“So, what is it like when you become E.N.D.?”

Natsu looked over at her. Lucy was lying on her stomach, waving her bare legs in the air as she read through a book. She was sitting up on her elbows now, looking up at him. “What’s got you thinking about that all of a sudden?” he wondered.

Lucy ran a delicate finger along the page of her book. "Something I read here reminded me of that Tartaros guy, Jackal. He was able to choose between his forms at will, remember? Can you do that? Or is he something separate from you entirely?”

Natsu hummed thoughtfully, trying to remember the feelings he’d experienced in his limited transformations. “I think I could learn to do it….I remember what happens when I take that form, so it’s not like I’m….gone or anything."

Lucy nodded and tapped her lip thoughtfully. “Well….I think you should try. It’s way better to know you can do it before you need to, right?” She crossed her ankles in the air and rolled onto her side. Natsu smiled slightly, tracing the line of her nose with his finger. She licked his fingertip as it traced her lip and he chuckled

“You want me to try right now? What if I destroy the room? It was expensive you know,” he teased, knowing it would get a reaction. She poked him in the chest. “You said you know what’s going on, so you better not! I need the whole reward to pay my rent.”

Natsu chuckled, then frowned. “What if I hurt you?”

Lucy sat up on her knees beside him. “You never have. Do you want to? When you’re like that, I mean?” Natsu scoffed and gave her a look that made his answer obvious. “Okay then, why not try it?”

Natsu shifted his feet to the floor and stood up, dropping his scarf to the bed. “All right, but I…. I don’t know how well I’ll behave without a battle to distract me from you.” Before Lucy could ask what he meant, she felt the room warm as magic power welled up within him. There was so much that it caused the hair on her arms to stand on end. Natsu screwed up his face in concentration as the power within him reached its peak.

The level of energy dancing around him created strong waves of hot air that gusted off of him, blowing Lucy’s hair wildly. She snatched his scarf up as it started to blow off the bed and bit her lip watching him. Something in the well of power around him seemed to snap and all the magic vanished in a flash. Lucy started forward in alarm. She could barely feel any magic in him at all! Had something gone wrong?

Natsu’s body shuddered, and dark red scales began surfacing along his arms and up the sides of his face. His hands cracked as claws sprouted from the tips of his fingers. Massive crimson wings sprouted from his shoulder blades with a sickening crunch, and twin horns grew out of his pink hair.

“Etherious Natsu Dragneel….” Lucy murmured, studying him. The form usually dissipated whenever she got close to him, so it was her first chance to really look at him.

“Ugh, Natsu works just fine.”

Fated - mini update series

The day Lucy was born was notably the worst to occur in the history of the empire of Crocus. For their princess, their heir, was burdened with a curse. 

Her soul was stained, claimed an oracle, stained and tainted by the mark of a demon. 

How this came about, there was no one answer. Be it fate or the silent wish of a jealous witch, she was cursed.

And one day it would catch up, find her, steal her away, make her his bride. There was no avoiding this predestined fate, the scent of a demon not far behind her.

But it wasn’t as dark or foreboding as humans always thought when it came to demons and the underworld Tartaros.

It wasn’t a stain, but a half. Lucy bore half the soul of her destined love born at the precise moment she was. 

Her parents, the king and queen, feared this inevitable fate for their innocent daughter. How could she live knowing that a horrid demon planned to take her away and devour her heart? For that is what they were most known for. 

They couldn’t subject their only child to constant fear or the reality knowing her future was doomed before it even started.

They couldn’t do it, so they decided that they wouldn’t.

No one knew of her fate save for a few trusted fellows. It was too much of a burden to keep it entirely a secret, so they told only those they knew wouldn’t betray their trust. 

She would grow up as normally as she could. With a zest for life and learning, with the poise of a young ruler, and the energy of a spirited young girl.

Soon enough, they’d have to send her away. It’d be harder, of course, for the demon to find her if they kept her safe on holy ground. Hoping that if she stayed high up in a peaceful tower for long enough, she’d be forgotten and the curse lifted.

MY SITUATION .

hello everyone ! if you’re aware, you know im currently back from my break!

But my situation hasn’t gotten any better.

Today on tuesday, July 30th 2024, 3:42 am as I am writing this.

My mental (and physical) health has worsened since everything had happend, My parents have been making me feel genuinely worst

I just happened to be in a call with a friend before oh- the first time, my parents came in and yelled at me.. my mother raised her hands up a bit, yes but. She usually does that so usually I am not affected by it but today was just. horrible.

After the first couple times they did this, they turned the wifi completely off, I was still In a call with said friend but I was muted. My parents were being absolutely horrible.

I would go detail by detail. syaing hooe the whole wrugement started but No, only thing I’ll be saying is.

My mother went absolutely ballistic and was trying to open my locked door. (Which I Have video of) she kept hurting md, threw something at me and just absolutely started screaming at me , she jus wnt crzy

My father laid his hands on me for the first time today aswell, it was a truly horrifying experience. I’ve always preferred my father over my mother yet - today trigged something inside my brain ? Made me genuinely hate him - myself , everyone around me. My younger brother was sleeping , yet we were fighting in his room .

The argument affected me, it was only an hour ago? .. couple minutes . im

I forgot how heteronormative the Fairy Tail fandom was back in 2015-2019, it could have been happening way before, but still.

Whenever I read fanfics religiously, I began reading Fairy Tail fanfiction years ago and it was always one of these books, that I read and it was either betrayal stories (I will not specify, some may already know) or...

Slayer Season stuff, kill me, and when reading these stories, I would see ships... I had no idea even existed but because I was dumb as hell and didn't finish the show, meaning I was walking on eggshells towards spoilers, I didn't but I remember Acnologia being mentioned and it unlocked some shitty memories.

