summary: You and Colby have been dating for nearly two years, enduring long distance and making the best out of time zones and chaotic work/ school schedules. The two of you knew one day the distance would be shortened to where there would be no more planes needed to see each other, and date night could finally be more than just facetiming and watching a movie together at the same time. One of you just happened to know it would be happening sooner rather than later.

No one ever expected Colby and I’s relationship to last, and I couldn’t really blame them. On the outside looking in, It seemed like it was a storm waiting to happen. Colby, a very well known social media content creator, constantly traveling and investigating new locations with his best friend in and outside the country, and lives on the west coast of the united states. Me, a non social media content creator, studying emergency paramedicine, lives on the east coast, and never even had a passport until two months ago. The main thing people always loved to throw at us was the distance. ‘Why date someone who lives a 5 hour plane ride away, when there’s plenty of people here in the same state for you to choose from?’

I personally didn’t fully expect us to be where we are right now when I met Colby over two years ago. It’s crazy how things happen though, how quickly you connect with a person. It’s as if I’d known him my whole life, as if I was connecting with an old friend I hadn’t seen in years that night at the bar. We talked and talked for hours, the rest of the crowded bar tuned out and all I saw was him. Colby and his friends he had traveled to the east coast with a few days later after we first ended up coming over to my apartment for a game night after constantly texting and getting to know each other more. Ironically, one of his friends that came with him, I knew from my childhood. Talk about a small world.

The buzzing of my cellphone in my hand snapped me out of the daydream I was in. A smile quickly spread across my face as I spotted Colby’s name on the caller ID before answering.

“Finally waking up, Mr. Brock?” I smiled as I held the phone to my ear.

“I’m so sorry beautiful, I slept through my alarm. I totally planned on waking up earlier to be able to talk to you in case you began to stress over your exam today.” His morning voice was something that always caught me off guard, the deep rasp. It always made me yearn for the day I’d be able to hear it in person, and not over the phone.

Of course over the past two years we’ve met up and spent time together, however it was usually when him and Sam were on a trip to film or when I had a small break between semesters at school and could afford to visit him.

“It’s okay Colby, I promise.” I smiled to myself and attempted to contain my excitement as I scanned the empty apartment once more. “I’ve been just cleaning and relaxing on the couch. I think if I tried reading any more of my textbooks my eyeballs might fall out of my head.”

Colby chuckled as my apartment door swung open, and I quickly muted myself as Seth, the friend of Colby’s that I’ve known since childhood came in. “Who’s ready to mo- oh shit, are you on the phone?” He quickly covered his mouth with a hand.

“Yeah, with Colby.” I giggled before giving him a ‘shh’ and taking myself off mute.

“You’re going to do great. You always do great. This is the final bridge needing to be crossed and then I’ll be able to have you in my arms every night and hear about the crazy encounters you have at work in person. God, I can’t wait for that to be real, beautiful. I miss you so much.”

“I can’t believe that it’s finally here. Just this semester and then I’m done, graduated, nationally registered to work anywhere in the country. By the way, My supervisor reached out to the base that’s not far from where you live, and they have an open paramedic spot that is up for grabs.” I bit my bottom lip and glanced at Seth who also shared the same nervous look.

I’ve always hated lying, and lying to Colby these past few months have been absolute torture. But he’s always the one surprising me, I wanted to finally surprise him. I ended up taking an earlier program that Colby didn’t know about, which allowed me to graduate and become a paramedic three months ago. However, Colby still thought I had another two months to go. During this time since finishing school, I’ve been working and studying protocols for the state I’d be moving to, coordinating with Sam on shipping my stuff to Vegas from New England without Colby seeing the boxes, selling stuff I don’t need to bring, and basically getting ready to move to Vegas. Of course, Colby knew this day would be coming, as we have a whole checklist we share on google docs to make sure we have everything lined up for when the day comes, He just doesn’t know it’s happening sooner. Or that I’m going to be there, in like 12 hours.

