On a certain level Tumblr is the only social media I can stand to be on specifically and directly because there's no overwhelming push to consume AI content in this shitpile, every other post isn't a reel showcasing disturbing uncanny valley AI "art", I don't have to get fucking mad at my friends here because they reposted a terrible looking AI generation of like, the Seinfeld cast AI generated as hardcore band singers, like it's nice.

Yugiri's smile is everything. She has so many of them and they all mean different things. When she's relaxed, when she's excited, when she's confused, when she has no clue what's going on but everyone else is happy so she's happy, when she's relieved, when she's proud... She has so many different smiles and if Tumblr didn't have the 10 image rules, I would absolutely gush about every single one of them in detail. Unfortunately, if I do that, all of those posts will probably be eaten out of the tag, so instead, here are my top 10 favorite Yugiri smiles so far, images included. (Pre-Revenge episode 9)

10. Season One, Episode 2: The First Smile/ 9. Season One, Episode 10: The Sentimental Smile

Episode 2 is the first time we ever see Yugiri smile. Before this, she seemed relatively nonplussed or generally disinterested in pretty much everything going on. Even though she was in a different time period with complete strangers and a madman demanding her to be something she has no knowledge of, she was fairly calm. Then the first time we see her smile, it's when she sees something completely familiar. Her own face. Not only that, but she directs that smile toward the character that is going to become basically her little sister. The first one means so much and it's so important.

Within the same vein, her smile to Kotaro in episode 10 is one during an emotionally heavy moment. It's the first time he's hit an actual snag in his plans. Sakura's singular focus on the Arpino show rather than on the bigger picture of the group as a whole would have been a massive roadblock had she not realized her mistake.

Yugiri is the only one who properly realizes the reason they were sent into the mountains in the first place. Instead of simply sitting on the information, she's proactive about it and actually goes to discuss the problem with Kotaro. She wants to understand his reasoning so that she might be able to help him. And when she turns toward him, she also gives him the observations she's witnessed throughout her new life. This smile may be low on my list of favorites, but it's still unbelievably important.

...Also, when they released the preview image of this smile, my brain short-circuited for ten minutes, so it had to make it onto the list regardless.

8. Season Two, Episode One: The Professional Smile

This smile isn't much out of the ordinary for what we've come to expect of Yugiri, but it's on here because this was our first look at Yugiri after basically two years of very little. None of us knew how the group would come back, how the writing team had incorporated the unexpected pandemic, how things would play out, or what would be happening. The Promo showed Tae's hand flying off to knock off Sakura's head, but as 2018 displayed, the promos can't always be trusted. This showed that, even in this new world where she's only been awake for a year, she's putting her skills to use and working just as hard as the others. Thanks to the conversation from Episode 10 of the first season, we know she was trained as a geisha which would make service work much easier than it would be for the other girls.

I don't have too much to say on this one, to be honest. I do like that she's in softer lighting, as opposed to the others who were all surrounded by harsh lighting on their season two introductions. The softer lighting lends itself well to the lack of pigment and coloration in the girls' makeup, allowing Yugiri to look like she has some color, even if she still looks somewhat pale and tired. It doesn't give her quite the same sickly look the others have at their jobs. The red dress? 100/10. Perfect decision.

7. Season One, Episode Five: The Proud Smile

SHE. DOES. GYMNASTICS. She has every right to this smile! I did the math for this specific part of the episode and Yugiri got third place. The judges liked her rope aerobics so much, they shot her all the way to third place even though her distance was zero meters. It wouldn't have gotten her interviewed, but it would have at least put Franchouchou at the forefront. I still applaud Tae snagging first place, but Yugiri deserves some praise. She really did go face first into the mud on a bike and said, "Never again." She's so proud of herself. I'll be gushing about the actual gymnastics part in a different post a little later, too, but she definitely deserves to be proud of herself. I'm really gay...

6. Season One, Episode Four: The Cute Smile

Originally, this was just going to be me doing some keysmash version of a squeal or something, but there's something I'd like to draw attention to. I'm pretty sure that, by this point, Franchouchou only knows two songs. Yomigaere, which was supposed to be performed in episode 2, and Mezame Returner, which is what's being performed here. Of these two, Yugiri has more experience with this one, but from what the audience had been shown, it wasn't good experience.

Memorizing the lyrics would have been the easy part for her. It's that a good portion of the dance practice was also spent helping Lily get the steps down and potentially calming her frustrations. Then the performance itself would have been a complete disaster if Junko and Ai hadn't gotten over themselves at the last minute to finally help.

This is the first successful performance of Mezame Returner we're witnessing and it's clear the group's had more practice since then. You can see how excited and happy Yugiri is here because this one is actually going well. They had a bit more time to prepare, the two lead roles were actually involved this time, and the audience also was clearly enjoying the performance. She's so happy and it's just so heart-warming to see. Yes, even with the CGI. Don't @ me, she looks adorable.

5. Season One, Episode Seven: The Sassy Smile

This one also was just going to be a squealing keysmash thing, but again, I have something to point out. Look how much more confident she is now that Junko and Ai have, once again, gotten over themselves. Yugiri sees the effect that Junko stepping in had on the others and just like the rest of the group, her movements are more relaxed and free.

It's more obvious, actually, if you look at the way the other girls are moving directly after Junko helps Ai up in comparison to how Yugiri is moving. She did a spin while waiting for Sakura and Lily to finish their segment, and she could be cheeky during her own. She sensed that the tension had mostly dissolved and because of that, she allowed herself to relax and could properly throw herself into the performance. When she throws out this smile and wink, it's not actually directed at the audience. It's Yugiri telling the others that they've got this without breaking the performance.

4. Season Two, Episode Four: The Gentle Smiles

I put both of these here because Yugiri's just... so... caring? So much of what she does is passive that you don't realize just how much work she puts into relieving the stress from the other girls until long after the problem has been resolved.

In the first, she's speaking to Sakura. No doubt, Yugiri probably noticed how worried Sakura was about Junko. Even though Sakura was trying not to let the others catch on just how anxious she really was, Yugiri still knew that something was bothering Sakura as well as Junko. Yugiri knew that the key to easing Junko's mind lay in placating Sakura first. She's seen what happens to them all when they fall apart and she wants to avoid that at all costs. So, Yugiri lifts Sakura's spirits and gives her back the fire and determination to make a great performance.

