And oh *boy* is the one in red in bad shape.

She thought she was rough when she was in the middle of destabilizing but this guy has her beat. Ateast when she was melting into a puddle of goo it was all pure, healthy ectoplasm. The guy in red *reeked* of foul, fetid ecto, the kind of heavy, rancid rot that came from shattered Cores and the spilled ectopalsm of ghosts savagely crushed and ripped away from the normal cycles of Life and Death and After.

Big Red smelled of the Pools of Perfidy.

Pandora took her and Danny to see them once. Solemn and mournful, wanting to impart the heavy history that came with the Crown Danny had unintentionally claimed. A pilgrimage of grief and remembrance.

The pools were the untouchable second graves of those ghosts that Pariah Dark had destroyed in the name of making a statement. Those of his subjects who had seen what he was planning, the terror and damage he was going to do and attempted to reach out to their once respected and revered King. Pariah had sworn them an Oath that he would meet them fairly and without malice, would listen to them with the fairness and openness he had always granted his subjects.

He had slaughtered them instead. Crushed their Cores, destroying thousands of souls so that they could not pass on into the After. Total and complete annihilation, the single most abhorrent and taboo thing it was possible to do.

The Pools of Perfidy were *toxic* with all the anger and betrayal that soaked the ectopalsm left behind. Attempts had been made to try and do something with them, to make some semblance of a proper resting place but in the end they were simply too dangerous for any of the dead to get too close too without being driven insane.

Dani couldn't even imagine what they'd do to a living - or even half living - human.

Or well, she *couldn't* imagine until she was watching with growing horror as the guy in red started hunting the younger boy.

It seemed the fouled ectoplasm did pretty much the same thing, just toned down. Which was to say a whole lot of violent rage, an unfocused drive for vengeance and a whole lot of bat shit crazy.

Preparing herself to jump in before Big Red did something he'd probably never be able to forgive himself for, Elle crossed her fingers that Frostbite had made some progress on that idea for cleaning out the Pools since she last saw him, because ready or not she was going to be bringing him a pretty hostile patient in need of a good detox.

On Dani's tour of the world, she crashes through a weird T shaped building. It's a strange enough building that she decides to snoop around a bit. It's pretty interesting. There were planes and rocketships and a helicopter on the top floor. The next floor was storage. Then there were bedrooms. And bedrooms. And another set of bedrooms. Then there was a library and den. Then a rec room and a kitchen. Then a bunch of boring rooms. For how many bedrooms there were in the tower there was a surprising lack of occupants. She decided she'd bunk in the mostly empty bedroom for a few days before she moved on again.

A few days in, a boy in a red, green, black, and yellow outfit came. And a few hours later, another guy in a red helmet joined them. Both were unaware of their invisible guest. But then again, it seems the boy wasn't expecting anyone to be in the tower. And it was only made more obvious when he went on the defensive as soon as he saw the other boy.