“Baby, Is it okay if I let you go? I can call you back later. I have to bring my phone to the apple store, I finally got an appointment to get my battery fixed.” I ran a hand through my hair, constantly reminding myself mentally the lying would be over soon.

“Oh good, I’m so glad you got that appointment babe, I have to get going anyway. Sam and I have to go meet up with some friends to film a video, but text or call me as soon as you finish your exam okay? I love you.”

After saying goodbye and hanging up, I groaned and laid back on the empty granite counter. “Dude, no wonder you hate lying. Thank god that wasn’t a facetime call or one look at your face and Colby would see your face and just know you were hiding something.” Seth chuckled and I flipped him the bird.

“Can we go get coffee before we head to the airport? This whole not having my own car thing sucks.” Seth chuckled once more before nodding and holding out his rental keys that I snatched out his hand before he could speak. “Yes, I’ll drive. You drive worse than my grandmother.”

“Now boarding Group A.”

“I’m really flying to Vegas without a return ticket.” I mumbled as I handed my ticket to the flight attendant at the gate. I glanced over my shoulder at Seth who stood behind me, laughing. “You’re finally moving to Vegas. Which means Sam and I won’t have to hear Colby talk about how much he misses your voice all the time and try to figure out what haunted places we could go see near where you live.”

“Are you sure he won’t question why my phone is off for over five hours? I mean we don’t talk on the phone all day every day, but we usually check in over text to say Hi and that we miss each other or something. I don’t think a phone battery replacement would take five hours.” I buckled my seatbelt once Seth and I got to our assigned seats. “You seriously worry too much.” Seth patted my hand as he smiled. “We’ve got it all figured out. He isn’t going to have any time to check his phone with what they’re filming.”

“This is going to be a long ass five hours, Seth. This is why teleportation should be a thing. I could already be there, with Colby.” I sighed as I turned to look out the window, anxiously tapping my foot on the ground. Seth laughed and out of the corner of my eye, I spotted him hold his phone out to take a photo.

“Don’t you dare post that.” I looked at him wide eyed, which caused Seth to laugh more. “Relax, It’s a video. For memories.” I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms across my chest. “Should I yell it out now that you��re a paramedic, just in case there’s a medical emergency?”

“Don’t you dare. I’m too nervous to provide any care, nor do I want to start my career as a medic off by taking care of someone on a plane. Why aren’t we moving yet?” I peered up and around the seats, huffing as I noticed not everyone was seated.

“God this is going to be so funny to look back on.” Seth mumbled as he put his phone down.

“I’ve got all your stuff in the storage unit, and your car should be arriving in the next few days.” Sam smiled as he drove Seth and I from the airport. Colby was back at the house editing and thinking Sam had just gone out to get food for the two of them. “It’s really good to finally see you, by the way. Colby is going to lose his mind.”

“I’m so nervous.” I mumbled looking out the window of the car and taking in the change of scenery. “He thinks I’m still in my exam right now.”

“Oh I know. Dude is a love sick puppy right now.” Sam laughs and gives me a smile. “Once we get to the house, I’m going to go inside to ask Colby to come out and help me grab some stuff from my car, but in reality it will only be you.” He added while Seth readjusted the camera on the dash of the car. I nodded and prayed we’d be arriving at the house soon.

Once at the house, I laid down in the back seat of the car to hide until Colby came out. “Yeah it’s on the passenger side in the back, If you can just grab it for me as well as the camera!” Sam called out, signaling that Colby was coming my way. Before I knew it, the door was swung open and I quickly sat up and smiled as my eyes landed on Colby. “Surprise!”

Colby stared in shock for a moment, eyes wide with confusion. Next thing I knew, He was grabbing my legs and pulling me out of the vehicle and up into his arms. My arms quickly wrapped around his neck, resting my head on his shoulder and wrapping my legs around him as he held me. “What is going on?” Colby yelled out, turning to glance at his friends back at the doorway before slamming the car door and moving so I was pressed against it and using one of his hands to pull my head back so he could see my face. “You have an exam?” His eyebrows furrowed.