In the second, Yugiri is watching Junko eat. Unlike the others, it's clear Yugiri knows that Junko is in much higher spirits than when last they saw her. Junko would likely have still been a stuttering, quivering mess otherwise, but she wasn't stuttering and her actions were purposeful and self-assured. Yugiri is very observant. She would have caught on that something had happened to make Junko feel better. What makes this smile even better is that she's not the least bit disappointed. The reason she made dinner was to help Junko, but she doesn't view the meal as a waste of time. She's so focused on other people, that she's happy Junko is feeling better at all and even offers her different platters to help keep her mood up.

These are high on the list for two reasons. One, they're a show of just how much Yugiri does for her girls. Two, YUGIRI COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS HEADCANON CONFIRMED BITCHEEEESSS!!! I GOT ONE RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!!!!!

3. Season Two, Episode Six: The Affectionate Smile

I will be completely honest, I have no idea why this one is as high as it is. I admit, I did spend three hours replaying this single thirty second scene because it's really sweet and Yugiri and Tae don't interact very often, so seeing Yugiri not only be worried for Tae, but also be immediately reassured that Tae would be fine was just something my heart didn't know it needed until it had it. The sheer level of affection Yugiri shows toward Tae is too adorable. Especially since Yugiri usually only has moments like those with Sakura and, to a lesser extent, Lily. This smile's really cute, it's in the middle of a wholesome scene, and it made me love both Yugiri and Tae that much more.

2. Season One, Episode Three: The Excited Smile

Once again, an entry that was going to be a simple squealing keysmash until I realized there was something to point out here as well. This is the first smile we ever see from Yugiri that's genuinely enthusiastic. She has plenty of them, especially during her performances, but this is our first time seeing her fully incorporate herself into the group as an actual member and actually look excited to do something with the others. This was an omen of adorable things to come and damn did it deliver.

Honorable Mentions.

I'm only going to touch on each of these briefly because to be honest, there are a LOT of smiles I could've picked.

The first one is from episode 6 when the group is talking about their very first meet-and-greet. Lily asks Yugiri if she's keeping up okay, and Yugiri remarks that she's taking things as they come. This was a small look into the kind of character she is. As I mentioned before, she's very passive in the way she operates, but that's to the benefit of those she cares for. This is her admitting that she doesn't want to be a problem and it's just sweet that even though Lily is worried about her, Yugiri's still highkey thinking about everyone else.

To the right is a shot of Yugiri during Electric Returner. This one is just the squealing keysmash because she looks so genuinely ecstatic, it's contagious. She's NO DAMN CLUE what happened or why they sound so different, but she is absolutely living her best second life.

The next shot comes from the beginning of Yomigaere and is somewhat of a repeat of the above. She's excited to perform for such a big crowd, she's glad Sakura finally agreed to actually participate, and she's living her best second life. Whoever animates Yugiri's CG model? I love you. I want to send you a gift basket. She's always so happy during performances.

Then comes her smile after the group finds out Sakura's memories are back. She's just glad Sakura, her Sakura, has come back to them, that she accepts her crap luck and is still willing to stay. For Yugiri, this goes under the list of Best Possible Outcomes. Her family is whole again and she's so relieved.

Last in the top row is the first full frontal shot we get of Yugiri in the Saga Jihen music video. She's so unbelievably adorable here. I wish I could've gotten her first expression, but the curtain was still rising and without photoshop, I'm not editing an image to the degree needed to get her whole face lightened. Point is, she's cute and everyone deserves to see her adorable face on the first song she got to be center for.

First on the bottom row is Yugiri looking apologetic from episode 8 of Revenge. She's so cute. It was an honest mistake and she had no way of knowing the paper belonged to Kiichi. No doubt, that was probably why she offered to help him rewrite them later.

Next is how cute she looks in big sister mode. She's wiping the mud from Kiichi's cheeks and is taking such care with him. Throughout the entire episode, she treats him like a little kid and it's likely because her role was big sister for so long that she doesn't know how not to treat him that way. It really does shed light on just how kind she is to everyone, though, that she doesn't even think about her dirty kimono and focuses on cleaning him up a little first.

Then we have her smiling at Kiichi as she remarks on how beautiful his dream of reviving Saga is. She even says she hopes it comes true. His dream means something to her. She can't even fully see it, he can't even fully see it, but they don't need to. What Itou didn't understand this whole time is something Yugiri understood immediately just from listening to Kiichi talk. They don't need to see it in their minds, all they need is to feel it in their hearts, and that's something Yugiri knows.

And lastly on the honorable mentions, because this post is already super long, Yugiri smiling while she's cooking for her guests. It was a tossup between this or the pinwheel because it's just really nice that Yugiri can simply enjoy mundane things. I chose this one because it's a direct contrast to how she was at the beginning. Before, she ate with a disinterested expression, but now, she's cooking for guests rather than just for herself. The lift in her mood is obvious, and it's something so small but so heartwarming, I couldn't resist.

I would've put the pinwheel moment anyway, but unfortunately, as a com major, formatting and design are everything and an extra picture on the top or bottom without a balancer would've thrown the whole thing off. Maybe next time.

NOW FOR NUMBER ONE

1. Season Two, Episode Eight: The Softest Smile

This should have been expected. There's something genuinely touching about the fact that Yugiri really does give her everything, even to complete strangers. These girls barely know her, everyone in town barely knows her, but because her dance students suggested Yugiri go out and actually experience, Yugiri gives it actual thought. She doesn't dismiss them, she doesn't deride them, she doesn't make them feel foolish or anything like that. She treats their suggestion the same way she would if it had come from a close friend. And she does actually take them up on it.

Later, we see her come into contact with Kiichi to demonstrate that even full-on strangers aren't exempt from her kind heart, but this means more. All we know is that these girls take Yugiri's dance class, and from the way they speak when we first meet them, it's clear Yugiri has a professional wall between herself and those she instructs. But she still treats them as she would the girls back in Shimabara. It's proof that, even in the past, Yugiri really was just as kind-hearted as in the present. It's a show don't tell kind of thing that just speaks so deeply to the writer in me. I love this smile. It's everything. Her smiles are everything. She's everything.

