teaching at halt. His father is preparing him to hunt by training him for the past few days.
Meanwhile, you rested deep in the mangroves far from the celebration. 20 Feet above ground, you basked in the sunlight, resting among the tall trees. Your feet swayed among the wind as you tried to fix the shawl that came with you. The large feathers and bones that adorned the shawl were broken by the waves, you were never the best weaver but these were special to you.
Your own bonded creature lay 20 feet below you, sleeping peacefully while you bask in the silence.
Someone down below someone had called your name, oh right… the Hunt Festival. Rolling your eyes, you grabbed the wrap and placed it on your own hands.
“Oh! Hello Naru.” A child cooed, down below were Kiri and Tuktirey, siblings of Lo’ak.
They had been polite to you in your first weeks in Awa’atlu. Metkayina children were afraid of you, especially the claws that adorned your hand but Lo’ak siblings knew what it was like for people to see you as an outcast and they placed it upon themselves to not make you feel alone.
And as much as you try to distance yourself at first; keep yourself away from the good life had to offer. You were afraid, afraid that once you cared enough you would lose them too. The threat of the Sky People had scarred you deeply, and everytime you closed your eyes you swore you could see the reflection of your sisters in them.
And even with you being hard-headed and placing a large mountain to cover your feelings, Kiri and Tuk were ready to climb it.
Kiri, who had spent her days alone, being one with Eywa, was willing to learn more about your clan. Kiri, who had an intense connection to Eywa, listened to the beauty of what your homeland had to offer. Befriending one of the most loyal bonded creatures of yours without needing to be forged in flame.
And Tuk who beamed every time she saw you, who listened to you in child-like wonder whenever she asked what it was like in Mahuika. Tuk who is still a child and did not understand the pain that the real world would bring.
With every time you spent with them, your fear was overpowered by a different feeling, a sense of protection.
If you had failed in protecting your loved one once, you would not fail again.
Kiri looked up at you, while you rode the vine down. Jumping right in front of Tuk, scaring the daylights out of the youngest child.
“Hi Tuk.” You smiled. “Kiri.”
“Still fixing your wrap?” Kiri asked and you nodded. “You never told us where that came from? Did a warrior from home offer you those feathers?”
“No one offered me these feathers. I’m capable of hunting pouakai on my own.” You boasted.
If the Omatikaya hunt talioang.
Metkayina and an akula.
Manawa Wera looked for the terror that came in the sky, Pouakai.
These birds were almost the same size as an ikran, coming in flocks. It can carry any na’vi among its claws. Its monstrous appetite had been nothing but a burden to your clan even back in the first songs, and every migration the Manawa Wera hunted it, not with bows and arrows but with rope darts.
Your clan needed to capture it before breaking the creature's neck, and back at your village, you would knife its remains. Bloodied feathers mean that you have failed, therefore you do not kill it with arrows. And after every hunt, your clan celebrated it among the flames. Dancing, eating, and drinking the night away.
You had hunted yours a few years ago; your warriors rested and blended among nature for days, and when these creatures landed upon branches your clan had thrown rope darts in their claws.
You remember one pouakai in particular, it had scoped out your scent, and when it did the pouakai had dragged its claws among your shoulders. Dragging you upwards and leaving you hanging among the sky. Struggling in the air, you almost sliced its claws off but you didn’t want to fail, didn't want to be a disgrace among your warriors.
You had unhooked yourself from its own sharp claws, screaming in pain. Holding onto its feet with all of your strength as it tried to wiggle you off among its grasps. You skillfully throw the rope dart among a large tree trunk, hindering the large bird to fly away from your grasp.
Pulling closer towards the trunk, you tug and tug until the bird is within the other end of the rope. Tying it down and throwing another spare rope dart right into its beak. Your knees were scrapped when you dragged the monstrous being to the ground. When you rode the creature's back, hands right around its neck.
‘Snap!’
With the tell-tale of you breaking the pouakai’s neck, behind you were the cheers of your own clan. A clean and efficient kill.
And now the feathers from it that were woven into your own wrap were ruined, the knife that you had forged in the flame had been lost when you first threatened Lo’ak on your first-ever meeting, and the only thing left that was still intact was the skull you use as head gear protection when riding Naru.
You looked down worriedly at the wrap in your own hands, still reminiscing about your own hunt.
Kiri had been speculating for the past few days, you were probably a warrior back at your own home. You were a closed shell, too hard to pry, and only kept to yourself. Although Kiri very much doubted that you were as hard as clams that would never open up, she was certain that you had opened maybe a tiny bit towards her brother. Especially when you and Lo’ak had spent every passing free time together and never going apart.
“I’m just teaching her and she’s just teaching me… that’s it. We are just friends.” That was it, no further questions and answers were needed when Kiri first pried into what you and Lo’ak were to each other.
For Kiri it was a good thing, at least Lo’ak wasn’t swallowing in self-depreciation or spiraling downward, at least he had someone… right? Whatever you are to each other, whatever this relationship is… Kiri was fine with it as long as her brother was distracted and not running away, this was him coping. (or so Kiri thinks)
Kiri’s thoughts were cut off when you asked; “Why did you call for me?”
“I got a secret! A very good secret~” Tuk sang as she danced around Kiri and you, almost tripping on her own feet.
“Tuk! Shhh.”
Oh! Right… Kiri forgot all about that. Too distracted by other pressing matters when these were two slightly pressing matters, especially if it involves you and a certain na’vi harboring a small admiration towards the Daughter of Ember and the upcoming celebration.
You see, there is a connection as to why Kiri added ‘Did a warrior from home offer you those feathers?’ in her statement earlier. With upcoming Metkayina Hunt Festival, it is a special event for those who were planning to court a na’vi from the clan within; warriors would hunt the strongest akula and claim it as their catch, and the teeth that would be gathered from the catch would be used to fashion materials to make armbands and necklaces. Once they accept it and wear it with pride this would show that their courtship was accepted.
And Kiri and Tuk just happen to know someone who had been not so vocal about their adoration for you. With your first arrival in Awa’atlu, you had gathered the attention of not only their brother, several warriors who were curious about you. You carried yourself confidently, and another factor was that you are a beauty. Of course, they were curious about their former clan’s enemy, call it moths to a flame.
For the other pressing matter, it is connected with the upcoming celebration. Tsireya, who had been nothing but patient and understanding with you, wanted every female na’vi to partake in the ceremonial dance, singing of praise to Eywa and her blessings. Kiri was certain you’d decline.
“Tsireya wanted me to ask you about the celebration…” Trailing off, the three girls walk back to the village where hunters are sharpening their own harpoons, preparing their own satchel or training. Other female na’vi giggled among themselves as they watched warriors prepare for the hunt, yet your gaze never wavered as you faced straight on. Not even realizing the lingering glances you had gathered as soon as you walked in.
Even though you were deemed as an outsider, you accumulated quite the attention of the crowd with only just your presence alone. Kiri almost laughed out loud at the irony.
“No.” Hard-headed as ever you declined without even thinking twice.
“Are you certain that no amount of persuasion could make you join?” Kiri questioned once more. And you nodded, preparing to go back to doing Eywa knows what.
“Even if, let’s say that I and Tsireya helped you weave your wrap back to what it originally looked like. You’d still decline?” You almost snapped your neck when you turned around to face Kiri. Your ears and tail are high-alert, showing signs of interest.