“Baby.” I laughed softly. “Oh my gosh I’ve absolutely hated lying to you. I graduated early, That’s why I was so busy over break and couldn’t see you. I didn’t tell you because I wanted to surprise you by being able to finally be here sooner than you thought.” I cupped his face in my hands and blinking back tears as I finally got a good look at him. “I can’t believe I’m here.”

“I missed your graduation?” He frowned, resting his forehead against mine. “I’m so confused baby.” He quickly closed the distance between us and kissed me gently. “But dear god have I been dying to kiss you.” He mumbled against my lips.

“No, It was a winter graduation so there’s no walk you didn’t miss anything.” I kissed him once more. “But I’m here. no more distance. It’s finally broken.” I ran a hand through his hair as I stared into his blue eyes. Colby pulled me closer once more and began kissing me again, deeper this time before beginning to head towards the house. “You guys should probably head our for a while.” Colby mumbled as he passed Sam and Seth, his gaze still set on me. “Already planned on it. We’ll be back later. Welcome home!” Sam called out as Colby walked away from them, still carrying me. I let out a small laugh and began kissing Colby’s cheeks and playing with his hair at the nape of his neck.

“I can’t believe you lied.” Colby fake pouted as he gently tossed me on his, ours now, bed before climbing on top of me. “But it was so worth it.” He mumbled before kissing me. “Now it’s time for me to welcome you home.” He smirked.

Prank| Sam and Colby

You, Elton, Corey and Sam and Colby were exploring an abandoned city, full of half wrecked buildings. It was creepy in itself but Elton had a plan to scare all of you.

Once you were in one of the houses someone came up from the shadows. People in black habits and masks, most holding knife, or some kind of weapon. It was a cult for sure.

They made all of you go down into the basement area and instructed everyone to sit against one wall.

Then they tied you all up. " what are you doing in our place?! You kids think you can fuck around here!" One of them yelled making you flinch.

" get away from them" Sam yelled and it made the people angry, someone put a knife to his neck.

"Don't please don't hurt us" you begged not wanting your friends hurt.

" we were about to do a ritual and now we have so many potential sacrifices now"

You felt pure terror at that you looked at your friends seeing the people being in the face of everyone as if truly picking the best person for the sacrifice.

Someone got a gas tank in hand and was ready to pour it on Colby.

"No please don't!"

That's when everyone turned to you and started laughing making everyone but Elton confused. The mask were off and you could breathe again as you realized it was a prank.

I know it's short and not really good but I literally wrote it as I got it in my head.

I myself am trying to catch up on this corey stuff. I'm so lost

okay, i'm gonna give the quickest of rundowns on this whole thing.

aka i watched elton's video so everyone doesn't have to lol

so to give the slightest bit of backstory, corey left tfil/overnight/haunted homies a couple months back. he then came out with a video in april saying that the reason he left is bc he wants to pursue other ventures, in particular sketch comedy bc that's so timely. but he also said he would still be doing ghost hunting, just not with elton. around this time he also unfollowed elton, and devyn on her secret twitter was shitting on elton in some way (but idk what she said bc it's private). him and devyn have also started back up their old channel where they ghost hunt. and corey... i think... has posted some vlogs or whatever here and there on his main channel. but idk for certain since i don't watch him.

now, for some reason, elton has decided to clear the air on what happened with him and corey bc his leaving was very abrupt and confused a lot of fans.

imma just bullet point this list as best i can bc wow does that man love to talk and say almost nothing for over an hour.

