so aj @agoodequaltimeinwellington tagged me in what’s always my favorite tag meme: MUSIC!!! i could literally write a million words about music at any given moment in time haha. music is what keeps me going; it’s the blood in my veins!

i’d like to talk a little bit about the year and how music has reflected different points in time and since i’m so verbose, everything will be behind the cut so i don’t kill your dash! <3

gussy - mornings [this was, surprisingly, my most played song of 2017, but i feel like it’s an accurate representation of how my year went overall! i got back into tumblr and the one direction fandom and it’s exhausting, but so worth it. mentally, this year was rather tough. i made some new friends and lost some old ones, reconnected and cut ties. i’ve been struggling lately with wanting to pack up and move across the country this year, too. but while there’s a sense of resignation and sadness to the song, the beat and tone of their voice give a sliver of hope! it’s perfect that this was my most played song!]