This made you think twice when right behind Kiri you saw the daughter of the Tsahik smiling brightly while she walked towards you. Even with your mediocre weaving skills, you were certain that it would take you ages to make it even as presentable as it was. You were a warrior; not trained to weave or heal.
Right after you were born, your mother had placed you right in front of a mat that held a knife, weaving materials, healing flora, and an instrument. Those were the things that would dictate what role you’d play for the clan.
Knife for warriors.
Weaving materials for weavers.
Healing flora for healers.
An Instrument for singers.
You had crawled right to the knife, almost placing the knife between your teeth.
“You must have convinced her then Kiri?” Tsireya asked, the smaller girl beamed at you. “I wanted to incorporate the Omatikaya and Manawa Wera’s practices for this year’s hunt. It took quite some convincing but I hope you'll join us.”
Oh Tsireya, sweet, sweet Tsireya… who is kind and has the patience as deep as the deepest trenches in handling you. You were not accustomed to it, you were rough around the edges, as harsh as the ocean hitting the cliff sides of Mahuika. Tsireya was as soft and gentle as the waves that kissed Awa’atlu shores.
The three girls were waiting for your answer, expecting you with their biggest pleading stares. One word lingered in your mind, a word that Lo’ak had taught you.
“You will dance with us too?” Tuk asked, her bright eyes looking up at you in wonder. Consider it a final arrow to your own demise, Tuk held onto you. Using her own adorableness to your own demise.
Stuck in a predicament, you sighed in defeat. “Shit.”
“Fine.”
Together, they squealed in glee.

Ive said this before but i rlly hope they improve upon the writing abt the Na'vi's relationships to other lifeforms, esp the fauna, in the next films. It was rly bothersome how little importance was given to creatures like the skimwing and and ilu and even the fish in the reef just bc they were implied to be less sapient than the tulkun. It rlly did feel like the whole "way of water" and idea of unity between Eywa's children was cheapened for the exotic flare but still the same hierarchal notions of "dominion" over the "natural world" and seperation of nature and people was superimposed onto what was supposed to be an alien culture that represented various indigenous wisdom abt the connectedness and sameness of all things.
I rlly didnt like Jake's Skimwing "taming" scene in AWOW bc it exemplified this anti-sameness view the most, and paralleled not only his iknimaya among the Omatikaya but of his domineering attitude toward the ikran ("your mine", "shut up and fly stright"). Jake was furious at embarassing himself in fromt of the (randomly) xenophobic Metkayina men, esp as the acclaimed Toruk Makto, but it also came off as frustration in not being able to naturally dominate a ferocious creature. Like he was upset that he couldnt take command over it. Cuz sure u need physical strength and iron will to position urself to make tsehaylu w a autonomous predator who uve evoked into fight mode. And ofc they had to learn to ride around the village and "be useful" (ok... lol). But we rlly just saw Jake being handed the creature w no information abt the creature's legacy, no myths abt their importance in the culture, and no info abt Jake's quotidian relationship to the Skimwing. It was just mostly "vehicle reserved for warriors". This could eveb be applied to the ilu too bc even tho we saw their personalities more, they were treated as loyal pets akin to water dogs more than individuals and ofc still used primarily as vehicles. The banshee.... goodness they felt like their faces were painted on. Never more expresive or sentient than airplanes.
I think theres so much more seriousness that can be applied to the spiritrual messages Cameron and the writers are trying to depict. The Na'vi clearly express their respects to other lifeforms beyond the sentient and sapient. So the creatures we see, many if whom yet to be named or described, can be more than props to the spectacle, and individuals in their own right while still serving the story, I think.
#seeing gifs of jakes skimwing scene again and its just so frustrating.... dncnkdxkkdkx#even the reef spectacle scenes... ud think wed hear the kids ask abt what they saw#oel.mine#avatar 2#avatar the way of water#avatar film#avatar way of water#james cameron avatar#flora and fauna#skimwing#banshee#ikran

What’s their sexuality? What do they find attractive? Physically and mentally? What do they like/need in a relationship?
Are they religious? What do they think of religion? What do they think of religious people? What do they think of non religious people?
Super detailed questions about your OCs (accepting) ᠂ ⚘ ˚
What’s their sexuality? What do they find attractive? Physically and mentally? What do they like/need in a relationship?
Bri is gray on the ace spectrum and thus rarely experiences attraction. However, she tends to be attracted to more “masculine men” who could complement her femininity as a valued counterpart. Mentally, she wants someone who can protect her, emotionally support her (not financially, as Brianne is likely to make more money), and who understands or tries to understand her. Someone loyal. Someone who wants her for her and not her money. Someone not obsessed with themselves (egotistical) or their appearance or goals or wealth. Unsurprisingly, I’ve never written about what physically attracts her most likely because it is less important than emotional attraction. But it seems true to her want for a gender counterpart, men who are more masculine (muscular arms are a thing) and who are rugged or tough attract her most. On a related note, she is not attracted to men who remind her of her suit father, which might explain why she never finds someone who catches her eye in her work life. I would not say she has "daddy issues" but rather assumes a type of untrustworthy man he reflects and does not want that replicated in her life. In a relationship, she desires someone who can be gentle for her. Someone who helps her slow down. A partner who can value her tending to them too because acts of service are one of her primary love languages. Someone who she can sit in comfortable silence with on a balcony. Someone she can share mundane tasks with like cooking and cleaning. This is to say, she values shared time over overly romantic gestures. It’s also important that her special person would want to start a family with her someday. Bri is traditional, idealistic, definitely too busy with work to search, and doesn't feel attraction easily, thus she lives a single life.
Are they religious? What do they think of religion? What do they think of religious people? What do they think of non religious people?
Bri is a non-believer/atheist who trusts in science. She believes you do not have to respect someone’s religious beliefs, but rather respect their right to have them. Religion is not a consideration in her everyday life and is usually only encountered in antiquated holiday traditions. As far as verse specifics, even when confronted with the inexplicableness of Eywa, Brianne trusts her scientists may someday find the answer to explain all of Pandora’s phenomena. She is comfortable living with the unexplained, however, and with others' beliefs as long as they do not impose them on her. I (and we!) need to consider more about how this filters into her future family life living among the Metkayina, but for sure she avoids communicating with Eywa because she does not count herself among her children. And yeah, it scares her.

New characters for FTNADOL
Because I need to get my own head on straight, and I thought you guys would appreciate an information post for reference.
Ninat
clan singer, handles the chants and songs for all sorts of ceremonies. she has a good relationship with the great mother, which usually manifests in the tingling of her lips.
she was good friends with both sylwanin and tsu'tey, often following two steps behind when they were children.
she is kind, but can be very shy. to the point that she will stay silent during an entire conversation, happy to let others come forward and speak for her. however, get her singing and she will not shut up.
she has had a thing for moe, a healer, and hopes to mate with him when they are both ready and comfortable.
Peyral
a fearsome hunter, she doesn't take any shit from anyone. which can make her seem very blunt and crass, when really she is very caring and kind.
she doesn't particularly like children, but she does tolerate them as it is the role of the village to raise them in the eyes of eywa.
she was good friends with tsu'tey, and at one point had envisioned her mating him. that was before he was promised to sylwanin.
she distanced herself from neytiri when her best friend died, hating how much she reminded her of what she lost. but she is willing to mend the relationship that has begun to crumble.