THIS IS ALL ALLEGED, I'M JUST QUOTING WHAT ELTON SAID

elton alluded to corey possibly being the reason why the beef with snc lasted so long; mostly bc corey loves talking shit on ppl he's collabed with in the past. and full on would tell elton not to recollab with certain paranormal ppl bc. in particular, exploring with josh (who was also surprised to find out corey shit talked him since he commented "what" on elton's video)

the main portion of the video was solely to explain that while corey allegedly claims to be broke or not have made much money off of the overnight channel/tfil, elton very much begs to fucking differ

corey would get paid roughly $10k A WEEK during investigations, trips, whatever. elton also stated that he would pay anyone that would go on trips with them, roughly $2500 for the day, but that would fluctuate depending on the circumstances.

corey technically made over half a mil a year for the past couple years bc of elton paying him to be on the channel. elton also stated that corey makes more than elton on the channel bc elton basically pays for everything while corey has no stake in the claim.

corey did literally no work bts whatsoever. never suggested any places to go to, never paid for anything (not the hotel, driving, booking of spots, ect), and then on top of it never did any work like editing, getting ghost equipment, research. elton did everything, but would pay corey 50% since he was the other person on the channel mainly.

corey would flake out of a lot of things last minute for unknown reasons. or when they would discuss things to do/places to go, he would just not do it or go. and sometimes this would play out on camera, and to elton's justification, is why he would seem to "force" corey to do things. basically bc it was agreed on beforehand, only for corey to not do it once they got there.

during a charity livestream that was supposed to last for about a week (if not longer), corey claimed to feel ill, did nothing to help himself, and then left the charity livestream early.

then the fans that donated the most during that stream were supposed to fly out and meet elton and corey (all expenses paid by elton himself). corey decided last minute not to meet fans. elton then had to give refunds to some ppl who had wanted to meet corey.

corey would get a cut of the shares when it came to merch as well. even tho he wouldn't design it, be the one paying to ship it out, nothing. they created the haunted bundles that they did on the tfil site just so corey could make more money.

elton got rid of some of his staff just so corey could make more money/be paid more

the haunted homies tour that they did, elton planned all of it and created it bc corey wanted to do more funny bits instead of all of the haunted stuff. bc… it was corey's dream to eventually end up on snl. no, i am not joking. that is something elton actually claims corey wants lol

the second haunted homies tour, the one with matt rife, corey was contractually obligated to post about it/tell their editor in time what clips he would want to repost on his accounts. corey never did that/would take too long to get back to them on what he wanted, and then would later ask for certain clips to be removed from the vids long after the video was already up.

elton gifted $10k to corey bc he claimed to need more money… even after all of this shit played out

they had to make less content last year bc of how often corey would just not do projects with him/would flake out last minute

at the beginning of this year, elton had a bunch of tfil trips planned, with overnight videos in between also being filmed. basically had it laid out that they would only have to film for the first couple months, and then pick up filming again in october. so almost the entire year was planned out. he was just waiting for corey to sign off on it.

elton travels to some place (i'm blanking on it now) and then gets a single text from corey that says "hey man, i've wanted to bring this up for a while, but this year i'm gonna pull back from overnight and just focus on myself" with no explanation or conversation. and since that text, he has basically ghosted elton irl and online. but has apparently been saying things to friends in common that old roommates (like elton and whoever else all lived with them these past couple years) has stole shit from him, ect. and in general, he has been talking shit on elton bts.

i think that's everything i can remember off the top of my head that elton alleged. if i remember anything else, i'll add it. but this was pretty much a good chunk of the vid.

basically, the general gist is corey had one job: show up and make money. and he couldn't even do that lol

I wasn't there when the "drama" started either.

And I never wanted to feed into it.

So, seeing Corey and Elton with Sam and Colby, talking and giving love to each other, makes me happy.

And I know they're friends with Jake still since they have been hanging out.

Stop spreading lies. It ended up hurting them in the end whether or not they talked it out.

Elton, Corey, Sam, and Colby were going on a trip this week and originally Penelope was going to stay at home alone but the four surprised her saying she gets to go too. Mainly it was because Sam and Colby asked Elton if she could go because since she broke up with Darwin, he keeps going by their place banging on the door before running off.

