The festival was organized at Noida Film City, and Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT, inaugurated the event. While addressing the students, Dr. Marwah expressed his admiration for the creativity and dedication displayed by the AAFTians. “I am impressed by the presentations by our students. Festivals like Diwali bring a lot of enthusiasm and zest into our lives. In a momentous move 12 years ago, AAFT declared February 12th as the International Day of Journalism when no such day existed on the United Nations Calendar to honor the contribution of journalists worldwide. The institution took the initiative by launching the first-ever Festival of Journalism in 2013, and since then, it has gained momentum.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair for the International Journalism Centre – a body representing 40,000 media professionals globally – expressed his delight that numerous journalistic organizations across India now celebrate this significant day.

The event, graced by prominent personalities from various fields, was hosted at the behest of Sandeep Marwah, the President of Marwah Studios.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a visionary in the world of media and entertainment, shared his remarkable journey, emphasizing his pivotal role in the establishment of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, and AAFT. They’ve mastered the ways and means of publishing a newsletter on a daily basis. Our purpose of putting them on this job is fulfilled with this third issue on the third day of the festival,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT.

Noida: The second edition of the Irish Film Festival of India (IFFI) was inaugurated at Marwah Studios with grand celebrations, highlighting the strong cultural ties between India and Ireland. The festival’s inauguration was graced by esteemed guests, including Raymond Mullen, the Deputy Ambassador of Ireland to India, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, Mike Berry from Universal Studios, USA, celebrated actor and filmmaker Nileish Malhotra from Mumbai, Dr. Neeraj K Sharma, Consul General of Palau, and Siraz Zaidi, an actor and filmmaker from Dublin, Ireland, who traveled especially for the event.
Organized by the Indo-Ireland Film and Cultural Forum in association with the Embassy of Ireland in India and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, the festival is a proud celebration of Irish cinema, offering Indian audiences a glimpse into Ireland’s rich cinematic culture. “It is a delight to witness the second edition of this festival, which has drawn an enthusiastic audience from across the film, television, and media industries, as well as cinema lovers from various walks of life,” expressed Dr. Marwah. “Ireland has been a partner in many of our significant events, including the Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival, and Global Fashion Week.”
During his address, Raymond Mullen shared insights into Ireland’s creative industry and the global appeal of Irish cinema. He highlighted the strong cultural connections between Ireland and India, noting how the arts continue to bridge the two nations. “Irish films hold a unique place in world cinema for their storytelling, emotional depth, and reflection of our cultural heritage,” Mullen stated.
Siraj Zaidi ,The Festival Director of Indian Film Festival of Ireland spoke about the Irish Film Industry and the role of Indian Cinema playing in uniting these two countries. He has been in producing, directing , acting in cinema now for a long time. His involvement with Cinema is now almost forty years.
Actor and producer Nileish Malhotra shared anecdotes about his experiences in Ireland’s film industry, offering the audience a glimpse into his journey as an artist in a cross-cultural context. Meanwhile, Mike Berry from Universal Studios praised the depth and beauty of Ireland’s culture, emphasizing how Irish films capture the essence of the nation.
Dr. Neeraj Sharma expressed gratitude for being included in the festival, appreciating the opportunity to strengthen ties between Ireland and Palau. “Events like this create new avenues for cultural exchange and understanding,” he noted.
The festival’s program featured three acclaimed Irish films in two days of festival including My Foot by Jim Sheridan, Peter O’Toole Along The Sky Road to Acaba also by Jim Sheridan, and Baltimore by Joe Lawlor and Christine Molloy. These films captivated the audience with their unique narratives and cinematic artistry informed Tanvi Duggle Cultural Attache of Ireland Embassy.

Noida: A distinguished delegation of senior journalists from Nepal visited Marwah Studios as part of the ongoing efforts by the Indo-Nepal Film and Cultural Forum (INFCF) to strengthen relations between India and Nepal. The visit was organized at the invitation of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chair of the Indo-Nepal Film and Cultural Forum.
The delegation interacted with members of ICMEI and students from the AAFT School of Journalism. The event also featured a special address by Vipin Gaur, Secretary General of the Newspapers Association of India (NAI), who spoke about the current landscape of Indian journalism. Noida, India – October 2024: As part of the 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024, a thought-provoking seminar titled “How Urdu and Hindi Enhance our Mother Tongue” was held at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Festival President, who emphasized the importance of language as a binding force in cultural and literary evolution.
Prominent literary figures and speakers from various fields shared their insights during the seminar. Dr. Rachna Nirmal, Poet and Author, expressed her views on the richness of both Urdu and Hindi languages in contributing to the cultural fabric of India. Dr. Pallavi Prakash, Writer and Filmmaker, highlighted how storytelling through these languages enhances emotional connectivity. Poonam Kalra, Author and Motivational Speaker, added her perspective on how language shapes personal growth and motivation.
The event also witnessed valuable inputs from Dr. Vivek Gautam, Author and Chairman of Udbhav, who spoke about the cultural significance of both languages. Dr. PK Rajput, Thought Leader and Author, further narrated the role of language in shaping ideologies. Sunil Salgia, Scriptwriter and Film Director, spoke about the influence of Urdu and Hindi in Indian cinema, while Rais Azam Khan, Poet and Author, enriched the session with his poetic expressions.
One of the significant highlights of the event was the release of the book Love Beyond Forever, authored by Dr. Pallavi Prakash. The book, focusing on the themes of love and human relationships, added to the vibrant literary discourse of the festival.
The newsletter for the event, designed and prepared by students of AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication, was also released during the seminar.
The event was supported by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the Asian Academy of Arts, underlining the commitment of the festival to promote linguistic and cultural exchanges.