Tarsem
a warrior and loyal member of the Omaticayan clan, tarsem is often seen at the edge of the activities within hometree. he's cautious of his strength, but fierce in the protection of his family.
the eldest of three brothers, he had to handle rowdy children from a young age. it is why most of the village children listen to him and not the other elders.
he is one of the main hunters in the clan (alongside Peyral) and often has a trail of admirers (children) following along behind him.
still attempting to heal from the loss of one of his brothers, he can take a long time to trust someone. however, a select few have his utmost loyalty, and one day he will become a person fit for taking the mantle of olo'eyktan.
Ikeyni
olo'eyktan of the tayrangi clan (ikran riders of the eastern sea) she is a fearsome fighter and a strict leader. she has to be, as the environment they reside in is as dangerous as its inhabitants.
her mate tsentey is the calm to her storm, steady and sure in himself so that his partner can lead as she needs. due to the structure of their clan, she is olo'eyktan and tsahik in one, tending to every need that arises. it makes for a high strung woman who finds humour in poking fun at others.
they had no children, nor do they have want for them as ikeyni supposes (and knows) she would be a terrible parent. not due to the fact that her sister's children managed to escape her care when she'd been tasked with watching over them.
Akwey
olo'eyktan of the orangi clan (horse clan of the plains) he is a steadfast and wise leader. when his clan was decimated by the great battle, he saw to it to amalgamate his people with those of the smaller clans of the jungle, offering them supplies in return for people.
beside his mate, Raka, they lead together with a steadfast grip, alongside their seven toddlers. all orphans of the great battle. jake has yet to find out their secret to raising so many children.
wise and stately, he doesn't take any shit from the other clan leaders, and is considered the wisest out of ikeyni and jake. he is able to temper her attitude and crassness, and give advice when he becomes too overwhelmed by the role shoved onto them.
I will add more as the story continues and grows, but that is the gist of these characters.
(and yes, this was an excuse to get my many headcanons down on 'paper')
#ftnadol#avatar the way of water#lottie writes fanfic#lottie does headcanons#they're not so much as ocs#more filled in characters left by the wayside#i'm picking up strays here what can i say

“She does” he mumbles before looking at y/n’s aunt and mother “we should go” he said nodding his head for them to follow him as he wrapped his arm around y/n’s Tyrion was waiting outside and when he saw y/n he smiled “you truly are something y/n” he said kiss her hand “Thank you” she said before looking at Tywin
The six of them then stood outside the ballroom door “I introduce king Tywin Lannister also known as Lord of Casterly Rock Shield of Lannisport Warden of the West Hand of the King Savior of the City Lord Paramount of the Westerlands and his lady wife Queen y/n Lannister and tsakarem of the Omatikaya clan, slayer of dragons, protector of the pandor lands, the Targaryen slayer, and the will of eywa along with their sons Jamie Lannister Kingslayer The Lion of Lannister The golden man The Young Lion Goldenhand and Tyrion Lannister the Master of Coin and Imp of Casterly Rock and Mo’at the mother of Queen y/n along with her sister Fyepo aunt to Queen y/n” the young boy called out as they walked in
“Robert” Tywin said “you dare disrespect me by calling yourself a king” Robert said “but I am a king my lady wife is the clan leader making her a queen and well I married her so” Tywin explained “is that my mother’s necklace” Cersei said walking towards y/n only to be stopped by Tywin “don’t it was a gift from me” he said
“You gifted a whore my mother’s necklace and title” Cersei yelled making y/n stand in front of her staring the girl down Cersei goes to stop her only for Jamie to grab her arm “do not try to hurt my mother Cersei or else” he said shocking everyone in the room
Tyrion then walked up to Cersei and Jamie “or else what” she asked tyrion then smirk “or we’ll tell Robert of you secret” he said “you won’t” she said looking at Jamie “I would” he said staring her down Cersei then pulled her arm away from Jamie and looked at her husband
“Claiming to be a king in front of you is treason” she told him “it is if one is not a king or is claiming your throne but I am a king and i am not claiming your throne” Tywin said “the world my wife is Queen of is a different plane one that you did not know of” he added
Tywin then took his hand pin and threw it at Robert’s feet “take it I will not hand to a king who runs from a war he started” he said “you would give up you’re title just for a common whore and her people you would dishonor you and your house” Robert asked
“If it means I would better then you you drunken bastard and do not speak of my wife like that or I will have your tongue” Tywin said “you dare threaten the king” Robert said “I do not make threats I make promises” Tywin said
A kings guards then stepped up drawing his sword making Jamie draw his “I wouldn’t do that if I was you” he said putting the tip of his sword to the man’s throat y/n then walked up to Jamie and put her hand on his shoulder “calm” she said before looking at Robert
“We’ve not come here to start a war we’ve come to show you we are not to be messed with” y/n said “how do you plan to show us that” Cersei said Tywin then looked at y/n nodding his head smiling y/n nodded her head back
Tywin the called for I/n who dragged in one of the dragon’s head “I killed one dragon with three arrows while flying killing you would be as easy as eating a pie” y/n said “now if you don’t mind I would like to take my mother in law to the garden” Tywin said back
Once at the garden Tywin walked off with Mo’at and her sister as y/n sat on the bench closing her eyes after a while her ears twitched letting her know someone is near her tail then wrapped around the person’s neck squeezing it
“You shouldn’t sneak up on me” she says eyes still closed the man then spoke up “I-I mean no harm” he said “doesn’t seem that way” she looking at the man “who are you” she added “ I am Lord Petyr Baelish and I’ve only came to help” he said
“I do not need your help” y/n said unwrapping her tail from around his neck “your help will do nothing lord petyr ” she added “ please call me little finger and I think you do need my help Queen Cersei is very dangerous” he said “and yet you’re trying to betray her” she said standing up
Petyr then grabbed her arm making y/n push him down and slam his head into the bench breaking it “just because I do not like the girl doesn’t mean I would go as low as having someone spy on her” she hissed Tywin then walked up “what’s going on” he asked
“He was trying to betray Cersei” y/n said “what you dare try to hurt my daughter” Tywin said “you do not care for the girl” petyr said “she is my daughter and a Lannister no matter how she acts she is my blood and I will not have you threaten that” Tywin said
Tywin then grabbed petyr a hunting knife close to him neck “one reason is all I need” he said before letting him go and kicking him in the stomach “don’t touch my wife” he add before walking off with a giggling y/n “what’s funny” Tywin asked “you’ve just been calling me that a lot
“Well you are my wife and I can’t sleep I can’t eat I can’t do anything but think about you At night I dream of you all day I wait to see you and when I do see you my heart turns over and I think I will faint with desire I would do anything for you” Tywin said hugging y/n putting his face into her chest “even go through eywa and ever god there is” y/n asked Tywin then got on his knee bring her hand up to his mouth “my love I would give up every god i believe in abs then go through eywa and back for you”

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐬
- a new family has arrived on the metkayina lands, facing grief, responsibility and her connection with Eywa. Renaia catches the attention of the eldest sully boy, is she ready for it.
This story contains - slight heartache, swearing, mentions of death. Slow burn but not really if you look closely.
Word count - 4K words I think or more.