Corey had no problem with her going since he found her nice to have around. She was the youngest but she always made sure everyone was okay. She basically was a mom to them and she saw her like a little sister. So Elton agreed that she could go with them, but deep down Penelope felt like she was intruding on them.

She really felt like it for the place they were staying at. Elton and Corey shared a bed, and Sam and Colby shared a bed. So Penelope would end up having g to share the bed with Sam and Colby. They didn't care whatsoever even though the bed was just for two people.

At that moment Penelope sat and watched the four act like they were making an action trailer playing around with all the drones flying around. She had herself bundled up and curled up.

"I say that should win an Oscar." She joined them as they finished.

"Why thank you." Corey laughs freezing.

"You guys ready to go to an 80-foot underground sauna pool thinking?" Elton asks so they all say yes.

For the car ride, none of them wanted to get out when they arrived because it was so warm in the car. "Mine you, we only brought one towel." Sam speaks up.

"No, that's my towel and Peeps added hers too." Colby corrects them.

Inside Sam and Elton go to buy themselves towels while the other three wait for them, "Has your ex tried contacting you?" Corey asks Penelope.

"I blocked him on everything but he still tries to stalk my socials. It's whatever. When we get back and he still comes by the apartment we're calling the police on him." She explains to him.

"He never gives up. I had to block him myself." Colby bitches as the two come back so they head out to the sauna.

The only thing Penelope hated was they had to wear life jackets because they made her feel like it was choking her.

"I need my buddy." Colby swims towards Penelope.

"No, leave me alone." She swims away from him and pushes the other guys into his path.

She relaxes by herself for a bit till Elton calls her, "Penny, Colby's dead." He laughs so she looks over to see him face down in the water.

"I'll save him." She plays along and runs him right-side up.

"Now, give him mouth to mouth." He tells her.

"For one, you're not supposed to do that just chest compressions." She points out then tickles Colby making him move.

"I hate you. You know I hate that!" He does it back to her making her squeal.

After some time they get out to dry off and wrap their towels around them while Corey asks about his towel. "It's negative 40 degrees outside and no one and no one told me to get a towel." He looks at them but then gets a towel from a stranger.

Outside a fan notices the guys and they chat for a while before four out of five get in the car cold and hungry. "No of guy guys want to touch the horse?" Elton asks. "I'm gonna go touch the horse. I'm gonna go play with the horse." He closes the driver's side door so Penelope gets out going across Sam.

"Penny!"

"I change my mind!" She rushes after him, "I wanna touch them!" She giggles taking a bit of hay to give to the horse and it eats it as she pets it with Elton.

"You a horse girl?" He asks making her laugh.

"No, but I love animals. Okay, we can go back now." She runs back to the car and he follows. They let Penelope back in the car but not Elton.

They also end up at a bowling alley to eat and after some time two more fans show up because they saw their Snapchat at where they were.

"I say we put a wager on the line here. Whoever does the best gets a bed to themselves tonight. Whoever's the worst sleeping on the floor." Elton says before they play a game.

"I mean deal but I feel like I should get a bed to myself because I sleep with two people already. Hell, maybe the floor will be better." Penelope finds a ball for herself.

In the first round, it came out to Elton, Sam, Penelope, Corey then Colby. Sam and Elton then decide to make a deal for more crap with bed-making. "I get both beds." Elton laughs, "And since I get both... Penelope gets the other bed to herself tonight."

"YES!" She cheers giving him a hug then happy dances.

"Have fun with no cuddles from us." Colby sticks his tongue out at her.

"I will admit it's so much warm in between the two of them but I also have no room so I don't care tonight."

Back at the hotel Elton and Penelope laugh at the three lying between the beds on the floor while they jump bed to bed over them.

"Alright, guys. That's it for today's video. I'm going to enjoy my bed and Penny is going to enjoy her bed tonight. Make sure to check out all of their channels." Elton ends the video.

"Do we seriously have to sleep on the floor?" Corey asks.

"Yes." Elton and Penelope say together.

"Fine." He pouts as she gets them a blanket for them.