Noida, India: The AAFT School of Mass Communication and Journalism celebrated a significant milestone as the AAFT Channel marked its two-year anniversary. The occasion was commemorated with the launch of a special poster, unveiled by the entire team of the AAFT School of Mass Communication and Journalism during a ceremony held at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder-President of AAFT University of Media and Arts, addressed the gathering, highlighting the unique advantages of an in-house channel operated by journalism students. “The AAFT Channel provides a practical platform for students to gain hands-on experience in news production, broadcasting, and media management. It empowers them to understand the real-world dynamics of the media industry while still pursuing their academic studies,” Dr. Marwah stated.
Over the past two years, the AAFT Channel has become an essential training ground for students, giving them the opportunity to create, produce, and present their own content across various media formats. From news and current affairs to documentaries and cultural programs, the channel has showcased the talents and creativity of AAFT’s journalism students.
The event celebrated not only the success of the AAFT Channel but also the growth and achievements of its student-led broadcasting team, which has worked diligently to ensure that the channel serves as a professional platform while maintaining the educational objectives of the institution.

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, inaugurated the 78th session on the “Need for Positive and Constructive Journalism in India.” Organized by RJS Media under the leadership of Uday K. Manna, this seminar took place at the Ramakrishna Mission in New Delhi, focusing on the critical role of media in fostering positivity and constructive narratives.
Reflecting on three decades of dedication to promoting positive media, Dr. Marwah emphasized, “For thirty years, we at the International Journalism Centre have steadfastly believed in the power of positive and constructive media. We have successfully brought together over 40,000 media professionals who share this commitment to supporting good work in society. At AAFT School of Journalism, we continue to emphasize the importance of positive and constructive media.”
The event saw the participation of Swami Sarvalokanand Ji Maharaj, Secretary General of Ramakrishna Mission, who encouraged journalists to embrace positivity in their work and contribute to the nation’s development across business, profession, art, and culture.
Uday K. Manna, the driving force behind RJS Media, shared insights into the organization’s vision, mission, and objectives. The event also featured the release of three books, each contributing to the broader conversation on constructive journalism.
In recognition of his tireless contributions to the field of journalism, Dr. Marwah was honored by the organization. His pioneering efforts as the founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, AAFT University, and the International Journalism Centre, among other institutions, have significantly impacted the media landscape in India and abroad. 17th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Inaugurated at Marwah Studios

Noida, June 16, 2024: The 17th edition of the International Festival of Cellphone Cinema was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and fanfare at Marwah Studios. This pioneering festival, which celebrates the art of filmmaking using mobile phones, has come a long way since its inception in 2007.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Festival of Cellphone Cinema, proudly reminisced about the festival’s origins. “We were the first in the world to start a festival of films made from mobiles. In 2007, we conducted our first festival and surprised the whole world. That same year, we also produced a film on mobile in association with Karl Bardosh, Master Professor at Tisch School of Arts, New York University. The film was made half in Noida and half in New York,” he shared.
Dr. Marwah further highlighted the global influence of the festival, stating, “We have been instrumental in starting mobile festivals in New York, USA, Budapest in Hungary, and Cannes in France. The rest is history.”
The event saw a large audience from different strata of life, all keenly listening to the speakers. The guest of honours included notable personalities from various fields: Ludmilla Chakrabarty, Author, who delivered an inspiring speech about the transformative power of mobile cinema.. Sanjeev Sood, Cinematographer, shared his insights on the evolving landscape of filmmaking., Rajeev K Sharma, IPS, discussed the importance of mobile technology in modern communication, Kushaal Chawla, Filmmaker, expressed his admiration for the innovative platform provided by the festival.,
Ashok Tyagi, Film Maker, narrated his experiences and the impact of mobile filmmaking on traditional cinema., Yogesh Mishra, Dean of AAFT, condensed the essence of the festival’s significance and its contribution to the creative industry. The program was followed by screening of mobile films.
The festival continues to be a trailblazer, encouraging filmmakers from around the world to explore and experiment with mobile technology. It stands as a testament to the democratization of filmmaking, making it accessible to everyone with a creative vision and a mobile phone.
Later Dr Sandeep Marwah horned the dignitaries with life membership of IJC-International Journalism Centre and presented participation certificates to guest from different parts of the country.