Part 2
I’m making a part two to this but this was just how they met and a little background on the reader, I’ve also given you guys a name because the story feels more complete when the character has a name, but feel free to let me know if this doesn’t sound like neteyam. Might’ve indulged a bit I guess.
Anyways do enjoy x
Being reclusive was a prominent trait of yours, preferring the serene sounds of the water clashing against the sand while boaring a heavy oddity towards being around others.
You were an outcast to a lot of the village, always wandering off alone. Never really speaking because you never felt the need to, solitude was something you found importance in. In order to grow with your surroundings, to gain a deeper connection with eywa and your ancestors. You always felt different from the rest.
As a young girl your first feeling of grief that drew you into your reclusive personality, happened when you were around the age of 8, the only friend who truly saw you. Was killed, during the marine biologist's hunt for the tulkun. Weapons of mass destruction and large explosives were amplified and being used against your spirit brothers and sisters.
Manisa, a beautiful girl with a heart as mighty as eywas wrath, she was an unstoppable force but despite these traits she was kind, loyal to the metkayina. Loving and most importantly, my sister by fate.
In desperation to help the tulkun, her 12 year old self snuck off during dawn. Riding past the reef and further out to sea. She was fearless and in an attempt to save her very own spirit sister, she was shot. Left for dead at the bottom of the sea where my father, the olo’eyktan of our village. Found her lifeless body, her soul returning to eywa where her spirit would know peace.
Your chest tightened and your heart cracked when you were watching her body being cradled as she returned back to the our ancestors, sinking further and further into the ocean floor.
That night you climbed the highest tree you could find in a desperate attempt to get away from the memory of manisa. although your limbs were growing weaker, used to the tides rather than the vines of the forest behind the village. you couldn’t bring yourself to feel anything but determination.
Resting idly on a branch that stuck out more than the rest, giving you a clear view of the village miles beneath you and more liberty to gaze at the other islands.
You took in account every star in the dark blue sky that night, every ring around the planets surrounding your own. Standing on your two feet, steadily balancing yourself with a huff.
Then you saw it, the shooting star. It held a kaleidoscopic of flashing colours, the vibrancy bringing a comfort into your life, you felt the warmth in your heart grow as if Eywa was speaking to you herself. It was a sign of hope, to preservere and in spite of manisa being welcomed by the ancestors. She was still there, in spirit and around you.
You’ve grown since then, now at a peak in your adolescence. You’ve found a love for the children of the tribe, aiding the new mothers of the metkayina village or supporting them by caring for their infants.
Although you were young, you were experienced. Having been taught by your mother, the tsahik of the metkayina people to heal and to nurture.
In spite of your sister tsireya being the eldest, she found her passion in the water. Not paying much attention to the teachings of mother, it was heavily disapproved by your mother and father. You were always in tsireyas shadow, what she could do you couldn’t do as good, she was a treasure to your father. She was perfect in the eyes of the village, compassionate, beautiful and the next tsahik by right.
“What is wrong, Rini. Speak to me” I released tenderly towards the young child before me, her innocent eyes staring off into the distance. Her head turned my way making the small beaded braids on her head sway.
She shuffled to my side, not uttering a single word. Her small hands attempting to wrap around me, without a reply to my question Rini proceeded to tuck herself under my shoulder, She often did that when she didn’t feel the strength to speak. So out of pure feeling. I lifted my hand, patting her head in the process.
“Whatever it is, sweet child-“ you tapped lightly against the placement of her heart “this is all that matters, strong like the tulkun but soft like the ilu. Unlike me, my heart is feeble like the sand, that’s why I need you to keep me up don’t I” in an attempt to cheer her up, rini smiled up at you, her fangs slowly developing to full sized teeth.
“Because you are weak” she mumbled under her breath, I caught a glimpse of the smile peeking through her facade.
Your hand reached for your own heart, feigning surprise.
“Weak? Me? How dare you” you tapped her head a little, lips jutted down into a pout.
Rini giggled but stayed adamant “yes very weak like a baby” she mimicked the cries of an infant, falling onto her back.
“Like you then? You are a baby” you joked, standing on your two feet with a pointed look.
Rini shoot up from the ground, stamping her feet onto the ground “I’m a big girl, bigger than you”
A smile fought against my cheeks as you tapped your chin with a curiosity dawning in your eyes “well, a big girl can catch other big girls. If you are, catching me would be very easy for you”
Rini gained a mischievous look, her six year old build towering as high as it could, puffing her chest with pride “easy” she promised.
Next thing you know You're jogging through the village, Rini struggling behind you as she shouts incoherent promises that she’d catch you.
“This is no challenge” you teased making the younger girl huff, pushing her little legs as fast as they could go.
Just before you, Aonung, your brother had appeared alongside rotxo, running towards the beach in a hurry. You paused, watching them join a group of villagers piling by the entrance of the metkayina lands. Then you heard it, the putatara.
A warning call spreads throughout the village, halting both yours and the younger metkayina girl in your tracks. Rini looks at you with fear in her eyes. After all, she was a child. So you did what you usually do to comfort her, reaching for her hand and squeezing it ever so gently.
You were the tsahiks daughter and it was of great importance for you to be by your family in a moment like this.
As you drew closer, Rini closely stood behind you whilst strengthening her hold on your hand as a reminder she was still here. You managed to make out the figures standing ahead of you, you weren’t generously tall but you were lengthy enough to see the family that had just arrived.
Gently pushing through the crowd until you reached behind your mother and father, your mother was the first to notice your presence, choosing not to speak, just moving silently for you to stand near your siblings.
“Come here child” your mother called, whisking Rini away from you.
The tsahik shot you a look, a demanding one. To stand beside your brother and sister, you complied obidiently, except as you turned around to face the family. Head bowed in hopes to not garner too much attention. You felt a pair of eyes shift your way, almost burning holes into your skull.
“Where were you” you heard your brother aonung whisper in your ear, looking up at him you scowled “none of your business” Aonung squinted his eyes before he rolls them back.
“Don’t do that you’ll scare yourself seeing how small your brain is” you retorted, rotxo standing beside your brother sniffled a laugh.
“it looks like tsireyas not the only one who’s got those forest boys' attention '' Rotxo announced under his breath, moving the attention away from you, making both Aonung and I look at him with question.
You followed his gaze meeting a pair of chartreuse eyes staring right back at you, his little brother so it seems couldn’t take his eyes of tsireya.
But this one had his eyes on you, your own grew wider before you relaxed yourself again and drew back from noticing it. You were not going to falter in your path for a boy you’ve just met.
He seemed to be the eldest out of the pair, holding himself strongly beside his brother. He was wearing an ionar and it made sense with the ikran he had standing behind him and his family, he was an Ikrana maktoyü. You knew this as you’ve ventured far and wide on your own, often visiting different islands and people.
He was tall in height, braided hair falling against his back and the stance he had was one of protection. He was putting himself in front of what could possibly end up in a fight between clans, standing just a few inches ahead of his brother, he stood out from the rest. I knew from the look in his eyes he meant well, he also lifted the burden of responsibility placed on him at a young age. You knew because you had the same. He was moulded by knowledge and knew right from wrong by the looks of it.
“My children will teach yours the way of the metkayina people during your stay”
Oh shit.