Freddy is the most level headed, yet also the most dangerous out of ALL of the animatronics (this does not include the shadows and nightmares, as they’re not technically real animatronics, or the puppet who is basically the closest thing possible to a mortal god). He knows things none of the others know, and often the first person he tells anything to is either Red (as the Toys’ leader and bc of their personal relationship ofc) or Bonnie (his best friend, inside and outside of the programming). He witnessed the very first murder (after the Bite of ‘83, so Fredbear’s is shut down and it’s the first official Freddy Fazbear restaurant), along with the Puppet, but as this is before the (first) children are murdered he can do nothing but adhere to his code. He began to glitch out of course, as the first sign of autonomy fought with his programming. He and the other OGs did not gain full autonomy until they came in contact with the murdered children, though they have always been sentient (can you imagine…)

Bonnie ADORES cute things. He’ll never admit it though. He’s a little bitter and a little jealous, but the Toys quickly endear themselves to him in part because of their cute very-80’s design. He’s loyal to a fault but when his trust is broken, its a bitch to get back. He has Freddy’s back no matter what. He likes to bicker with Chica and Foxy, and often insults and teases them as big brothers do, but the moment someone else does he’s ready to throw down. He’s very protective and mildly possessive, but Freddy’s working with him on that last bit- possessive is not good and Bonnie knows that.

Chica was programmed bilingual, with English and Spanish in order to help children who only spoke the latter (the Hispanic population was fairly high in their city and Henry was highly aware of the children and their parents who only knew Spanish, so it was good to have someone always there who can communicate). She cooks, of course, she’s Chica, and while she and Bonnie definitely have the bickering teasing sibling relationship she’s closest to Foxy. Those two, while they will have a go at each other, will usually band together and are often found playing games together. Foxy is the one she feels she can trust with her secrets.

Foxy is good at keeping secrets. He’s a storyteller and loves to play pretend, and often he can glean info from the others based on what they choose their characters to be or do. He gets the others to open up to him easily, and of the OGs he’s probably the most open and sympathetic, allowing him to easily befriend the Toys when they meet. He’s also the most sensitive, so he’s the most torn up about the murdered children, but his reactions to hurt is often violence- against himself, against the perpetrator, against the wall, etc… But he never hurts his friends.

The Golden duo were actually built by a novice inventor (though she was a genius), initially as babysitters and entertainers for the inventor’s children (single mother). However, the kids in the neighborhood LOVED them so she opened the diner. It ran for a few years, over time the Golden duo gaining their autonomy as they learned. This was in the 50’s, and this tech was unheard of back then so it obviously caught attention. Time passed and the inventor eventually died in the late 70’s, and her children teamed up with Henry and William to bring in new animatronics to expand the “family.” Thus Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy were built (the band came first, Foxy was added later) and placed in a sister restaurant… When ‘83 happened, the inventor’s kids shut the restaurant down (feeling ashamed that their beloved goldies could cause such harm) and sold all of the rights to Henry and William, under the condition that their mother’s characters always be honoured; and thus the name Fredbear remains, even if only in programming.

Henry is the one who built the OGs, using the blueprints and plans from the golden duo in order to achieve the same effect. William, wanting to best Henry (William was a very very jealous and selfish man), began secretly working on the Sister Location before ‘83 (basically right after Henry revealed the OG Fazband), and he made the blueprints for the Toys (as they were the prototypes for the SL) from scratch, using very little of the Goldens’ creator’s code and instead using a child genius who would never know any better. The child was forced into writing the first “living code”, which would grow and develop on its own- the first true AI, or so William thought (the OGs and Goldens learn and grow but that’s through time and observation and ghosts, they weren’t actually programmed for it). As such, the Toys from the moment they woke up could feel.

William is a monster. He murders for fun. Freddy was the first to show aggression towards him- Freddy saw the murder, but he didn’t see the murderer, but he never liked how William reacted to finding out about the child found dead in the alley, especially since he was supposed to be a family friend. William murdered the first set of children out of anger at Henry, wanting to see “Mr. Perfect” fail- not realizing Henry was spiraling (the first child was Henry’s daughter, Sammy). When Freddy’s shut down and they decided to reopen, he decided that instead of letting Henry have the glory of refitting the OGs, he introduced Henry to the Toys.

The Toys have no knowledge of William, beyond “our creator.” They also don’t know of the child genius that William used and abused to create them, though they do have fragments of memory about them.

Blue is the most sensitive about the “replacement” thing. After he finds out, he refuses to respond to the name Bonnie- even has an actual breakdown over it because “if you’re not Freddy and I’m not Bonnie then who the heck are we?!” Total existential crisis. He even breaks a mirror in the bathroom. It’s after that that the Toys officially take up nicknames to use among themselves.

The Toys were given the OGs’ props when they were activated, but they gave them back. The restaurant crew eventually got tired of having to fetch the props from the back and just ordered new props for the Toys.

Mangle’s nickname was originally Vixy, but after being ripped apart they embraced the name Mangle and decided they liked the sound of it. Red tried to reason with them about it but Mangle was firm in their decision.

The Toys and OGs (as the Withereds) never hunted the night guard. The night guards were scared stiff when the animatronics moved and got it in their heads that they were being hunted. The animatronics had no reason to hunt the night guard; they didn’t know after all. The Withereds did tell the Toys about the first set of murders (and Freddy admitted the truth about the first child to Red), but the Toys couldn’t imagine the pain until they went through it themselves (second set of murdered kids).

Red and Chii take the most issue with being called “Toy”- Red because it likens them to cheap knockoffs and Chii because it likens them to simple objects meant to be played with and tossed away. Mangle and Blue were indifferent to the title.

The Toys are the only ones who saw the murderer. The secret of his identity died with them.

William (under the alias Dominic Fueller) masqueraded as a guard after he and Henry had a falling out, and during this time he kidnapped the kids and murdered them. This time he was more careful, and the Toys were the only witnesses. However, when the OGs later read about the Bite of '87 (which targeted William but ended up getting selfless little Jeremy instead), they put the pieces together that it was a night guard (as the paper said they “cornered a guard”) and began hunting night guards from that day onwards.

