oh he really knows how to get a girl going

yes im making fun of him a bit but honestly this did get me going. there's the obvious turn on of him being a hot nerd, its a given that he's really sexy when he starts getting technical with drum stuff. but more importantly for me as a drummer this makes me melt. one thing i could never deny was how hot it is to watch someone set up their drums. call me a dork but something about watching a guys hands as he sets up stands, screwing everything in place, tuning his drums (don't get me started on being asked to hand someone a drum key and your hands inevitably touching during the exchange), turning the snares on and off oh my god seeing someone flip that little lever makes me squirm. and dont even get me started on taking the equipment down oh god... the way they always rush to collapse all the stands and hardware either because they've still got a buzz of adrenaline from playing or because they had a hard time with a specific lick and they're still frustrated about it. watching the self control they are so good at enforcing when it comes time to handle the fragile drum heads and cymbals, treating them with so much more care than you saw them use when working with hardware. and then the sigh they let out when everything is finally all packed up and their work is done and their body just relaxes and their whole demeanor shifts and okay ill shut up now oh my god

so maybe i still have a lot of pent up frustration from being percussionist in highschool. maybe drumline messed me up a bit. maybe i had a crush on the senior who played drumset maybe he was older than me and mean to me and maybe matt makes all those feelings resurface. maybe. idk