Before you could step in to say something Aonung placed a hand infront of you, stopping you. You shoved his hand off of your chest, daring him to do it again, “mother will have your head if you embarrass her” he spoke slowly, this made me stop. One thing I hated was being the fuel to my mothers disappointment. Oftentimes I was and today I wasn’t feeling like starting the fire.
Neteyam watched as you struggled to accept the news, wanting to do anything but that. He felt a tug in his heart when he first laid eyes on you, seeing the way you brought the child with you, reassuring her with nothing but your eyes. The way you walked before your family with a mind of your own.
To say he was interested was an understatement.
“This here is Aonung, our oldest,” he pointed towards Aonung who was already glaring at the younger brother, neteyam seemed uneasy by it, his eyes slicing from me to Aonung with a fiery look.
“Tsireya, our daughter” your father pointed to tsireya, whom you were standing behind. Tsireya lifted her hand, waving gently with a bright smile. Your beautiful sister.
Then he moved the attention on to you “and this is Renaia”
You meet gazes with the eldest boy again, he examined you from head to toe. Engraving your entire self into his mind with a single glance, you knew this wasn’t going to be easy.
Lo’ak nudged his brother with a cheeky grin, gaining nothing but a slap at the back of the head by neteyam.
My father announced for the people and the family “Ronal and I will show you where you will stay while with us, Jake sully.”
And just like that, you walked towards your mother as the crowd dissipated. Latching on to Rini and lifting her away.
Ronal gave you a stern look “if any of these children are hurt, I expect you to take care of it. You know the ways better than your sister therefore you are responsible if any of these newcomers are injured”
Your mother isn’t always like this, she was a kind woman, compassionate and caring. Except being the tsahik came with its highs and lows, having a mother who was the tsahik was a different story. She loved you but she was very strict with her approach, in order for you to learn, she was hard on you. You had to remind yourself she was doing it out of love but oftentimes it was impossible.
Tsireya, Aonung and rotxo jumped into the water to start immediately with the new arrivals. Swimming in front of their Kelku (home) to wait for them to come out for their first lesson.
You, on the other hand, left the beach with rini. Returning her to her parents for the time being “did you see the little girl? Tell me you seen her. I wonder if she wants to be friends, do you think she wants to be friends with me??” Rini rambled continuously, finally taking a breath of pause. She gasped for air before rambling again.
Your ears flicked back and a smile dawned on your lips, stretching out your cheeks “I saw her alright, I just know she wants to be best friends with you.” I tapped my chin in thought again, something I often did with Rini.
“I’ll make you a deal” she perked up
“If you let me braid your hair, I’ll ask the little girl if she wants a new friend; by the name of Rini” Rini squealed, grabbing your forearm in her small hands. She loved when you braided her hair so this deal was nothing to her, she’d get the best of both worlds.
Before you could set the girl down by her kelku, you felt a heavy wave of anger wash over you “Renaia” your mothers voice echoed throughout the village, “you are meant to be helping your brother, what are you doing here with Rini”
You jutted your head in the direction of Rinis home, the small child latched onto your leg in an attempt to hug you, running off into the distance away from you two.
You stood strongly, knowing you weren’t here for any bad reason. “I was just making sure Rini got home safely, you know how clumsy she is mother.” Your heart was always a weakness, is what your brother often reminded you of. Your heart was too empathetic, too kind, too caring. It was too much.
Your mother sighed, placing a hand on your shoulder “one day, your disobedience will get you in trouble. I tell you one thing and you go do the opposite, the quicker you start becoming aware the faster you’ll learn.” She lectured, you knew she meant well but she never failed to make you feel dumb.
You had a good reason too.
After being lectured for nearly an hour in front of some of the villagers, you had arrived at the edge of the beach. Diving into the water to meet your brother and sister, “Follow us, it’ll be fun” you heard tsireya say, you slid under the water. Making sure there was no splash. You dove as deep as you could before popping out and scaring Rotxo.
“Shit” you heard a huff of surprise, the youngest brother held a hand to his chest. Eyes wide as they landed on your soaked figure “how long were you down there for?” He asked, perplexed.
Longer than you know”
The eldest of them both came out of the water, gasping for air. You giggled a little, finding entertainment in it, “Lo’ak, my name is Lo’ak and this is my brother-“ he was shortly cut off by the eldest “neteyam” he said, his voice sending shivers down your spine.
“Sorry about my skxawng brother, he’s very curious about things” neteyam said, voice laced with his own curiosity as his gaze settled on you “and you aren’t curious about things?” You questioned, still having distance between them and yourself. You stayed silent, waiting on his answer.
Neteyam didn’t know how to reply, for the first time in his life he couldn’t come up with some intelligent, well thought out excuse instead, he spoke before thinking “I’ve never been more curious than now” he exposed, you couldn’t tell what he meant, his tone and his gaze signifying something completely different. You confirmed by the look Lo’ak shot him, that same cheeky grin he had before.
“Oh yeah? We all know what you're curious about?” Lo’ak teased, he was too busy fluttering around like a child to notice the glare coming from Aonung.
“That’s enough forest boy, do you want to learn or do you want to drown? Your choice” Aonung threatened the pair, aiming mostly towards lo’ak, two more began swimming towards us and I took notice of them being the younger sisters.
“Neteyam, Lo’ak” the young girl yelled, her screeching voice alerting all of us. Neteyam, out of instinct. Swam towards tuk, placing her on his back so it would be easier for her in the water. Neteyam, couldn’t help but look at you. There was something to it, you didn’t just hold your beauty on the outside, you held it on the inside as well. He needed to know more.
The loving and warm gaze you shot Tuk was comforting to him and he didn’t understand why.
“This is Tuk, the baby of our family” neteyam introduced, gazing up at Tuk with adoration in his eyes. “Hi Tuk,” you all greeted, Aonung grumbled it under his breath, showcasing his displeasure.
Tsireya then spoke up “the first thing about the water, that you must learn is that breathing plays an important part, every living being breathes. We’ve seen how long you guys can hold your breath so now we must teach you how to do it, properly.” She then took a decent breath of her own, waving for them to join her moving forward under the water. Rotxo latched onto kiri, pulling her down under the water.
Lo’ak shrugged his shoulder, showcasing a piece sign motion. Or you assumed it was a piece sign.
“Your very pretty” Tuk spoke up earning a hiss from neteyam, your cheeks were starting to hurt with the amount of times you smiled, you were only really like this with the children of the village. Having a soft spot for them.
But the more neteyam spectated the interaction between you and his youngest sister, he too couldn’t help but smile.
“Not prettier than you Tuk, you are the prettiest girl here” you complimented, tuks lips thinned, trying her best not to smile. You looked down upon Neteyam before speaking.
“Follow me, I’ll show you where we're going” you kept it simple and short.
Quickly diving under the water, you began swimming. Glancing behind you in search of the two omaticaya villagers, yet the further you swam. The slower they got, huffing under the water before remembering your mothers words.
“They are your responsibility”
Despite that, the moment you turned around was not because of her words ringing through your ears, it was purely out of concern. Tuk was immersed in the water, neteyam learning quickly but you knew it would take a while to get to the rocks if this was how they swam.
neteyam already had his eyes locked on you, almost like he knew you needed to say something. You pointed to the surface, signing ‘we’ll take some air and I’ll lead you the rest of the way” Neteyam only shot you a confused look, you kept pointing for him to swim up.
He grabbed tuk, swimming to the surface.