All in all there were 11 murdered children and 2 bite victims. Bite of '83 was the crying child, shortly after that was Sammy, then in '85 was the first five children who briefly haunted the restaurant and the OGs’ suits (their bodies were found, however, and properly interred so they moved on bc closure). Then '87 came and the second set of murders happened, and the day after was the Bite of '87.

Henry committed suicide shortly after '87, leaving William with the rest of the company… But he stuck around.

Things between the Toys and OGs was initially rocky, but no one was outright hostile. Of the Toys, Red was the first to reach out a hand, and of the OGs Foxy was the first (though Freddy did extend pleasantries, as the leader). Bonnie just sort of started hanging around and Blue on a whim gave him back his guitar, and that simple act is what truly bridged the gap. Soon the Toys decided to fix the OGs up, with Red hoping one day the OGs would perform again. Blue often voiced a desire to perform alongside Bonnie, not as Old and New but as Bonnie and Blue.

When Mangle was ripped apart with no hope of being fixed, everyone did what they could to make things better for them. However, Mangle came to the conclusion eventually that they liked being a “spider fox.” They could go places and do things the others couldn’t, and soon it became the norm to look up and see a fox chillin on the ceilin

The animatronics have souls of their own, formed over time, circumstance and experiences. They’re all reunited in the end, and either stay in the afterlife or move on to another life- hopefully a happier one. Surprise, all my AUs are connected in a multiverse 😂 they exist parallel to each other, sometimes even in the same universe/timeline but at different points in time. They’re all the lives the animatronics (and night guards and children) live, whether it’s in another universe or the same. They have happy stories and not so happy stories… But they’re stories. Their stories. And they always find each other, one way or another.

Oh yeah those next and parallel lives I mentioned? Yeah the souls carry wounds that transcend time and space. 9 times out of 10, their names or nicknames will be the same, they’ll look as they always did, and they hold the same scars as their animatronic forms.

Finding Peace (Peter Parker x Reader)

Title: Finding Peace

Summary: Peter takes care of the reader and a certain someone after the events of Endgame. In other words, spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet.

A/N: This is the very first Marvel story I’ve ever written, so I hope you like it.  You have no idea how stressed I am about posting this, but I trust y’all to be honest with me. Any feedback is welcome! 

It had been months since that one day, that one day that she could remember to the last second, even though she had wanted nothing more than to forget. She remembered the look in Tony’s eyes when he came to explain why he had to go. She remembered the tears in his eyes when he asked that she would look after his girls, her included, if something were to go wrong. She remembered Pepper saying it was really bad before suiting up and following to wherever Tony had gone. She remembered hearing commotion outside and sighing a breath of relief that they had returned. But most of all she remembered the pain, the pain of not seeing Tony stand among those that had returned, the pain of hearing Morgan innocently ask where her daddy was, the pain of knowing Tony had sacrificed everything to save everyone but himself, the pain of her head hitting the ground as everything turned black before her eyes.

Y/N woke up that Saturday morning feeling more refreshed than she had in a long time. Usually on days like this when Pepper was out doing business for Stark Industries Morgan would wake her up at the crack of dawn. Looking at the clock that displayed 11:07 in bright red letters immediately put her on edge. Even if Pepper had returned early, she would never let her sleep past 10 AM, unless she was sick.

“Friday?” she tentatively whispered to the AI.

“Yes, miss Y/N?” the AI answered “What can I help you with?”

“Who is inside the house?” Y/N asked.

“You are the sole occupant of the house at this point.” the AI replied.

“Does that mean that Pepper had returned?” Y/N asked making her way to Morgan’s room, effectively empty as the AI had indicated.

“I’m afraid that she is still at Stark Industries, her meeting had run longer than she had expected.” Friday informed her.

“So, where the hell is Morgan?” Y/N wondered, starting to panic a little, taking one of the guns she knew Tony kept around the house.

“Tony, she is 15, she doesn’t need to know how to shoot a gun!” Pepper exclaimed.

“I just want to be sure my girls can take care of themselves in case anything happens.” Tony tried to convince Pepper.

Pepper sighed: “This isn’t a fight that I am going to win am I?”

Tony shook his head as he said: “I just want to keep her safe.”

“Okay,” Pepper said finally agreeing: “But then you need to teach her everything about your suits as well, she might be my sister, but she’s got your stubbornness. I’d rather you teach her than have her tinkering by herself.”

“Little miss Morgan is out by the waterfront.” Friday told her.

Y/N ran outside, gun by her side. She was relieved to see Morgan safe and sound, but wanted nothing more than to scold her for being so close to the water all by herself. But before she could open her mouth, she heard a familiar voice beat her to it.

“Little miss Stark, what did we say about going to the water by yourself?”

Y/N turned to the source of the voice and saw Peter Parker scolding Morgan. The little girl turned to Peter as well and pouted: “But I’m wearing my floaties!”

Y/N smiled as she saw the boy soften at her little pout, Peter never could resist the little girl, even though they had only met a few months earlier. Putting the gun she was still holding away, she made her way to the both of them.

“Just because you’re wearing floaties, doesn’t mean you can break the rules, sweetpea.” Y/N said as she picked up the 5-year old.

“Sorry Y/N.” Morgan replied looking up at Y/N.

“How did you sleep?” Peter asked.

“I slept like a baby.” Y/N told him with a smile, before turning serious: “but then I woke up to find the house completely empty.”

Peter looked at her, face filled with guilt, and started rambling: “I’m sorry, miss Potts said I could come by any time and when I arrived Morgan just woke up and I told her not to wake you up because even though you say you sleep just fine, I know you are usually up almost the entire night because of nightmares? “Peter!” Y/N yelled, getting him to stop rambling. “Thank you.”

They kept staring into each other’s eyes for what seemed like hours until Morgan interrupted: “I’m hungry.”

Peter smiled as they went to sit down at the picnic he and Morgan had made and asked the little girl: ‘Okay, what do you want first?”

“Cheeseburgers!” Morgan replied quickly.

