I've seen someone call Din's rifle a "warcrime of a blaster" and I wonder if they knew how right they were. See, the official name for that weapon is amban phase-pulse blaster, and it's a disrupter rifle.

Now, if you watched Rebels you probably should be thinking "oh," but for the unaware, Disrupter weapons, specifically the T-7, were used by the Empire to effectively genocide the Lasat people.

It's one of the presumably few weapon types banned by both the Imperial Senate and the Rebel Alliance due to the following;

"When fired upon a biological target, the victim was disintegrated atom by atom, resulting in a slow, painful death"

Now, based on the show the Amban's deaths don't look slow, but the rest? Pretty clearly applies.