He gasped for air again, his braids falling elegantly infront of his face before they were pushed away “what’s wrong” he asked, voice laced with worry.
“It’ll take us too long to get there if we continue swimming like this, I’ll take Tuk on my back and you can hold-“ you gently grabbed his hand, the softness of his palms escalated the beat of your heart.
“Here” he was quick to latch on to your shoulder, stammering in his response, his grip was secure. He couldn’t seem to look at you for long before gazing at the sky again.
Tuk wrapped her slender arms around your neck, diving once more into the open water.
You’ve always loved the sea, holding it dear to your heart. The water to you was like speaking to eywa, it was a connection. An entirely different aspect of the world around you and above you, when you swam you felt grounded, controlling your breathing was another form of connection to your people. It was the first thing many of you learnt as children, if you had control over your breathing, you could always find peace.
You swam further into the ocean, you were quick. Neteyam noted, very swift. It was almost as if you had been born from the water, you did it without effort, weaving through the floating seaweed and masses of rocks like that of a dolphin.
He couldn’t help but admire your skill.
Arriving at the rocks granted you space from the eldest brother, that entire time consisted of you holding back from slapping his hand away out of fear of what could be, you didn’t want to feed into your own delusions.
Your brother was right, your heart was weak.
“Just sit on those rocks over there” you muttered under your breath, wanting to escape the area. far from the visitors, “are you not staying?” neteyam asked, eyeing you with hope glimmering in his eyes. Or so you’d wished.
Tsireya perched in her spot, “she is staying,” she said, more so an order than a question.
Aonung shook his head, earning another laugh from rotxo who shot you a look of stupidity, reflecting his stupid self. You’ve known rotxo since you were children, he was always there. Always around, it was to the point you had even asked if aonung and rotxo were mates.
Rotxo fed into it, Aonung not so much.
“Renaia would rather swim with the fish and talk to the rocks” Rotxo joked, I lifted my hand out of the water and pointed it at him “Talking to you is like talking to a rock, only difference is the rocks smarter” Rotxo shot you a glare but that didn’t stop the others from laughing.
You lifted yourself from the water, flicking your hair back off of your shoulder. You had two thick braids circling your head, while the rest of your curls were left to silk down your back. A few loose strands hung from the crown of your head.
Neteyam was in awe, his mouth hanging as he tried to compose himself. Tuk giggled watching her elder brother panic under your presence, everyone noticed except you.
“Breathing is a life form, breathing gives you life and takes away that very same essence. You breathe from here,-“ she huffed in a breath, holding her chest with one arm “and here” moving the other to her stomach.
“In order to be one with the people you must learn how to control your breathing, it’s one of the most important parts of being metkayina. If you have control over your breathing, you have control over your life.” Rotxo finished.
All of them copied Rotxo and Tsireyas movements, Lo’ak whom was sitting by tsireya struggled to adjust to new knowledge. This made you curious as to how neteyam was adjusting, you could tell he was a quick learner but being the eldest he’d still carry past teachings with him, very dearly.
The rest were all too busy helping the others, glancing towards neteyam who sat cross legged on the rocks. Eyes closed, his eyebrow bone knotted together in frustration, you could immediately tell he didn’t know what he was doing.
You reached out to him, not uttering a single word as you placed your hand on his chest. His eyes shot open, wide and big in shock. His breathing rapidly escalated at the touch of your hand, you go to remove it but stop when his hand grasps your wrist.
“No it’s okay, I’m sorry for scaring you” Neteyam held a gentle look on his features, guiding your hand back to his chest “there’s only one way I’m gonna learn, go ahead” he consented, acknowledging you.
You pushed the emotion rising within you to the far back of your mind, you trained yourself how to not show emotion at a young age. This was a walk in the park.
Your smile faded, eyes rested, there was no sign of emotion in your face but the eyes speak for the soul and Neteyam was no fool.
“Breath in from here” you held his chest, tapping it with your middle finger, reaching your other hand over and placing it on his stomach “then you breathe out from here”
You breathed out from your own stomach, showing him how to do it. He mimicked you, not once breaking your gaze. His stare was strong, powerful. He was very relentless but you could see he didn’t mean evil.
I felt pulled to him, feeling no need to break the tension, I found myself wanting to drown in it. In his warm forest eyes, his gentle smile. But you barely knew the boy and you’d be damned if you’d gotten caught showing attraction for someone you’d just met a few hours ago.
After multiple attempts, you finally broke his gaze. Coughing slightly from the lack of air you took, although you were used to holding your breath, this somehow felt different.
“Good” you hummed, removing your skin from his. Then turning around to watch as Lo’ak fell prey to his feelings, he seemed to be the rebellious one. The way he held himself was awfully similar to the free spirited tulkun.
“Your heart rate is fast.” Tsireya teased, Lo’ak quickly glanced her way before lowering his gaze again “yeah sorry”
It seems like these boys apologise a lot.
After hours of teaching them how to breathe it was time to return, you had disappeared before the group could notice. It was a nightly ritual for you to go sit on that same branch and fall in love with the stars all over again.
You could see them from where you hid, choosing the spot just before the large bush of leaves to keep yourself hidden. Not even your own family knew of this place, thinking that you’d been out swimming every night since Manisa's death.
You had healed from that, as you looked upon the islands. Watching the water cascade with the tides, when they pulled back you’d imagine the hurt you’ve endured being pulled with it. Washing away your fears, your pung (hurt).
It was always beautiful sitting on top of the tree, weaving through the vines and gaining your balance rather easily now, you’ve endured so much but spoke so little of it. It was your responsibility to help, it was your job to uphold the honour of the olo’eyktan, everyday was a chore for you when all you wanted to do was be free spirited, one with eywa.
You could feel her presence in everything, you could hear her voice in the trees as they swayed. Eywa was always there, around you, above you and infront of you.
With your eyes closed, ears perked. You began listening to her, her heartbeat was mighty. Breathing in and out to the rhythm of the beat, it was a gift being so close to her, to the all mighty power of eywa. Your chest felt full, like her solace had been placed into your heart.
You’d rather be anything but who you were, Eywa has taught you that it’s not you who is deceitful it’s the people who convince you so.
The crunch of branches alerted you, you sat up quickly. Searching around for the intruder. You had a knife strapped to your thigh. It came in use during hunting, but this time it wasn’t going to be used for such a thing, before you could register the voice being used. You shot around, grabbing the intruder by their chest, pushing them into the tree swiftly with a knife against their throat.
“I didn’t mean to scare you” Neteyam choked, your breathing harsh against his as you dropped the knife onto the forest floor. Watching it drop further and further, “what are you doing up here?” You asked, more annoyed than shocked.
“My father told me and my idiot little brother that we can go exploring, I wanted to feel more at home so I came here” he truthfully spoke, “you could have died if I didn’t realise it was you”
Neteyams brow lifted in question “I don’t doubt your skill but I’m sure I would have been fine” he laughed. Of course, he was the son of olo’eyktan too, by the looks of it he’d already been trained in the ways.
You granted him no reply, sitting back down on the branch, remaining what you came here to do. The boy had no clue as to what that was, so he sat next to you, thigh touching yours. His shade creates a dark contrasting blue against your emerald skin. He was much taller than you, broader too. His shoulder rested by your head as you looked up at him for a slight second, then returned to your sullen features.