Y/N looked at her and said: “You know what mom told you, no more cheeseburgers for dinner this month.”

Both Peter and Morgan started pouting. “Fine.” She sighed “seeing as we’re having lunch, we’re technically not breaking mom’s rule for no more cheeseburgers for dinner.”

Morgan dug into her burger as Peter smiled: “And you say that I’m the one that can’t deny her anything.”

They ate listening to all the stories Morgan was telling. When Morgan was done eating, she went to play in the garden while Peter and Y/N sat quietly watching her. And for the first time since that day, she felt something other than the overwhelming pain that had been present for all these months. She felt peace and love flood her heart, all because of the brown-haired nerd sitting across her and the little girl that was roaming the garden.

“Thank you.” She broke the comfortable silence in which they were sitting. “I get so caught up in taking care of them, I forgot to take care of myself.”

“Anytime.” Peter said as he placed his arm around her.

Y/N looked into his eyes for what felt like an eternity before slowly reaching up and placing her lips against his, until Morgan interrupted once more, making them both smile

ABOUT THE MUN

      Both mun and my muses are of legal age (mun is 24+, while muses are canon age ), however in a few verses my muses are underage so there will be no NSFW whatsoever. I find it very difficult to interact with child characters so will rarely ever accept a thread if the muse is under sixteen unless it is due to a meme. 

      Penname is Amy, I use she/her pronouns. I live in Britain so am on the GMT timezone (I think it’s GMT +1 but I’m useless with this stuff so I’m sorry if I’m wrong)

        My blog usually states that I am Semi-Hiatus, this is because I am usually either in work, babysitting my sister or just don’t have the energy to write. When I do have the chance to write then usually I will write everything and then post them slowly or queue them all depending on how I feel about a thread at that time.

         A lot of my icons are made by myself, I am currently redoing a number of them for some characters but have some 100x100px ones under icon edits that I made available to people to edit themselves if they so wish. The icons that weren’t made by myself are my Kara icons (unfortunately I can’t find who to credit for them)

          I’ll be the first to admit that I post A LOT of ooc stuff (I usually delete it because it’s just to clear my mind), if you don’t want to see it then ((out of snark: ooc)) is my tag so blacklist it.

         I was a media student for four years and in those four years I studied about five creative writing courses that drilled into me the need for character building so OC’s are difficult for me to get my head around.

BLOG

       After deliberation I have decided to make the blog a mutuals only blog.

       I am OC friendly, but my muses need to ‘click’ with the characters because otherwise it would be forced and it will be bad for both of us, I WILL NOT interact with characters that are product of incest, and I will not interact with characters that are all powerful with very little thought put into them to balance it out. 

       I don’t follow personal blogs and if someone follows me, I sometimes block them if there is no indication that they are an rp blog or have a sideblog so please be careful with following me; at least let me know via IM if you have a side blog.

        Cutting posts is difficult for me when I am on mobile so I apologise in advance. If I am on mobile then I will either tag it, or I will warn you in advance.

         I will very rarely do about the mun posts, if they interest me then I’ll do them but sometimes I just haven’t got the time to do them.

CANON DIVERGENCE AND VERSES FOR CW SHOWS

          This blog is canon divergent the majority of the time, I will do threads that follow series two of Legends if it’s requested but otherwise it my threads will remain canon divergent, the main differences are:

           Leonard is alive, he did die to begin with but he was just sent through time and awoke in Central City not long after the invasion.

           Kendra and Carter did leave and the crew were scattered but for how long is unclear so Nate was required to join and Amaya joined because of Thawne

            To Gideon, Sara was NEVER Captain, she may have been co-captain but Rip is always her Captain, she will never go against him, and she would never hide anything from him if it meant that harm would befall someone on the crew, or something could cause the mission to go wrong.

Flash differences:

           Axel only stayed in jail for a small amount of time due to ‘good behaviour’ but he is also weary about Jesse’s claims to him being the Tricksters heir

           Hartley isn’t a good guy although he’s not a bad guy either, he’s a Rogue for hire

Supergirl differences:

           Kara isn’t in a relationship with Mon-El UNLESS STATED!! same with Winn and Lya.

INTERACTIONS

         So as I’ve said, I’m a multi-muse blog, a lot of people are put off by this I know, but it’s easier for me if I have one blog rather than a number of sideblogs because I have tried that once before and it didn’t work.

         If you want to send a meme then please, please, PLEASE, state the character you want, I have TEN muses so it becomes extremely difficult to choose who to answer with and not everyone is happy with my choice.

          I will try and add a character when I send a meme but in all honesty, I do forget from time to time.

          Each of my muses are different, and I play them differently; however their backgrounds remain the same, if you aren’t happy with how I play my characters then you can leave my blog, simple as that.

           Please tag your stuff, it’s not triggering to me, however I know a number of things can be triggering to my own followers and it will be easier for me as I am never completely sure about what to tag and what not to tag.             Never EVER godmod unless you have my permission, I dislike it greatly when someone decides my character is going to do something in their reply and actually writes them doing it. My characters are my own and even if you portray them somewhere else, we have separate minds. I will ALWAYS ask before directing your muse somewhere if out PLOT called for it.

              Due to being on mobile a lot, I am unable to reblog asks as threads without difficulty, so please make a new thread for it. You don’t have to link it to the ask, a title works perfectly. THREAD RULES

          I’m comfortable doing one liners, but they will sooner or later be turned into paragraphs and maybe even multiparagraphs (I’ve gone from one to six in two replies before now).

            I will use icons from time to time, I usually prefer beginning a new thread (particularly with someone new) with an icon but after a few replies they tend to be lost. Sometimes I’ll use gifs too but not always and don’t worry about using them yourself.

           I will happily add characters to our threads if needed, I don’t mind playing other CW or Disney characters, plus it gives me more inspiration and may result in more characters on my crew.            I’m a bit grey when it comes to the area of smut, I won’t write sex……..but describing situations for my characters I can do if it means teasing my RP partners muse. So NSFW will happen but open smut won’t……if that makes sense.

         I am a multiship blog.

          I LOVE both platonic, familial and romantic ships.

          I’m open to new ships and will try anything as long as there is chemistry there and as long as it’s not incestuous.

