Note
for the parody of fuck marry kill thingy-- sero todoroki and mina bc why not. oh also fuyumi shouto and natsuo. and grover and annabeth and percy. i should probably send these in separate asks but ive already gotten this far
- Sero, Todoroki, Mina
I'd want Sero as my new employee trainer at McDonalds just because I feel like he'd be pretty chill. I think being trapped in an elevator with Mina for ten hours wouldn't be fun because,,, pink girl hmg and Todoroki would be a decent partner to have for a whole semester. I think? He has big science nerd vibes but maybe that's Parallax.
- Fuyumi, Shouto, Natsuo
Natsuo for new emplooyee trainer at McDonalds 2020 for the exact same reason as Sero, pun intended. Shouto for being trapped in an elevator with because he could use his ice quirk so I wouldn't suffer at the hands of elevator heat and we wouldn't have to socialise for ten hours. Fuyumi would also be a good choice as a lab partner for obvious reasons
- Grover, Annabeth, Percy
Annabeth for new employee trainer at McDonalds because she'd be okay at training new employees?? Hopefully?? Grover for the elevator because he seems very friendly amd nice and 10 hours with him wouldn't be so bad. Percy for a lab partner because he just seems like a good choice

Papers in Industrial Relations: Canadian Immigrant Job Training And European Concept of Work
Tumblr media
Canadian Perspective: Job Training
“Job training is one of the most important aspects of skill formation and human capital accumulation. In this study, we use longitudinal Canadian linked employer–employee data to examine whether white/visible minority immigrants and Canadian‐born emplooyees experience different opportunities in two well‐defined measures of firm‐sponsored training: on‐the‐job training and classroom training. While we find no differences in on‐the‐job training between different groups, our results suggest that visible minority immigrants are significantly less likely to receive classroom training, and receive fewer and shorter classroom training courses, an experience that is not shared by white immigrants. For male visible minority immigrants, these gaps are entirely driven by their differential sorting into workplaces with fewer training opportunities. For their female counterparts, however, they are mainly driven by differences that emerge within workplaces. We find no evidence that years spent in Canada or education level can appreciably reduce these gaps. Accounting for potential differences in career paths and hierarchical level also fails to explain these differences. We find, however, that these gaps are only experienced by visible minority immigrants who work in the for‐profit sector, with those in the nonprofit sector experiencing positive or no gaps in training. Finally, we show that other poor labor market outcomes of visible minority immigrants, including their wages and promotion opportunities, stem in part from these training gaps.”

European Perspective: Labour Law and the Concept of Work
“It is generally considered to be the object of labour law to protect workers. However, the concept of 'work'-the activity which workers undertake-has not received similarly critical attention by labour law scholars. Indeed, it appears that there are at least two conceptions of 'work' in the labour law literature which are discontinuous from each other. One such perspective is that of work carried out in the paid labour market; the other perspective is that of care work. This paper aims to develop a single continuous principle which reconciles, subsumes and consolidates these two competing conceptions of work into a single concept of work. The paper is structured as follows. It first considers the nature of work. The account provided focuses on work as the productive use and development of a person's skills. The paper nests this general concept of work within the labour law scholarship on 'personal work relations'. The paper then makes the theoretical perspective developed thus far concrete by analysing Irish and European case law, highlighting the extent to which such a unified, single concept of work can currently be made out in practice, and how it could be further developed in the future.”
