yeah shows with awesome first seasons are great and all but I have such a fondness for shows that have a strong and promising start, like good television for sure, but then each season just gets even better! it’s truly a joy of TV

How far are you into Arc-V? What are your thoughts?

I just finished episode 49, so I'm officially done with Season 1! Takin a lil break before I get back in it...I'm really enjoying myself so far :3 Arc-V's cast is just delightful, I swear every ygo just puts something in its ensembles that makes me so happy to see all of these guys bouncing around dueling and getting into shit. Also action duels are an absolute blast, one of the best decisions yugioh ever made--they're literally like "what if duels were a Pokemon battle, but also a mid 2000's network tv obstacle course game show ala Wipeout/American Ninja Warrior" and it FUCKING RULESSSS.

also shit is Just Starting to Hit The Fan Enough that I'm getting Scared. slash POS!!! Sick and twisted evil duel academy is already starting to cook me a little. Living in mild fear of Things to Come!!

SO yeah, havin a good one so far, I am... deeply curious to see how the series progress from here. I'm especially on the edge of my seat for when Arc-V supposedly gets Bad. I Love When Yugioh Is Bad.

So, I'm asexual (a grey-demi mix, I think?) And like... I can process conventional appealing appearances. But I cannot actually understand it.

I'm specifically bringing this up for 1 or 2 reasons (depending on how you look at it). 1, I've literally never had a celebrity crush. Like... I dont– how can you be attracted to someone you've never talked to? And that brings me to the second thing.

People simping over Chase, I can understand. But it doesn't stop me from being confused whenever I come across it. It's just like... he's a guy... he's like 5'6 or whatever. He's strong and flippy. Why are... like, what's the big deal?

Absolutely no hate to people who have fictional crushes or celebrity crushes, I just think it's funny; my perspective. Like, I just don't understand this perfectly normal thing. That's hilarious to me.

Is it just me or does Cate look super similar to Carla from Elite. Even her hairstyle looks the same. Carla had that same straight blonde hair with the straight side bangs in s2. I feel like they even have similar expressions when they act. I feel like the styling/character was somewhat inspired by Carla’s look

SHE DOES! i saw someone mention this a couple weeks ago on twitter and that comparison is just so spot on to me. the way carla and cate are both in my top 3 characters for their respective shows too.

idk if i believe they were inspired by carla, just bc cate’s styling is definitely more casual and comfy than carla’s but i do see the similarities in their characters.

I love Suzune and Kiyotaka's friendship, or comradarie or whatever else you may call it. I know he also thought of her as a tool, and isn't fully himself sometimes around her but they still have by far a very genuine and kinda realistic bond with each other than all other characters we have seen. I like how they're besties and hang out with each other & they're both like more about quality time & results than quantity.

I just love my beloved cold, practical babies. I hope Suzune can grow and discover that she doesn't need to seek her brother's approval & Kiyotaka also truly heals. The interesting thing about COTE is that it shows you won't always have an ideal environment for healing and self growth, like the school is a pretty shitty place tbh but I love that Kiyotaka, Suzune (& Kei) are all going to experience self growth in this very place, in these "unfavourable" circumstances, even if I feel all they need are endless hugs & love.

Lu saves Guzman’s life on the bridge - 1.08

Guzman is in so much pain. Lu is so in love with him. And even though they are so bad for each other in the long run, they get this beautiful moment here, where Lu saves his life, and Guzman for once says exactly what she needs to hear: “I need you, Lu.”