"Enjoy y'all cuddles." She sends kisses to them jumping onto her bed.

Today everyone was going snowboarding and they all joked about falling on their faces the whole day. Penelope laughs as Colby, Sam, and Corey have trouble getting up off their butts.

"Why are you laughing? Let's see you get up." Sam crosses his arms so she pops up just fine.

"Have you done this before?" Elton asks.

"No, I just have balance." She giggles so Colby shoves her to fall and they both go down. "Asshat." She lays there annoyed.

"Need help now?" Elton chuckles.

"I got it." She groans getting up.

"I'm embarrassed how you're better at this than me." Colby says as they stay by each other.

"Not by much." She giggles, "I say on the big hill I'll be on my hands and knees more."

For the lift up Elton, Corey, and Sam rush to get on one but Colby stays back to sit with Penelope so she isn't alone. "Do you miss having the bed to yourself since we're back to sharing again?"

"No really. That night I kind of missed the extra warmth." She chuckles, "Kat texted me am I keeping Sam warm with my cuddles. She doesn't want him coming back purple and blue."

"Out of everyone, he would turn that color first." Colby agrees, "Do you still feel like a burden on this trip?"

"Not as much anymore but I still have my little moments where I do." She tells him truthfully, "But thank you and Sam for talking Elton and Corey into letting me come. I probably would be scared home alone with Darwin coming by. I'd be screwed if I did live alone and weren't friends with you."

"Luckily you have me and Sam." He nudges her as they join the other three.

They start to go and Penelope was the farthest before falling because Colby bumps into her so they both go down, "Colby." She whines as they both have trouble getting back up.

"I couldn't stop. I'm sorry." He gives up and just sits down.

The more they go down Corey has trouble so they just sit and lay around waiting for him. Penelope tells Sam about Kat texting her making him laugh while Colby listens to them as he keeps his eyes on Corey.

"I'm lucky I don't have a girl version of Darwin."

"Yeah, because girls are worse than guys when it comes to stuff like that. But she knows we are the definition of just friends." Penelope laughs sitting up from lying down.

"Have you ever had a tiny crush on Penelope when we were younger?" Colby looks back at them.

"7th grade for like two months but we hardly talked." Sam laughs, "What about you?" He gives him a look so Colby just rolls his eyes looking away.

After a long day and basically being the last ones in the mountain they head back to the bottom done for the day. Before going inside Elton says he's tired of sharing a bed with Corey so they play a game so he can sleep alone again like last time he won at bowling.

"Well, I'll know the outcome when you guys come in. I'm cold." Penelope heads to the room to get ready for bed.

When the guys came in everyone but Corey was in their underwear, "Elton won." Colby huffs.

"I'm not surprised." She says lying on the bed in her spot as they all get changed for bed too.

"I get this bed all to myself. And you guys get here. And apparently, we didn't specify that I get the bed to myself." Elton shows Corey lying at the foot of the other bed the three shared.

"They're going to let me sleep with them tonight. They're going to let me sleep in their bed tonight. Don't take that the wrong way." Corey laughs.

"How are four of us sharing a full-size bed?" Penelope looks at them.

"We all cuddle." Sam says so Corey leans back in her then the other two cuddle them.

"This is going to be hell." Penelope groans.

That’s the problem. There was never any drama between Elton and SnC. They just grew apart (which happens). The drama was cause by lies and rumors SnC “fans” were spreading. That doesn’t mean Elton wasn’t upset or a little petty, but the big issues that people hated him for weren’t real/true.

There absolutely was one-sided drama, though. It just wasn't the drama that tiktok ran with and turned into a whole big spectacle.

Elton has been shit talking them for "stealing" his content since they flipped format to 25x25 back in 2020. This is not alleged rumor and innuendo. We have the screenshots of things he said. The fans didn't have a single issue with Elton until he got caught repeatedly talking shit on them- for something that today, Sam claimed nobody in that group ever cared about (the copying content thing). This whole thing started because of that. The stupid tiktok bullshit didn't start until well after Elton invented beef with snc and fostered an us-vs-them environment that turned into the absolute shitshow it later became.