Don't know how this came to be, people see them as the Natsu and Lucy of the past but my interception being that Acnologia is a genocidal type of guy while Anna barely knows of his existence, I don't want their defenders coming after me when I say I ship AnnRene (Anna x Irene) Wait- Milfs together, Irene being with someone who won't leave her, can listen to her, while they stay in the library finding information and sharing with each other in a cottage- GUESS WHO JUST GOT A NEW CRACK SHIP- men didn't work out for Irene, so women would do much better- all in all, I understand what they're going for, but just no. Just no.

I don't understand. How in the fu-, I think what they were going for was how Kagura owned Yukino's life for about three days, and in the equivalent of StinYu, they needed RoguRa, They've never had any interaction, Kagura only argued with Sting over Yukino being in Mermaid Heel or SaberTooth, but even with all her interaction with men, she lacks interest in them, hell even Mashima didn't show signs of any guy approaching Kagura, fuck I might have jinxed my girl, although it pissed me off on how she got exposed to a lot of men in her "fight" against Dimaria, when Kagura is with Erza, genuinely she's more romantic with Erza instead of a MALE, Kagura KISSED Erza, KISSED!! Farther than any of the semi-canon ships can come up to, Kagura asked to be little Erza's little sister? Nah, it was avoiding her obvious wlw attraction, Rogue never interacted with her, he acknowledges her abilities, Kagura vs Millianna, he was genuine Kagura would win, I mean ofc she would, he saw her against Yukino, against Lyon and that mf is strong.

A lot of ships, specially some so-called crackships from the fandom really are rooted in heteronormativity, like with Rogue x Kagura or bickslow x lisanna (which later got more people actually putting in the thought process for their dynamic but i'm convinced it started to get lis out of the way of nalu), i don't know what kind of brain rot the early fandom had to just write "female character is hated on for no reason" or "smut that's this 👌 close to being omegaverse". I started reading ft fics in like 2014 and the first one i read was a just so full of lisanna and loke bashing cause of course they're "keeping Lucy and Natsu from being able to date each other", and today i find it so out of place cause i remember the rest of the plot was perfectly fine.

I feel like annalogia is like EndLu two electric boogaloo, like the pipeline was: nalu->EndLu ->AcnoLu (i remember seeing that being shipped)-> Annalogia

Which is objectively inferior to Annarene, like if you want to ship her with someone who's partially a dragon Irene is right there and asking for her character to do something. I'm a big fan of the possible things you can do with them even if I have never written about them besides them being funky lesbian vodka aunts in a luvia selkie au and i also love when milfs are paired together.

Shipping Kagura with any male character should be considered lesbophobia (/j). Of all possibly canon queer characters, i think she's the one where is the most explicit that she's a into women even before she kissed Erza, and has never shown the interest to men that other female characters have. To ship her with any guy, but ESPECIALLY with rogue who i think she has never had a meaningful conversation with (correct me if i'm wrong) is heteronormativity at it's finest and i have the theory it was made like that because people who shipped sabertooth members with each other were too cowardly to consider sting x yukino x rogue and Minerva was not redeemed yet. Kagura is like peak dyke activity/relatability, even if she did confuse her attraction to Erza, this woman has never non-platonically liked men in her life.

And ok i know some of these ships have shippers that actually see how they could happen or how it would work out in canon. more power to you, that's not my issue. my issue is that it's obvious many of the most accepted "crackships" were straight because the fandom couldn't even fathom lesbianism as a viable option

Instead of the lancing pain of a knife, the only thing that came was a dull thud, a sizzling sound, and a scream from Invel. Whatever had happened was over now, and Natsu’s incredibly warm hand reached out and broke the collar off of her, tossing it aside.

She blinked up at him slowly, and with a jolt, she realized that his arms were covered in the scales of his demon form. “Oh….Hi,” she breathed. “W-was it that close?”

E.N.D. gave her a sharp-toothed grin. “I didn’t let it get that close.” He turned to look back at Invel’s smoking, unconscious form. “He said he wanted this me, so that’s what he got.”

He turned back to her and cupped her face gently. “I know I have to go back to normal soon, but before I do…. Lucy, you aren’t afraid of me…are you?”

“No! Of course not!”

He nodded with another grin. “Good. I don’t want you to be afraid of me,” he said softly. He leaned down and brushed his lips against hers softly. Lucy froze, momentarily wondering if the collar had returned, but it was just his lips that had stopped her ability to think. Before she could properly react, he pulled away and dropped his arms.

His scales vanished and before she knew it, Natsu was cupping her face again, in a perfect imitation of the way E.N.D. had just held her. His warm thumbs stroked her cheekbones gently as he looked her over.

“You’re too cold,” he muttered, and pulled her into his arms, enveloping her in his heat.

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ -Later in the Story- /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

“Aww, c’mon Lucy,” he whined, moving to squat by her side. “I can put my scales on if that would help. You let me kiss you last time I let them show.”

Lucy gasped and turned to look at him disbelievingly. “You remember that?! But you acted like nothing happened!”

Natsu laughed. “Yeah, I remember. E.N.D. isn’t some other person inside me you know. He’s just me with more memories and less hesitation. You acted like nothing happened too you know. Makes me glad I got to see this,” he said, setting the paper on her desk.

Lucy shifted the other papers on top of it, not wanting to see the source of her embarrassment. “Why?” she mumbled, picking at a splinter on the edge of her desk so she wouldn’t have to look at him.

“Because it makes me a lot more confident that I could kiss you again without getting my ass Lucy Kicked.”
