I'm not the only one who thought Triple Deluxe was oddly difficult right?

im reading this super somber military girl doujin (might be a boatgirl thing) and it really makes me realize again how important a strong sense of aesthetic is. Especially with all the Goblin Slayer mockery currently going on, the art style and generic as fuck aesthetic makes the edgy parts laughable at best. The attempted edginess has no edge.

This shipgirl doujin though is edge concentrate but the art and aesthetic just gives it an incredibly somber mood that's hard to shake off. The writing is very nice too I guess. In the form of to the point diary entries that hint to you at something human and maybe even tender, but superimposed onto the coldness of war and death.

This DJ really reminds me of girls last tour in mood.  But, well, much generally darker and moodier. Not that GLT didn't have its moments... Meaningful. That's the word I was looking for. Subtle and meaningful. Dark and edgy things are much better with a strong sense of aesthetic / mood, and subtle expressions that imply intricate, complex feelings in simple, wordless ways. Kind of reminds me of the 9 Touhou Doujin in mood. Very moody and narration-centric, with an undercurrent of unhinged. Nice.

To die in June is the doujinshi name btw. Beautiful and worth keeping imo.

finally finished!! god took me 2 days but it was worth it, i decided took Telly around the multiverse, so they could be cheered up by various Mr. Puzzles on their way!

SMGP made a meme with Telly, they sure enjoyed the meme this meme guardian did, who doesn't love a cute Capybara meme!? they're cute and have a dumb face! SMGP is proud of that meme and made Telly a bit more happy!

Woah! Rainbows!! Trickster sure knows how to cheer up innocent kids, with his magic he would do lot of colorful and sparkling rainbows and maybe even make em float, or have fun with some fun games Trickster can summon! does Telly love rainbows? 😊

Guardian of Popstar used the Circus ability (from Kirby Triple Deluxe) so he could do tricks of juggling for the little guy! they seem have fun, Guardian of Popstar not much- but at least he's making them happy that's matter! (no Dedede was injured after Telly left, no no-)

Trivia shows Telly about the multiverse, is surprising Telly is interested on what Trivia does, lol normally no one is interested on what he does, but they do, maybe all this traveling made them curious 🤔 whatever it was, Trivia is more than happy to teach the little guy all he knows!

Doll Puzzles is mute as well, but hey, that won't stop him of try be the adult in this situation (since he is a kid as well on soul, he died at 9 years old) to cheer up Telly, he told them by writing to draw the thing makes them happy, they of course draw their dad! how cute, Doll Puzzles approves! that's how two mute tv headed kids spend their moment together i guess! hope Telly feels a bit better with that therapy

for finish the tour, KuromiPuzzles2000 says some motivational words to Telly...she knows well how is live away from the family, but she gives hope to the little guy that soon they'll see their dad, and gave them a plush! for remember their journey on the different multiverses

PERSONALITY.

Genesis is a kind, caring figure haunted by a past only they remember- and it doesn’t matter too much in the grand scheme of things, anyway. They have taken on the role of a therapist, and their personality generally fits the stereotypical view of a therapist. Of course, they aren’t without their flaws- often trying too hard to reach a goal or blaming everything on themselves.

BACKSTORY.

Genesis is from the Forgotten Land. Or, as the residents prefer to call it, the New World.

Their origins are mostly hidden. I mean, you don’t really want to tell people that- well. I’m not going to tell you their secrets. That’s just rude. They’ll tell you when they’re ready.

Hopefully.

All I can tell you is that they have a strange connection to Fecto Forgo.

Oh, well, I’ll tell you a bit more.

Let’s see… I’m sure it was written down somewhere around here.

“Since it’s capture, ID-F85 has only shown activity once- it’s brain patterns seem to suggest that it is dreaming. But that is a fanciful observation, and we are not fanciful people. A monster cannot dream.” — Retired Lab Discovera Tour, Year Unknown

The creature known as Fecto Elfilis had split into two- Fecto Forgo and Elfilin. The Ancients had long abandoned the planet, taking off to Shiver Star. Imprisoned, alone, unable to move and lost in a world without any creatures capable of thought- yet, they drifted. They dreamed. And in their dreams surfaced memories.

A land of dust and fire. A trickster magician.

A world of flora. A sorrowful spindler.

And their own great form, lost to the cruel experiments of the people who lived here, so desperate to leave.