Look, I did not like the tiktok stuff at all. I fought against it whenever I saw that shit popping up. I thought it was stupid and embarrassing. I really do think Corey does a lot of talking behind people’s backs. I remember Jake talking about (I believe this was on Trisha’s podcast) how he’s happier now that he doesn’t have certain people in his life who are two faced like that. And sure it’s vague enough that it could be about anyone but I always kind of got a vibe that he didn’t feel 100% comfortable in the trap house friend group (especially in some of the haunted videos they did when snc first started getting into it) Jake always looked like to me like he wasn’t completely comfortable in the group and I always wondered if Corey was partly to blame. Obviously this all just my assumption though 🤷‍♀️

my opinion of corey has always been that he doesn't like working and would rather do the bare minimum and ride the coattails of other ppl than actually try and make a name for himself bc that's too much effort lol

and i think he feels that way bc he thinks he's too good to work for it. he should just magically be successful.

i mean, think of it this way: when the trap house first began all the way back in 2017, snc weren't even remotely as popular as they are now. if anything corey and elton were the more known ones. corey was relatively known bc of vine and elton was known bc he was besties with everyone in the vlog squad circle. snc were doing well for themselves, but they didn't even hit a mil subs until 2018. they were just starting to gain momentum in their careers.

corey benefitted from living with them and everyone else in that house bc they could all be in each other's vids and bounce ideas off of one another. collabing constantly got him well known amongst fans without him having to really try. then when they all moved into apartments, that's when snc's career started to really go up bc they were doing the haunted content with corey and jake. so corey was, again, becoming well known bc of snc. and mind you, dude wasn't posting that often. he's never been consistent in his content. which is so dumb bc the amount of money he would have been making if he was would have been crazy.

then when they all move back in together, again, he benefits. but a riff of some kind ended up happening in that friend group (i've always chalked it up to snc becoming landlords since this was their house and not just a place they were all renting and i think they may have laid down the law a bit too hard and that pissed off corey and jake) and so they all start to split ways. this is also when snc were losing everyone bc i think certain friends of theirs thought that snc were gonna start losing for the first time instead of gaining. snc were starting to switch their content over from haunted to 25x25. snc's old friends saw the writing on the walls, realized snc weren't gonna be collabing as much, and thus dumped them for knj's friend group.

corey claims that he wanted to move out and pursue dancing and music, since that's why he moved to la in the first place. he made like three songs and moved in with elton and immediately started doing tfil/overnight.

and around this time, snc weren't doing well. views were down, 25x25 was flopping hard. and this is when elton and corey weirdly start hating on snc bc they think they are copying them bc of tfil and 25x25 were semi similar. and then when snc start to shift back into haunted, i think corey got pissed bc here he was, leaving snc behind and shitting on them, but now they were stepping into their space once more and instantly doing significantly better than him and elton.

and as time has gone on, he's still this way. with all the shit happening between him and elton, i've basically been proven right: he doesn't like to work. he doesn't try, but expects fantastic results. it's hilarious.

what's funnier about all of this, if he wasn't such a shit talker, they could have all collabed and it would have worked out so well for him. but instead, he wanted to act like snc were lesser than (for whatever reason - most likely jealousy) and that sullied any collaboration that could have happened. and i wouldn't be surprised when elton has alluded to "ppl made me think snc were talking shit about me when they really weren't" he was referring to corey, but didn't want to outright say it. and if that's the case, that's also why snc don't fuck with him anymore either.

sure, they can all be cordial and whatnot, that's a given. but to be friends again? don't think so. i mean, corey couldn't even publicly wish colby well when he got cancer. fuck him. idc, that man can go the way of vine and have his career die off for all i care lol

as for jake, yeah… idk if he's referring to corey. but them not hanging out is kind of proof of that. but who knows. maybe something else happened that we don't know about.