          HOWEVER, I will NOT ship anyone other than Rip Hunter with Gideon, and that’s because of the chemistry they have on screen, not only that but the only Rip that I would romantically ship Gideon with is my main Rip as long as they are open to it. I will not ship her sexually with anyone because she is an AI, she is not human, no matter how human she acts. Whatever ship Gideon will have will be either platonic or familial

Porn Censored, Women And Gays Affected Most

The argument is what I call the “low hanging fruit,” that censorship hurts everyone, but since people care more about some groups than others, pander to their feelz.

This week, the social networking site Tumblr banned the very thing that drove many people to its site: adult content. Many cheered that Tumblr had finally caught up with the times, echoing anti-pornography policies adopted by Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and others. But there was another set of voices you might not have heard — the voices of women and the L.G.B.T.Q. community — who pointed out that this change will destroy a safe space for self-expression, discovery and connection.

First, a couple confessions. I’m not a consumer of porn. It’s fine with me that your mileage may vary, but it’s just not my thing. If Rule 34 didn’t exist, I would lose no sleep. Don’t judge me.

Second, I don’t use Tumblr and, frankly, have no clue what it’s about, so I have no particular concern over whether this is a good or bad thing for Tumblr, per se. But for purpose of this post, it doesn’t matter. This could be any social media platform, as far as I’m concerned.

While we can get hung up on debating what kind of content should or shouldn’t be allowed on a particular platform, none of that alters an equally important but less-visible problem: When tech companies tackle large-scale problems with large-scale solutions, underrepresented groups are often further marginalized as a result.

Is it “equally important,” or is it just the shallow nature of how the insipid frame their arguments or concerns? The problem, according to Jessica Powell, former head of communications for Google, isn’t censorship, but that censorship impacts “underrepresented groups” worse than, I guess, over- and properly-represented groups.

This raises two of the most obvious, yet oddly ignored, questions that seem to permeate every debate these days. Why is it better to negatively impact the majority of people than it is to impact the minority of people? One might rationally think that if anyone has to be harmed, the fewest number of people would be preferable to the largest number of people.

The difference here is that the subjects of Powell’s concerns reflect groups that are deemed “oppressed” or “victimized” by moves that benefit the majority at their expense. Of course, while LGBTQ is very much a minority, women aren’t, and it’s women who are pushing this anti-porn agenda, simultaneously hanging portraits of Queen Victoria in their parlors while donning spiked-heel shoes to crush small furry creatures.

Similarly, many in the L.G.B.T.Q. community have said the adult content on Tumblr provided a space to connect with those with similar interests and to explore sexuality without judgment.

Is there a reason why “explor[ing] sexuality without judgment” doesn’t apply to everyone, but only to the LGBTQ community? Or is it just that they are high on the victim hierarchy, and so entitled to their safe space when others are not?

The second question is raised by the tacit conflict between the woke forces against porn and the woke forces for porn. Yet again, ideology that isn’t grounded in principle ends up in conflict. No matter how many woke words are murdered in the effort to rationalize this inconsistency, it’s still staring Powell, and the rest of us, in the face.

There is a laundry list of reasons why porn is awful, some quite strong such as it creates demand for the production of child porn, and some less strong, such as it victimizes women and feeds toxic masculinity. For women who are adults and choose to make porn, they would fight the scolds who tell them they’re being abused by the patriarchy. They’re making a living the way they choose, and the school marms can shove it.

But there is a strong contingent of scolds out there, smugly disagreeing with their sisters in the warm comfort of their echo chamber, doing god’s work by eradicating demon porn. It’s not that they are against female sexuality, even though they are, but that they want to have it both ways: women can be as sexual as they wish provided they do so with the approval of the chair of the Andrea Dworkin Commission.

The question is less which side the the feminist war is right, but that when one side demands the elimination of porn from a platform, it’s disingenuous to pick the low-hanging fruit of women to argue against it. Whenever one group demands censorship of things because it hurts their feelings, there is invariably a group that demands its feelings be respected by allowing it. When the group happens to be the same, then you can’t claim to represent the entire group’s interests.

To be fair, it is a hard nut to crack. Platforms with millions of users need algorithmic solutions to solve issues like content regulation at scale. The problem is, machines are not yet very good at nuance. Can Tumblr’s artificial intelligence tell the difference between a curated page of visual erotica and violent sexual imagery the same way a trained human could? Probably not.

But why is a favored group’s porn “visual erotica” and a disfavored group’s porn “violent sexual imagery”? Porn isn’t good or bad based on the adjectives you’ve arbitrarily chosen to write. Who decides what’s good or bad porn? Who decides on good and bad speech? Who decides on good or bad ideas?

While there is no perfect solution, there are many steps Tumblr could take if it truly wanted to support these communities.

Why not support all communities, including the ones that aren’t the low-hanging fruit of the moment? There is no perfect solution because people do not agree on what is too awful to see. No matter how good the AI, or even how many human eyeballs are employed, the problem of what to censor will always be subjective, a slave to ideology, whether of different groups or just warring factions within the same group.

There may be no “perfect” solution, but there is a wise solution. The default should be to allow all content, except illegal content, and let people decide for themselves what they want to see. And when the scolds get offended by the idea that someone, somewhere, is enjoying themselves watching porn, they can take comfort in knowing that they’re at least being good allies to their friends in the LGBTQ community.

Summary: Mio and Aine have stepped into the deep end to see what Sunburst’s new units are. Though they have their hopes, reality is a completely different beast. After all... Sunburst’s fans are fucking weird.

Mio hadn't expected to be staring at a computer screen that afternoon but heck if she wasn't glued to the screen in front of her like it was providing her oxygen. Right then, it was blank for the famous sunshine logo of Aikatsu's independent unit, but the timer was clicking down. Just a few minutes more.

Next to her, Aine was fidgeting from excitement – that or she needed to go to the bathroom and didn't want to miss anything. Either, and sometimes both, were possible with the cute idol. Even though they had been Friends for a while now, there were still things that surprised her about the girl. She would probably always be surprised.

After all, Love Me Tear legends said a good Friend kept you on your toes with new things to discover.