From those dreams, came Genesis. A creation of stardust and love. They wandered throughout the abandoned land, watching as the beasts gained intelligence, and talking with them. When trapped in a collapsing tunnel, they met Elfilin, who saved them. The two then became friends.

They also met Gamma Knight, who landed in the forgotten land after [REDACTED]. Genesis helped them flee to [REDACTED].

When the Beast Pack was formed, Genesis stayed out of the way, recognising the work of their progenitor. But when Elfilin was captured, they followed Kirby from a distance, leaving behind Maxim Tomatoes and vanishing without a trace.

When Elfilis was defeated, Elfilin and Genesis reunited, and the former took the latter to Dreamland, where they both settled.

And they decided to settle on a rather successful career.

It had been a solid five hours since Kirby had started telling Genesis about the 'monsters' they'd fought, with Dedede and Meta Knight himself chipping in when needed; sometimes to explain their actions while the puffball had been defeating the newest threat to Popstar, sometimes to correct him or add a detail. But instead of getting frustrated or tired, Genesis had only listened politely, nodding as they talked. […] "Those monsters you fought... I'd be terrified, honestly. But you've survived all of it, and you're still here, ready to face the next battle, and that means you're exceptionally resilient. But life isn't all about battles." Genesis continued. "It's pretty late, so I'll end the session here, but think about it. Come back if you need to." — Chapter Two, Session One, These Creatures I’ve Seen

Well, that wasn’t a bit more, that was a lot more. But there are still some mysteries. Will you uncover them? Let’s find out.

anyways, lore time!

so, my kirby gijinka set thing is a multiversal AU where every single universe has a pink person (kirby verse has.. kirby, tinkle verse has popopo, steampunk verse has carvai and Clash has Pink Knight) as the true savior to all and stuff. kirby verse is a mixture of game n anime, meaning that rbay events happens first before kirbo dreamland and so on. while popopo verse is CLASSIC/pilot AU with bits of the novel and nana/thorn queen manga thrown in. in this verse, CROWNED dedede has a daughter and his right hand is a spikies wielder named thorn queen.. 80% of kirby's friends/enemies counterpart in popopo verse are just their beta designs or just.. designs I don't think they would fit in kirby verse (like DXs)

Popopo Triple deluxe story is dedede tour basically, except the whole kidnapping thing still happenes, not to him but, to his daughter. he and popopo team up to climb up all the way to the kingdom of floralia and just like in the game, Crowned DeDeDe throws hand with DX, she goes peter death pose, he gets sucked into the mirror world, DX rises again and popopo fights her in the background..

If Elfilis and Elfilin has voice actors voicing them, who would it be and why according to your headcanon?

Oh what a great question!! Thanks for asking!

I go back and forth on my personal head canons... Ask me this again in six months and I may have a different answer! :P But I think right now, for the versions of these characters in the Roleswap AU, I imagine them both voiced by Cristina Vee! She has an amazing range!

I'd imagine Elfilis to sound like Bennett from Genshin Impact- But Elfilis would probably talk slightly slower than Bennett. He'd enunciate his words with the airy and bouncy diction of the Lab Discovera tour narration- but especially like the second half of the tour where the narrator voice sounds more intentional and serious.

We'll go into more detail on this later in the comic, but before meeting our protagonists, Elfilis didn't really experience having a conversation before, they only observed from afar and mimicked what they remembered. This observing from afar is also why he could understand Popstar's language. He'd been hanging around Waddle Dee Town and with enough listening and watching, began understanding it over time.

And who knows? This is just a theory but maybe a fun one to think about- Perhaps the evolution of the Forgotten Language into Popstar's language could be compared to the evolution of Latin into the Romance languages! (Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian, and Catalan) Maybe that's what could've helped Elfilis pick up the new language a little faster...

ANYWAY so when Dedede asked Elfilis to speak in his own voice instead of mimicking theirs, they quoted lines from the lab tour. They don't remember the entire speech- only fragments of phrases are in their memory. But for some reason, it's one of the earliest memories they have. At that moment, he picked his own natural speaking voice by referencing the only other voice they could recall that didn't already belong to someone else....

As for Elfilin I think he'd sound like Tulin from Legend of Zelda! Mostly because his voice is pitched slightly higher. And Elfilin would talk a bit faster than Elfilis. I can't go into much more detail as to why, I'm afraid. Just have to wait and see! :'D