“Why do you come here, all alone?” Neteyam pointed out, so curious as to why you're always alone. Somehow this piqued his interest, your solitudious personality didn’t go unnoticed. He noted your disinterest in partaking in the activities with them but only when tuk was around did you finally enjoy being there.
You grumbled in response “because”
Neteyam shifted his gaze from your touching skin, to your blue eyes. He noticed how they had gold specs in them and a freckle, if he looked close enough it seemed as though the freckle was a second pupil.
The answer didn’t suffice “because?” He dragged on.
“I have my own reasons like you have yours, why do you put them before yourself? I see the way you step in when it comes to Lo’ak, the way tuk is like your child. Kiri is the same age as you, is she not? Yet you treat her too as if she’s a baby.” You rambled, feeling called out. You enjoyed your privacy, for once. You’d thought about sharing it with someone else, but for now you had to make it clear you were not easy and never will be.
Neteyam scoffed lightly, nodding his head as if you’d just analysed his entire life and been correct “it’s my responsibility”
You nodded in understanding, nudging him a bit to continue. Neteyam glanced your way, searching for safety in your eyes, he didn’t understand why he’d find it so important to do so but something in his heart told him too, and he always listened to his heart.
“Being the first born always means you sacrifice everything about yourself for them. They mess up? It’s on me for not teaching them to do better, they fall and hurt themselves. I should have been there to protect them, in some way they are my children but I’d never admit that to them. That’s just the burden of being born first, that’s how I’ve been raised”
You couldn’t help but feel sympathetic, he was wise beyond his years. Being the first born meant so many things and one of them that held importance was responsibility, although in that sense Aonung would fail miserably.
After a few moments of silence, Neteyam mirrored your actions of enjoying the eclipse.
“You're a good brother” you released, your voice weak.
The forest boy snapped his head in your direction, you continued “Aonung would rather die than have to bare the burden of me or tsireya, he comes off protective but at the end of the day it’s me protecting him from his own stupidity.” You reached for his shoulder, anywhere else was off limits to you. Reassuringly patting it.
“That's an admirable trait, you’d make a great olo’eyktan one day.”
Neteyam couldn’t help but to take in the moment, staring into your eyes with a glimpse of confusion flickering in them as he searched around for the answer in yours. You couldn’t bear meeting his gaze, before he could open his mouth and utter the words he wanted to.
A voice from below called out to you both “Neteyam, mothers looking for you” Tuks high pitched voice called from below, how she found you two was a mystery. She noticed your presence, getting giddy already. You had nearly forgotten to ask her the question you’d promised rini.
“I guess being the oldest has its perks, you get your own watch team” humour was never really your forte and even you didn’t find the joke in that but Neteyam sniffled a laugh.
“Yeah, one step and tuk is threatening me that if I don’t take her she’ll tell everyone everything about me” this made you laugh, children were stubborn but tuk had a new level of stubbornness. Almost like she’d go to war for an adventure.
Before we could start climbing down, Neteyam grabbed a hold of my wrist again. A pleading look on his features “do you think I could come back with you tomorrow, same place, same time” he asked politely so as to not alarm me, his hold was soft and gentle. Like he was almost afraid he’d break my wrist if he held it with security.
I looked down towards tuk who held her thumbs up in a yes motion “your free to do whatever you want, Neteyam”
He couldn’t help but feel the pull dominate one side of his lips into a grin “so that’s a yes?”
“Yes, it is”

The moon and the sun ep1.
-----------------------------------------------
Neteyam x reader
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
skxawng (Idiot) Riti(moon)
Jakes pov.
The forests of Pandora…Hold many dangers.But the most dangerous thing about Pandora….is that you may grow to love her too much.We sing the song cord to remember.Each beat,a story in our life.A beat for the birth of our son.Neteyam. A beat when we adopted our daughters Kiri and y/n.Both born of Graces avatar. Two daughters whose conception was a total mystery.A beat for the first communion with Eywa.The people say we live in Eywa and Eywa lives in us.The great mother holds all her children in her heart.Happiness is simple.But who would have thought a jarhead like me could crak the code?Before i knew it we had 5.When we sent the sky people back to Earth A few of them stayed.Sience guys loyal to the na'vi.
And then there was Spider .He was just stuck here.Too young for a cryo-capsule.Orphaned by the war he was rased by the lab guys.He wasent a part of out family.He was like a stray cat.Just always around insaperable from our kids. To Neytiri Spider would always be alien. One of them.
Happiness is simple.Like date night.Time away from the kids.
But a thing about happiness…..it can vanish in a hearbeat.A new star in the night sky.It can only mean one thing.Ships.Decelerating.And the sky people returning.
y/n pov:
I was riding my ikran as i was flying next to Loak and Nateyam. All the warriors on ikrans and Direhorses were ambushing a train from the sky people.The train exploded and the warriors on the Direhorses went to get some weapons that are still able to be used.Loak,Nateyam and i are supposed to stay on our ikrans and worn the others if the sky people come.Spotters. That is what we are supposed to be. The fact Jake even leted me join them was a miracle.I did see him as a father figure but to me he was not my father.But i clearly was a daughter for him.
Loak:We have to go down there.
Neteyam: No way father will kill us.
y/n:Dont be a skxawng.If we go down there we could die.
Loak:Oh come on you guys.
Said Loak as he started to fly to the ground.
Neteyam:Lo'ak, come back!
Yelled Neteyam as he went after him.
y/n:Nateyam,Loak come back you idiots!
Neteyam:Stay there y/n! I got this!
I groaned in anger as i followed them.There is no way im letting them go down there alone.
I quickly followed them and just as i landed a few seconds after Nateyam i ran to him as i saw a navi giving Loak a gun.
Neteyam:Lo'ak, you don't even know how to use it.
Loak:Dad showed me that.
Said Loak to Nateyam with the sound of pride in his voice.
y/n:Dear Eywa you two are skxawngs.
Neteyam:Y/n? I told you to not follow us.
y/n:Im not ganna let you two be here alone.
Neteyam:You can get hurt.
y/n:So can you two.
Loak:Oh calm down y/n we are all okay.
Just as Loak said that a helicopter gunship came into view.
Neteyam:Shit. Come on guys lets go
Said Neteyam as he grabbed my hand and started to pull me to the ikrans. We were runing to our ikrans as i Neteyam and Loak were thrown up in the sky.Im guessing the helicopter gunship fired.I was not thrown to far away i got a little hurt but i was just happy i was alive.I looked around scared as i saw Jake coming towards me with Nateyam in his arms.I did not care about my small injury the only thing i cared about at this moment is if Nateyam is ok.
Jake:You ok baby girl?
y/n:Yeah im fine is, is he hurt?
I asked worried.
Neteyam:Im…good.
I could hear Neteyam mumble.
Jake:Yes he is but he will be good dont worry, now lets go back before more of them come.
He said as we walked to our ikrans with Loak already being there.I got on my ikran as Neteyam got on Jakes.
y/n:Loak are you hurt?
I asked as i looked over at him.
Loak:Im fine.
He said as we all took off flying.
As we all got home Tuk , Kiri and Spider were there waiting for us as we landed.I got down from my ikran and waited for the rest to join me on the ground.The second Nateyam got down from dads ikran i was next to him looking at his wounds.
y/n:If Jake wont kick your ass for being this stupid i will.