“This is so exciting! I can't wait to see what people voted on!” Aine was practically bouncing. “Sunburst's idea of letting their fans vote on their sub units was really neat.”

It was – and unusual for Aikatsu. In a culture where Friends duo units ruled, a large group that sometimes broke into smaller groups was almost unheard of. It was popular outside their circle, but... well, no one had ever said Sunburst was normal.

“They're really racking up the viewers, too.” Mio pointed at the counter – over 1000k. “Did you vote in the election?”

She had, of course. Her picks had been by type and the voices she thought would go best together. Perfect units, in her mind, for the wild and unpredictable idol group that was hot on their heels for the Diamond Friends title. Maybe a little routine would help them focus into more structured performers... or just make them more... Sunburst.

It was an adjective now. It had to be.

“It was so hard to pick, they all sound so good together.” Aine pouted, but brightened. “I think that Ayame-chan, Ji-min-chan, and Ritsu-kun would sound nice together, how about you?”

Mio nodded – though it wasn't her choice. “With their vocal ranges, I voted for Vaughan, Lena-san, and Ray. They have a good balance and their aesthetic choices aren't too far off.”

“You really thought about this, Mio! I wish I could vote again.” She sighed. “Whatever the votes are, I can't wait to hear them sing together.”

Neither could the cool idol as she watched the timer tick down. There was only a minute or so left, and now the screen was flashing in the members' image colors. First green, then a light pink. Red and blue followed, and then it was down to the final five as the seconds ticked down. Yellow, lavender, cyan, and then finally the screen glowed a mix of hot pink and orange. The logo flashed, and it was show time.

“Hey there, YouTube!” Tsukamoto Lena was the MC from the looks of things. Her bight red bandanna took up the screen as she sat back to reveal the members gathered. “We counted the votes, now it's time to show off our new sub units!”

Her twin brother, Tsukamoto Ritsu, nodded next to her. “We got a lot of votes, and competition was really fierce.”

“Y'all tried to kill each other. Nice.” Ray Jones, co-founder and Aikatsu's greatest punk badass by most accounts interjected from the background. “But, enough flapping gums. Let's get the cute one out of the way first.”

Aine's eyes practically glowed as she moved closer. “A cute unit? I wonder what that could be!”

Mio was already running calculations in her head, matching types and aesthetics. Probably because of that, she didn't notice three of the people on screen shift to the front. It was only when her partner gasped that she looked up at all.

She got half credit for Ayame, but how was she supposed to know Lilavati and Lena would be included in the mix?

“Hi, everyone. Thanks for putting us together. I'm Ayame, leader of the sub unit. You know Lila-chan and Lena-chan, so without further ado it's time to reveal our subunit name.”

And then they spoke together, flashing a pose that somehow didn't look off on the non-cute members. “Miko Mikan, nice to meet you!”

…

“Their name is so cute!” Aine practically squealed. “I hope their coords make them look like shrine maidens, you never see those on stage!”

Mio frowned as she ran through her calculations. “Yes... cute. Ayame-san must have come up with the name since Rira-san is a sexy type and Lena-san is a cool.”

There went her calculations. She had put the idols in completely different units. Why their fans had sought to combine them was beyond her. Maybe she was a little bitter her vote had lost... but there were still hope for other combinations.

“Look for our first song in a month or so.” Lilavati was calm as she turned to the rest of the group. “It's quite the experience, no?”

“Nerds.” From the background, Dai's baritone and Ray's tenor echoed in harmony. Lila winked at them both, something of a game between them. But she soon moved with her subunit to where they had been sitting before. Now six members and two units remained.

The comment section from what Mio saw was going crazy with remaining predictions. It was an even split among Ray-Vaughan-Ji-min and Ai-Dai-Ritsu. Her strongest choice was still mostly there, so all she could do was hope her vote was right.

Though... why she was getting so into this was beyond her.

Ritsu was the one to take the stage next, flashing a calm smile. “Well, we're all looking forward to what Miko Mikan has to show us. I'll announce the second unit... which I lead.”

Was it just Mio, or did his cheeks color. “Would my fellow unit members please join me?”

“Like you even have to ask, Ritchan!” Dai hopped up with a twirl of his skirt. He motioned behind him. “Come on, V, let's show them!”

Aine and Mio's eyes widened as they watched the three male members of Sunburst take the center stage together. Ritsu was definitely blushing a little as he stood among Sunburst's co founder and fashion expert. Next to them, maybe he was a little... subdued.

“Anyway, nice to meet you. We're What is Man!”

They didn't pose like Miko Mikan did. However, the aesthetic alone of Vaughan's tie-dye against Dai's modified school uniform and Ritsu's subdued colors was enough to draw attention. Mio's brain had officially short-circuited.

And she had thought the last unit was weird?

“What is... Man?” Aine cocked her head to the side. “Did I hear them right?”

She turned to her Friend. “Mio, you speak English, what does that mean?”

Yeah, she spoke English... but that wasn't exactly proper English. Her brain plowed through various definitions of each word, trying to find meaning. After a few seconds of straining, it came up with what seemed like a Sunburst explanation.

“I think... they're going for a questioning of what it means to be masculine.” She nodded her head to the members. “Which makes sense if you look at who's there.”

Aine nodded, comprehension lighting up her eyes. “Oh! Because Dai-chan wears a skirt and Ritsu-”

She paused. “Right, we're not supposed to mention that. I won't forget!”

And the cute idol smiled her famous make a million friends grin that still set Mio's heart to thumping two years after she had first seen it by the river bank. She shook her head to focus back on the screen in front of her. The views had doubled, and the comments were getting even more intense.

After all... there was only one unit left.

“Anyway, look forward to our first song. It's...” Ritsu turned to his sister. “Interesting?”

Lena nodded, so he turned back to the screen. “Right. Well, then I'll turn things over to the leader of our last subunit.”

What is Man joined Miko Mikan on the other side of the screen. Now, only three members remained unnamed. Ray was the first one to stand, heads above the rest of her group as Ji-min and Ai followed her to the front. Even just standing there, their aura was intimidating.

Aine swallowed hard next to her. “That... is probably  the cool unit.”

