Clint didn't bother looking back to see if Hinata was following him as he made his way to the dock and onto the boat. "Naw, nothin' happened." He answers finally, looking to the other. "When I was a kid, workin' on th'fishin' boats on th'bayou, someone told me; if y'ever got somethin' important t'talk about, do it on th'water. Less distractions that way." The short explanation came, deciding not to mention that the rest of the quote included that if the conversation turned ugly, water was an easy place to dump a body. Of course this wasn't anything like that, but it was something that had been on Clint's mind for a while and he needed to get it off his chest in a way where it couldn't be brushed to the side.

Hinata was eating a snack in he scuba diving club's break room when Clint spoke. His brows rose and he even looked behind him to make sure Clint wasn't speaking to someone else that Hinata may not have noticed being in the same room with him.

Hinata shoved the rest of his Reese's cup into his mouth and hopped up, grabbing his rain coat and scarf as he followed his friend. "Did something happen?" He spoke with a mouthful of chocolate and peanut butter.