I wispered to Neteyam as he smiled at me.
Jake:Fall in!You guys are spotters. You must keep an eye out for enemies. At a distance!
Kiri joined me next to Nateyam looking at his wounds as i was now looking at the ground in shame.
Jake: Kiri, go help with the wounded.
Said Jake trying to not sound angry at Kiri since she did nothing wrong.
Kiri:My brother is also injured.
Jake: Tuk, go with her.
He said as Kiri roled her eyes and went of to grandma with tuk.
Neteyam: Father, I take full responsibility.
Dear Eywa Neteyam why are you so stupid.You dont need to take the blame for everything.
Jake:Yes, because you are the oldest
Neytiri: MaJake, your son is bleeding.
Neteyam:It doesn't matter, mother.
I glared at him as he said that clearly not happy with what he said.
Jake:Go in and get patched up.
I gently pushed Neteyam away towards one of the tends. And as Nateyam went of with Neytiri after him i , Loak and Jake wore left alone.
y/n:Jake dont blame Nateyam it was me, i should have never leted them go down there.
I said not wanting Loak to get in more trouble.
Now that i think about it im just like Neteyam.
Jake:No baby girl its not your fault, go to Kiri im sure she will be happy to get some help with the wounded.
I glanced at Loak and gived him a sad smile as i left as i could still hear Jake talk to Loak.
Jake:You must be aware that you almost got your siblings killed.
Loak:Yes sir.
Jake:You are banned from flying for a month.Dismount the ikrans. All of them.And wipe the nastiness off your face.
That was the last thing i heard as i made my way to the tent my sisters and the rest were in.I took a sit next to Nateyam looking at the wound he had.
y/n:Your okay? Yeah right.
Neteyam:Its not that bad.I have had worse.
I rolled my eyes as i looked away from him.
Moat: Give him this.
Kiri: I would use yalnabark.
Moat: Aha. Who is tsahik here?
Kiri:You are, grandma, but yalnabark is better.It hurts less.
Said Kiri puting what ever was inside the small wooden pot on to Nateyam.
By then Loak came to us and walked around Nateyam to go sit on the other side.
Loak: Mighty warriors.
Said Loak teasingly.I chuckled as i smirked at Neteyam.
y/n:My mighty warrior.
I said teasingly as i was meet with a blush on Neteyams face.
It was not a long time after Nateyams wounds were healed me Kiri,Spider and Loak made our way to one of the labs.We were walking thru the camp some of the avatars were going to rest in.
Norm:Hey, Spider.
Spider:Your ass is mine
Norm:Im right hire
Norm said jokingly.
:Avatars only, go around!
Said a fimale as Kiri made a stupid noise in return that made me smile.
Loak: The blue stripes don't make you bigger.
Said Loak to Spider as we made our way in to the lab.
Spider:Yeah well i can still kick your ass.
y/n: Oh stop it you skxawngs , we all know I could kick both of your asses at any time of the day.
Spider:Yeah ha ha wery funny.
Spider said as we all go in to the lab.
Spider:You know what really sucks,you can breath our air hire for hours.And i can only inhale yours for ten seconds.
Kiri:Yeah that really sucks monkey boy,for you.
Said Kiri as she took one of the masks.Just as the took one of the masks Spider grabed Kiris tail as she hissed at him.That made him hiss back .
Kiri: Hey max
Max:Hey kids
Said Max.As Kiri and Spider stoped the little play fight they just had .
Loak:Wats up Max
Loak said as him Spider and i went over to them and Kiri made her way over to our mom.
Max:Hey guys how are you two
I could hear Max ask as i walked after Kiri.
Kiri:Hey mom.
She said softly as she looked at her.
y/n:She looks just like you.
I said smiling at Kiri.While she had a lot of features similar to moms i had hardly any.
Loak:So whu do you think knocked her up?
Spider:Pretty sure it was Norm.
y/n:You do not deserve to live
I said with a annoyed look on my face.
Loak:No no no ,think about it.I mean he is the teachers pet.He is out at the lab with her all the time.
Kiri:I would kill myself.I would drink acid.
Spider:Bro your right he is like in every shot.Bro look look he is giving her the look
Kiri:Hey
Said Kiri, i could hear the sadness in her voice.That made Spider shut up.Ofc it did i know he likes Kiri so it makes sence he does not want to make her sad.
Loak:See im thinking there are two avatars in the woods all alone
Kiri:Gross!
Said Kiri as she pushed him.
Spider:Guys i mean sometimes its not so good to know who your father was.
Spider:Whatever,dont even remember him.
Loak:No spider
Said Loak with sympathy in his voice.
Spider:Dude .
y/n:Spider,you are not him.
I said as i hugged him from the back.
Kiri:She is right Spider you are not and never will be like him
Said kiri now standing right nex to him putting her hand on his shoulder.We stayed like this for some time,me hugging Spider from the back,Kiri patting his head and Loak just standing there.Spider was happy 99% and that 1 % of sadnes was when we started to talk about his dad or maybe just something that remindet him of his father.I never liked it when he was sad so i did my best to make him smile again.
Max:Kids you should go back home its getting late
Loak:On it
Replied Loak.And just as he said that he started to pull me Kiri and Spider out of the lab.
Loak:Come on guys i dont want dad to be mad
Said Loak as we made out way out of the lab.
y/n:Yeah yeah your just scared he will be mad with you,you little baby.
I told Loak with a smirk on my face.He started to protest but i turned away to look at Spider.
y/n:Sleep well Spider.
Spider:Yeah you too Ri
Loak:Ok lets go
I smirked as i gently pulled Loaks tail.He hissed at me as he started to run after me.
As i and Loak made our way to the tent we all were living in Tuk was already waiting for us in her little bed.Dad was cleaning some guns,mom was preparing her side of the bed and Nateyam was standing in the door way looking at me and Loak.
-Nateyam!
I shouted as i hugged him and stepped behinde him.
Neteyam:Riti.Loak giving you trouble again?
He asked as he gived a smirk to Loak.Ever since i was 3 years old Loak and i played a lot.Thoes games always endet in me running to Nateyam to seak shelter.He was always so proud that i saw him as someone i trust.And the fact i ran to him if i was in danger made him happy and proud.So he always looked at Loak with a face telling him i see him as someone that can protect me while he was the person i was running away from.
Loak:Not fair. You always hide behind him.
He protested as i showed him my tongue.
Loak:One day he wont be here to protect you.
I rolled my eyes playfuly as i glanced up at Neteyam.
Neteyam:Go to bed Riti.
y/n:Fine fine.
I said chuckeling as i walked to my spot and laid down.After some time everyone was lying fully or just half asleep.Neteyam was lying next to me with his eyes closed.
y/n:I cant sleep.
I wispered as i was meet with his eyes slowly opening.
Neteyam:Maybe if you stay quiet you will be able to.
y/n:Or a story.
I said smirking.When i was younger Jake told me stories before i went to sleep.He stoped some time ago as i thought i was too old for that but i still beg Neteyam to tell me stories.
Neteyam just turned fully to me and took a deap breath in as he started to tell me a story.I didnt know what story it was as i was sleeping about 5 minutes in the story.His voice was deep and at night it really helped me falling asleep.Before i could drift of to sleep i could feel something warm on my hand.I was not sure what it was but my best guess was it was Neteyams hand.