“No doubt.” Mio nodded as she watched the members of the last subunit position themselves. Then, Ray's piercing green eyes were focused directly on the viewer as she cleared her throat. She didn't need to, but it was presentation.

The comments were already calling them the edge lord group, and Mio found herself agreeing.

“Anyway, we're up last. No surprises there. You know me, I lead this asshole brigade.”

“Well now we can't air this in Seoul.” Ji-min shook her head. “Hopefully you installed the bleep, Ai?”

The oldest idol nodded. “We're good. I coded in Carlin-san and we're on a small delay anyway.”

Smart.

Ray didn't seem embarrassed as she regained her train of thought. “So, name. Get ready, cause here comes Death's Door!”

And was she grinning as she turned to her unit mates? “By the way, 'asshole' isn't on the seven dirty words list. Might want to update it.”

As the rest of her unit groaned, Mio and Aine exchanged blank looks. The name was still processing as the chat erupted in emojis and laughter. In the end, they could only come to one decision on the choice of name.

Ray had definitely picked it.

“By the way, we all came up with the name.” Or not.

Ai was still shaking her head as she keyed at something on her phone. “Look for our next song once I finish programming all the dirty words Ray can't say on  TV.”

“How did we miss that one?” Ji-min snapped back to herself at the last second. “Anyway, this is Lee Ji-min with AI.Doru and Ray Jones with Death's Door. Hope you enjoy our song.”

And then Lena and Ritsu were back on camera to let their fans know about upcoming events. Mio and Aine didn't really watch that part, pausing it instead to take in all the details. A schedule of songs was posted off to the side, color-coded for each unit. To say they stood out from each other was putting it mildly.

Only in Sunburst could those combos happen.

“I... well it's Sunburst.” Mio shook her head. “I think I want to hear Ritsu-san's unit song first. There's a lot of opportunities with their song styles and coords.”

Aine nodded her head so fast her bow almost fell off. “Miko Mikan it my fist pick! But I want to hear Death's Door too because they have some really passionate members... and What is Man sounds interesting to. Oh, I just can't pick!”

She turned back to the stream, fidgeting anew. “I can't wait to see what everyone on Kirakiratter has to say about this.”

It... was probably a nightmare, knowing the cluster of fans that grouped under the Sunburst umbrella. Still, Mio found she couldn't wait either. Just from watching the stream, she had a feeling that her night was going to be occupied by analyzing data of the reveal.

Leave it to Sunburst to drive their fans into a frenzy and leave them wanting more. Now that was some high quality self production... though she could only imagine what kind of stages would come out of it. After all... who combines opera, funk, and para-para?

...

Probably the same people who stuck punk rock, EDM, and hip-hop together, or grouped Indian music with metal and koto. Sunburst fans were weird.

Reading wise my month didn’t start off particularly well, it took me about a week to actually pick up a book and when I did I choose The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.  Although this book had been on my radar for a while, I decided to read it when it was named the Book in a Jar (which is a monthly book club on Goodreads run by G at Book Roast). For those of you who don’t know what THUG is about; Starr Carter is a 16 year old who witnesses her best friend Khalil fatally shot by a police officer. The book goes on to talk about the aftermath of his death: the media painting Khalil as a thug, the cops and a local drug dealer trying to frighten Starr and her family and in midst of this Starr is deciding whether or not to speak up about Khalil’s death. This book was everything I expected and more, a definite 5/5 stars for me. I was enraptured the whole time, I thought Starr was a great person and not once did I want to put the book down. I think more than anything this book allowed me an insight into a community I wouldn’t otherwise see, including an insider view on the way America deals with police violence. 

The next book I picked was Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff, again this was another book I had known about for a while and since the last book in the series came out this month and I had a long train journey coming up I thought I would see what it was like. Illuminae is set in the year 2575 where the people of Kerenza have just been attacked and lost their home. Those who survived that must now tackle two corporations fighting each other, a deadly plague and an AI that was meant to help them going crazy. I don’t know how helpful a description that was but if you like sci-fi you definitely have to pick up this book! Another 5/5 for me. The book is written through a set of interviews, emails, military files etc... which I know some people haven’t enjoyed but I found unique, the plot was definitely strong enough and actually I felt really suited the format. Which is why I couldn’t help myself and I ordered the next books in the series, really an impulse buy, but I have no regrets. 

Holly Black’s The Cruel Prince has been on my shelf since January, after seeing so many rave about it and because I love fantasy this had to be my next read. Jude is the main character of The Cruel Prince, she and her two sisters were stolen and taken to Faerie at a young age. Now she wants nothing more than to stay there and prove her worth to do so she makes a deal with one of Faerie’s princes finding herself right in the heart of Court intrigues. Once again a 5/5 read for me, the characters were amazing. I wish I had Jude’s strength and courage and even though Cardan was a jerk for a lot of the book I still loved him. This was my first time reading one of Holly Black’s books,  I really enjoyed her writing style and the twists in this book. I can’t wait for The Wicked King to be released, I don’t know how I’ll survive the wait until next January. 

I technically finished Shea Ernshaw’s The Wicked Deep on 1st April but it’s so close I am going to include it here. I received this book in this month’s Book Box Club and it was another enjoyable read for me, only a 4/5 but still good. In The Wicked Deep the town of Sparrow is cursed, every summer three woman rise from the dead to drown three boys as they themselves were drowned two centuries before. Penny Talbot is a resident of the town and like everyone else is resigned to it’s fate but when Bo Carter comes to town everything is turned on it’s head. This was a small read, only 320 pages, but I felt it took a couple of chapters to get fully underway. Still I liked the Ernshaw’s writing, it was very atmospheric and I could easily picture Sparrow throughout the book. Penny and Bo both had secrets I was keen to undercover, and the Swan sisters’s relationship was so close knit. However the main action happened in the last 20 or so pages and for me felt a bit rushed, the ending as well was okay but almost stilted in comparison to the beginning which is why I down marked it to four stars.

This wasn’t my best reading month but I enjoyed all four books immensely so I can’t really complain. I’m hoping April will be just as good or possibly better even though I do have to reign in my hauls a little.  I will be posting a quick TBR soon. To anyone who read this far: thank you so much!
